There's no direct quests that would lead you to it, you'd only see it if you did the Onlsaught Harbor Dailies, specifically.. Intelligence Gathering

Also, Jagged Shard. If you're a little too careful when doing the quests in the Fleshworks you won't kill any ghouls and thus not get this quest.

Also don't forget the quests that invovle the injured Argent guy way in the mountains ( A Tale of Valor ). It's not a hard questline at all but you may easily forget it. Once you turn the final quest in, you get at least few quests completed through the questline that count towards the achievement. That's how I got my Loremaster anyway :)

There's a quest in the mine in Ymirheim which you will most likely miss if you skip the dailies like I did.

Also don't forget the Battle of Valhalas hub. (7 quests)

I'm stranded at 138 now and have only 5man group quests. *sigh*

I am stuck at 137 / 140 and have done all the quests-tips listed above.

I have also completed a lot of groupquests, and just have 4 groupquests open,
which can't be solo'd as a mage .

Any help or suggestions ? I am quite desperate, as one of my guild mates has
completed this achievement and still has the groupquests open, so there seem to
be more solo quests out there, but I can't find them...

I have flown over the whole map, just to look out for an exclamation quest mark,
and I am pretty sure I haven't overlooked one.

Did you do Parting Gifts ?

It has several quest in the chain , completing Parting Gifts opens 3 more and 3more after that also. That gives you 7 quest there alone. Next quest guy Vereth the Cunning has 9 more quest.

I had 139/140 quests, scouring icecrown for that last one.

Seems i missed I'm Not Dead Yet! which is an escort quest with no ties anywhere. Hope this helps. =]

This is the hardest one for northrend. In all the other zones you can get away with only a few group quests, sometimes none at all. In this one you need to do 10 or more 5-mans to get to the count.

I'm waiting for my guildies to level to finish these. It's tough finding groups as a casual player when I only have an hour to play and can't spend all day finding a group.

You must do some of the 5-mans to finish this. There's not enough quests in the solo-3man series to complete this. A number of the 5-man quests either are long chains or open up new quests which you will need to get to 140.

Raise the Barricades opens up after you complete Against the Giants and Need More Info

Raise the Barricades then leads to two other non-group quests.

Although Need More Info and Against the Giants are group quests, they can be soloed fairly easily by any class. Need More Info especially, as the only reason it is listed as a group quest is that it leads to a quest that you do need a group for.

These are the quests that finally got me 140. Hope this helps. =D

Icecrown Group Quests

Note: While this list is specific to Alliance players, most (if not all) of these quests should apply to Horde players too.

There are many group quests once you near the end of Icecrown questing- Most of these group quests lead to even more group quests. Here is a breakdown of group quests you'll probably have left (after solo questing) and any follow-up quests. Good luck getting 140/140!

I'm at 134/140 and can't seem to get any more quests. I'm pretty sure i need to do the quests obtained on death's rise, but there is nothing available for me there or at the shadowforge. How do i unlock those quests? I've also completed all of the quests from the flying ship except for basic chemistry (seems to be bugged).......all the other quests on the ship are dailies. Not sure where i got lost. any help would be much appreciated.

Parting gifts was the quest chain that I'd been missing when I found myself in Icecrown short of the achievement and seemingly out of quests to do.

Ok, i figured out the questline i was missing. starts with "get the key" from Vaelen the Flayed chained up in a "cave" just to the west of the shadowforge. This questline should be the start to opening up the quests at death's rise. If there was any quest that was supposed to lead you there, i missed it somehow......hope this helps others that are finding themselves short of the achievement.

Ok I'm stuck at 136.

I did all of the 5-man quests without The Fate of Bloodbane which is the one quest in my log in Icecrown. If iI will do it I'm stuck on 137.

I have gotten this as horde without doing any "Rider of the x" quests or any Battle at valhala quests.

Check the wowhead icecrown zone page, and on the map make sure you check "horde questgivers" (shows neutral as well).

Don't forget Where Dragons Fell which starts another set of 6 quests.

However, in order to gain access to these, I believe that you have to complete the Exploiting an Opening questline, which also leads to the Do Your Worst questline.

Edit:
Once you have finished those, a new set of quests (6 I believe) opens up at The Shadow Vault from Keritose Bloodblade starting with Parting Gifts

Finishing those leads to Vereth the Cunning which is a questline of 3.
Finish those and it opens up 3 more: Generosity Abounds, Matchmaker and Stunning View.

Finish those and you get The Rider of Blood, The Rider of Frost, The Rider of the Unholy.

Finish those and you are rewarded with The Fate of Bloodbane.

Hope this helps get you your new title.

im realy stuck at 136/140 quests and all over the place when i look or go there is only daily that show up for me:(
is there any way to be some hidden quests or somthing like this cos ppl say me that there is over 150 quests in icecrown,and i have only daily avaible

As far as I can tell, at the time of writing there is 143 quests available in this area. This is speaking from having gotten the achievement and then completing 3 after having done so.

