Strategy Guide:
For this achievement, your group must not allow the Large Oozes that spawn throughout the encounter reach 5 stacks and explode. In order to do this, you will need good communication and a good group.
Our group:
2 Tanks - | Paladin | Warrior |
2 Healers - | Shaman | Paladin |
6 DPS - | Hunter | Ele Shaman | Warrior | Rogue | SPriest | Boomkin |
Boss Information:
This is a very complicated boss fight which requires skill, timing and situational awareness from all members of your raid group.
To start, spread out all around Rotface as much as possible. He will be solo tanked by your MT in the center of the room where he stands due to
Ooze Flood
which will encompass a quarter of the room at any given time.
You need to spread this way to avoid
Slime Spray
which is a spray that targets a random raid member and must be avoided. Have the member that is targeted move away, and back again when the spray is over.
The OT will be running around the room and kiting the Oozes around. 1 Small Ooze will spawn after
Mutated Infection
dissipates from the raid member. (It can be dispelled) 2 Small Oozes will merge together when within range of one another and gain 2 buffs. One is an AoE damage
Radiating Ooze
and the other is
Unstable Ooze
which stacks up to 5. (6 Ooozes)
As the Oozes grow in size with each stack... they do significantly more damage and can not be tanked. They must be kited. Once the stack reaches 5 the Ooze casts
Unstable Ooze Explosion
and rains down Ooze all over the raid at the location of each member at the point of explosion.
That is pretty much it, however, the Oozes spawn small puddles that you just need to avoid.
Achievement Strategy:
Now for the Achievement!
In order to get this achievement, you must coordinate the spawning and merging of the Small Oozes.
To keep the large Ooze from reaching 5 stacks and exploding, you need allow the oozes that spawn to stay on the current target that obtained the debuff.
Once the oozes start spawning, it is a DPS race and you must burn Rotface down as fast as possible before you get overrun by oozes.
In the case that 2 oozes merge, make sure you have your off tank there to pick up the ooze and begin kiting.
You need to try and keep 1 ooze on each person, this is easily healable, however, if too many spawn... just wipe it and start over.
Tips:
Make sure the OT is taunting the Large Oozes ASAP to avoid raid damage.
The tank CAN run through the slime in the room. It will help kite the Ooze and your healers should be able to heal him through it.
Have good healers.

Would just like to share how we did this tonight in 10 man after about an hour of experimentation.
Group setup - 2 tanks, 2 healers, 6 dps
MT - Protection Paladin
OT - Blood DK
Feral Druid (me)
Arcane Mage
Hunter
Rogue
Enhancement shaman
Shadow priest
Holy paladin
Resto druid
Strategy
Begin the pull, keep the ranged spread out... melee all stack on one spot, Just let the oozes spawn as they do (we used a cleansing totem to auto dispel) and don't intentionally make an effort to merge them.. Inevitably two will merge to form a big ooze, at this point the dk OT will taunt the big ooze and begin kiting as usual.. When two more merge, they too will be picked up by OT and merged into a large ooze... the OT keeps one ooze until it reaches 4 stacks, then when the next 2 merge, I picked them up and began kiting.
The idea is to zerg the boss down before you get overrun... you must coordinate this and remember to never make a conscious effort to merge the oozes, just let it happen (although try your best to keep them un-merged for as long as possible) We used bloodlust at 50%, and at least 4 of the DPS were above 8k and in the end we had another three small oozes up, so a high DPS requirement is necessary to ensure you can zerg it this way without getting overrun.

This achievement is a pain in the ass if your guild is equipped in 10 man-only stuff. I don't want to say that it's impossible that way, but way harder than just brute-forcing it in 25man-gear. Currently on our realm, the only guilds having done this in 10man-mode are 25man-guilds on their free nights.
That being said, we tried it as well with 2 tanks / 2 healers / 6 DPS, DPS even being stacked for maximum damage. At the end, we had all DPS >7k, some at 8k, one at 9k, tried heroism at the beginning, at 50% ... but we didn't get the boss down.
There's a huge factor of luck involved, such as not having the same people getting slimes all the time, not having the healers get a slime early in the fight (vastly increasing the pressure on them), having the little slimes do their ooze puddles in places that don't totally screw you up and of course not having the big ooze merge in the middle of nowhere out of range for the OT and instagibbing healers.
I'm pretty sure it's doable even with 10man-only stuff. But you'll need time, and more important, luck. It definitely isn't a "fun" achievement and continues the "random" style of difficulty first encountered with "Full House" on Lady Deathwhisper (which isn't fun, either).
If you have difficulties with Rotface as we had, do Putricide + achievement, which is significantly easier.

Done this with 1 tank 1 healer 8 dps.
Just spread out and dps.
With some luck it should be ok.

