I just got this achievement last night. Used 5 healers and 3 tanks and got 3 seconds away from missing it. It was amazing. :)

We got this achievement last night, 6 healers 3 tanks setup. Could have done it with one less tank I think or one less healer, but shouldn't be needed if you are 25 man geared. Good tip as posted above is to have a prot paladin main tanking this boss, as prot I did 3k dps, and then probably a high hp feral as offtank to soak the hits.

Make sure everyone knows to maximise dps, speed pots a split second before the pull, and again at the heroism/bloodlust at about 40%. At present HaT rogues help a bit with DPS requirements, putting out 8-9k dps, but it is doable without stacking rogues.

Heroic Patch has 13,038,575 HP.

13,038,575 HP / 180 seconds = 72,436.52777 ("repeating, of course") DPS required to down Patch in exactly three minutes.

If you want to play it safe and give your raid group a two-second buffer, ~73,250 DPS will be enough to down Patch in 2min58sec and earn you that juicy achievement. GL!

Just did that in pug.Raid had 73,5k dps.