This might sound obvious, but before you set foot in Icecrown make sure you pick up this quest https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=13418 (Alliance) or https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=13419 (Horde) from Krasus' Landing in Dalaran.

Make that quest the first one you do - it may only be a simple go from A to B but it counts towards the Achievement and *may* not (unconfirmed) be available once you start doing other quests in Icecrown.

btw you need to have Cold Weather Flying for this quest to open up.

does anyone know if u have to do the pvp q's in order to get the achievment, i'm stuck on 137/140, have been back to every q giver for the alliance but still no luck

I'm sorry, thumb me down if you must, but having such an issue to complete 140 quests seems like the design team may have failed the majority of it's players. Forcing people to find groups to complete quests feels poor to me. The idea that "waiting" to get a group together is a component of "fun" completely misses on me. It felt more like I was being punished for choosing to complete the zone.

If you get stucked about 87/140 go Crusader's Pinnacle and in Castle right from the entrance over the bed there is a quest leading to the battleship over the icecrown.

Since the last time I posted here, I raised two alts to 80. With alts, I just forget about the group quests unless I can solo them. I found that on both alts, I was able to get 119/140 with solo quests. That means, you need to do 21 group quests to finish the achievement. Most of these are 5-man quests when I did them on my main. To be clear, that's 119 solo quests that do not require any grouping at all. I know there are more solo quests but require group quests to unlock them. There's 119 quests you can do just solo, no group quest unlocking needed.

Edit: Found 6 more solo quests I missed.

This achievement is possible without completing the Battle at Valhalas quests. I'm sitting with a 140/140 achievement looking at the quest giver telling me about the six undeads to kill.

Its also worth adding that you can get the linked quest chain from a mob drop as well, as I got to 136/140 doing every quest and took a day to realise what I had missed - https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=42772 its another mob drop that ive linked above.

The one I easily missed was https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=13059 which ended up being the last one i needed for my 140. It's in the underhalls, and easy to miss as its off the side in a room you dont need to go for the quests in there.

i recently got loremaster of wrath of the lich king and icecrown was one of the hardest when i was doing it i had to end up doing the 5man group quests gauntlet to get the achievement, but was doing the Argent tournament today and had to kill some mobs near the Sindragosa's fall and there is a lil guy smack in the middle there which opens up a chain of about 3 quests then you hand in and you get another 2 quests all up 5 quests complete i wish i found this guy earlier and im pretty sure these 5 quests count for Icecrown: The Final Goal

Argent Tournament quests do not count towards this achievement despite being in Icecrown. They are under a separate "Tournament" category in the quest log.

Got the achievement this week during Battle at Valhalas chain. Honestly, didn't have to "work" for it. I just went from quest to quest, enjoying the Icecrown lore. As for getting groups together for the 3 & 5-mans... Most/all the 3-mans are soloable. As for the 5-mans, I just turned on the "looking for a group" and tagged my needed quests. About 2-3X per week I was able to group with others in a similar situation. Just work the questlines and be open to grouping for the 5-mans as you go.

This achievement wasn't terribly bad. I did it without doing the Battle of Valhalas ring or The Ironwall Rampart and its followup quests. That leaves about 8 free quests, so if you are at 139/140 then make sure to pick up one of those in the chain. Valhalas is started in Jötunheim and the quest chain is based off of the Alliance airship (I'm assuming the Horde has their counterpart quest on their own airship as well).

I am not entirely sure whether or not this is true, but when I did the Black Knight quests (the ones that start at the Argent Tournament with https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=13634) I think they counted towards the achievement
Like I said: I'm not certain about this, so don't be surprised if I'm wrong
On a lighter note it also counts towards an achievement, is fun and so even if it doesn't count towards this particular achievement, the chain is well worth doing.

Lol, I'm not really sure what to say here- but I am a level 80 warlock, and all these quests (save Basic Chemistry) I have solo'd no sweat lol. So if you are a DK, plate class, a hunter, or think you have what it takes, I'd say ignore the "Group" status. The elites themselves aren't really all that hard. Then again, I am in full t8.5, but I really don't think that would make a difference when it comes to the fact that I wear cloth.

Strangely it wasn't mentioned before, but there's obvious hidden meaning in the name of achievement.
Blizzard has been stressing that the WotLK expansion would be extended and built in a way that the encounter with Arthas becomes the final encounter in the expansion - to counter the BT/Illidan encounter in the Burning Crusade, that was introduced before Sunwell, which didn't make the developers happy.

Slaying the Lich King will be the final challenge of the WotLK expansion. Arhtas Menethil resides in the Icecrown Citadel.