Luck is a major factor on this achievement but with a good strategy and dps it can be diminished greatly. Our group consists of 25-man raiders forming a regular 10-man raid on off-nights, so our gear is rather good. But this strategy should work also with lower dps, though it may be a lot harder.
We used this setup for the achievement:
• Druid tank
• 2 Retribution Paladins
• Unholy Death Knight
• Enhancement Shaman
• Fury Warrior
• Demonology Warlock
• Shadow Priest
• Restoration druid
• Holy Priest
There are few important things to note in this setup. Our paladins were the main kiters on this fight and the DK was a backup but we never needed him to kite. Having two damage dealers that can kite the slimes is very important and having only one could prove being too hard. We also tried the fight with one healer but the added dps didn’t seem to be worth losing a healer. But this was only true for us. Other groups may have different results.
The fight started with the druid charging in with melee following behind. Healers and ranged dps spread out around the boss. The idea is to keep the fight going as long as possible before the slimes start to merge. We blew our heroism and all cooldowns almost as soon as the fight began, so the kiters could also deal maximum damage. On our kill we were lucky and every ranged had a slime before two were spawned to melee’s feet. When the 2nd infection hit melee, that melee ran to the outer edge of the room, along with the other retribution paladin (1st Kiter) and the first melee to get the infection. As soon as the two slimes merged the paladin began to kite it around the room.
Here’s the important part that’ll buy the raid loads of more time. Merging two large slimes only adds one stack to the bigger slime! How to utilize this then? Our 2nd Kiter kept dealing damage to the boss but as soon as two small slimes had to be merged again, they picked it up and kited it to the 1st kiter’s slime merging them but, importantly, adding only one stack to the large slime. This was repeated once more, so the 2st kiter’s slime had 3 stacks. To reach these 3 stacks 2+2+2=6 slimes were merged instead of the normal pattern of 2+1+1=4.
At this point 2nd kiter stepped in and started forming their own large slime and kited it around. The kiters should never intentionally allow the slime to get to 4 stacks. This allows the kiter to safely get one infection without having the slime to reach 5 stacks.
We were prepared for the DK to start also kiting and use the same strategy with the 2nd kiter as the 2nd kiter used with the first one. With our group this wasn’t needed because at the time 2nd kiter had a large slime following him permanently, the boss was almost dead and no further kiters were needed.

Got this first week it came out.
A lot of these strats are over complicating the encounter.
Small + Small = Big with 1 stack
Big + Big = Big with 1 stack
Knowing this you can prolong a big ooze with 4 stacks.
Bloodlust at start. Why? You will get the most dps time on boss at this point.
Merge two smalls into a big, have your tank taunt it over.
As your kiting your initial big, the additional Big oozes will slowly move into together.
Paladin simplifies all of this by dropping consecrate in kite path to avoid healers pulling them off.
Once paladin reaches 4 stacks have either a shaman or hunter kite the second big ooze.
Do not merge additional big ones, just move smalls to your DPS kiter.
Boss should be dead by 4 stack on second big ooze.

Here is how we did this achievement. We started this by being around the room at an assigned clock position. When we pulled, everyone moved into melee and dpses (hunters at min range). When you were infected, you moved out to the middle ring (when flooded, your right on the edge), get dispelled and just stand there with the little ooze hitting you.
One by one, people are moved out and tank their little ooze, healers healing through the dmg. If you get two, the OT picks the big one up and you go back into the center. The OT only picks up when you have a big one spawning. RNG can mess you up if your unlucky, but we did this in 1 shot this way.
Group makeup:
2 prot pallies
resto druid
holy/disc priest
ele/resto shammy (was healing for this fight)
spriest
arcane mage
lock
hunter
ret pally - only one that had issues since he got the ooze at first and was unable to dps.
Hero at beginning and burn for all your life. With three healers, ignore the slime spray (can be healed through). Biggest thing to remember is when the flood hits, you need to move in slightly to not take that dmg.

I am kinda theory-crafting a strat for this fight and I think that all of the above is good stuff. I had a question though, could your theoretically leave the mutated infection on the players and just heal through the mortal strike debuff to be able to have max uptime for your DPS? I think that it would offer the ability to leave all your damage dealers on Rface and get the kill super quickly. Ideally a pally and disc priest would make the ideal healers for shields and raid wall but lemme know what you think. From what I understand as well, after the debuff has lasted 12 sec the ooze spawns anyway, so you will eventually have to deal with the oozes but I think allowing the debuff to tick down would keep everyone still (except for the spray) for a zerg kill, and also keep the raid from having to deal with that many oozes.

We actually did this achievement with the above mentioned strat (zerging it down and ignoring the oozes) our set up was 1 prot paladin, 8 dps, and one resto druid healer.
Basically we lusted, nuked the boss, and cleansed all diseases letting the ooze spawn and beat on their targets.
We ended up killing the boss in under 2 minutes and got the achievement quite easily