Icecrown is your final goal in this expansion.

i wanted to know when i started this achievement if it was possible to completely solo, and i couldn't find an answer, so in case anyone else is wondering:

YES IT IS =D

As an enhancement shaman in ulduar gear i was able to solo all 140 quests, and there were more left over, two of the 5 mans i simply couldn't do alone without a healer, so i skipped those, and still had many quests left over, i easily made the 140.

I know this may not be useful for some classes, or undergeared people, but it might help someone. :)

I really need some help. I have cross-referenced my Carbonite History with Wowhead's list of quests and i fear i have phased through too much to complete this. First of all, is this even possible? I have searched all quest givers mentioned in green font on this page but have yet to find a lead. i spoke to a GM and of course (s)he told me that they couldn't give me any specific info as to whether or not i could, in fact, complete the Achievement. IF anyone has any info, maybe Carbonite is messing up or the NPC's "!" marks are hard to find. It would suck to get to 3 quests before finishing only to find i can't complete this :(

EDIT: Blizzard has since fixed the glitch that had prevented me from finishing this. Once upon a time the Battle Before the Citadel quest made a small hole in the bottom part of the tower despawn if you had done through all the Icecrown quests, but skipped the one given by Arthas' ghost there. It was only after a major patch that they fixed it, not sure now what patch though as i have slept since then.

An easily missed quest is Avenge Me! given from a Dying Berserker (Horde). Just find one of the wounded (not dead, just low on health) soldiers laying face down in The Broken Front. Talk to him and ask him how you can help, he'll follow with a quest asking you kill 5 wounded Alliance soldiers laying throughout the field.

Well im the very lost now :(

Im 138/140 and have now used forums - Gamemasters - and alot of time flying around tracking quest..

But i have now given up.. I dont know what to do any more.. I have farmet those places where quest items is lootable and i have no clues about where to go anymore :(

Just here confirming that none of the Argent Tournament dailies, or any Argent Tournament quests for that matter count towards this achievement. The ones that count are recorded as 'Icecrown' in your quest log.

I figured I'd mention this because nobody else mentioned this npc:

I was stuck at 139/140 quests and looked almost everywhere (bone witch, shadow vault, death's stand, crusader's pinnacle, skybreaker, ymirheim, and any quest starting from a dropped item) with no luck. Turns out I had one quest remaining from Kibli Killohertz. You can't see the NPCs there until a second after you land on the platform, so you won't see the quest on your radar if you just fly by.

Ok i know ive done the pre quests for the shadow vault and the deaths rise and i know ive never done the daily for the Intel but im still stuck at 135/140 :(

For all those people, who have problems with this (or any other quest) achievement, I strongly recommend using wowhead client to upload your characters quests to www.wowhead.com/wotlk for easy tracking :) Then You'll have a nice list of what quests You've done and which ones are still left, like https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/profile=eu.alonsus.evenuel#quests

Before this wonderful thing was implemented into wowhead I did tracking the old way - I've written down names of all the quests I complete. Somehow I have one Icecrown quest too much in my achievement (I had 31 on the paper and achievement said 32). I haven't done Battered Hilt chain and I think Argent Tournament quests never count towards Icecrown achievement. So does anyone noticed this too? What other quests, apart from normal quests given in Icecrown quest hubs, count for "Icecrown: FInal Goal"? I'd really like to find out...

okay, so i'm stuck at 137/140 when it came to the icecrown quests. after all kinds of research, flying around icecrown, and going to EVERY npc out there, i found someones post about this >恐怖博士的著作《制造一个更好的血肉巨人》<

I went and killed >学徒奥斯特基格< this guy, and picked up the item. (btw, he's in the cave at 32,32 in icecrown. go straight in, go down both flights of stairs, and he's underneath the staircase)

i'm still working on the quests as I type this up, so i'll update when I get the achievement, but i thought i'd go ahead and put this idea into some other peoples head(:

Edit: Update! Got the achievement by opening up the quest line i got from the item linked above(: good luck to everyone else!

so i am finding this annoying i am trying to get this achievement and am stuck at 125/140. i did do the uploading to wowhead thing which gave me a list of 35 quests that i am missing 11 of which are the battered hilt ones. when i started back tracking those quests i have hit the questgivers but they have no quests available for me. one of the things i am wondering if the problem may lie is that a few months back when i logged in all of my achievement trackings were reset to zero. i contacted blizzard about this they had me reset ui. now i am not sure if it fixed it properly or not anybody have any ideas on what to do?

Don't forget to go to Blackwatch at 35.44,66.33 - They are up in a mountain overlooking the Fleshworks and have 2 starter quests (Destroying the Altars, Death's Gaze) that have follow-ups as well, and a drop that will start a few more. I was stuck untill I found these guys.

hey so im stuck with no quests in icecrown and im at 135/140. ive done both the quests u can pick up through the chest and at the fleshwerks. i have no idea what else to do and have been looking for days so if someone could help me that would be great.
