If you feel lost over the long list of requirements, I'd like to point out to you that most of them aren't too hard to complete and they are fun to do.

I've also wrote an addon to help you get an overview of the achievements by sorting them by instance.

That way when you go and do a particular heroic you'll know what achievements to look for right away.

They vary in difficulty. But since there are so many of them, your gear and knowledge of the encounters will improve along the way, making the more difficult ones possible. :)

However, I'll make one thing clear. Once Gotta Go is nerfed (I've heard it's getting nerfed to 4 mins which will be laughable, allowing all 3 submerges, but even 3 mins makes the fight a tonne easier) there will be no majorly difficult achievements to complete, provided you're prepared to take the right group make up and respec if necessary.

Completed mine today, and I must say that completing all these have been one of the most fun things I have done in WoW this far. Running those (way too easy) WotlK-heroics actually gets interesting with goals like this, and I am really glad that many of them actually requires some thinking outside the box.

The majority of them was done with the same group-setup (BM hunter, Frostfire mage, Prot warrior, Holy paladin and a random at last spot). We've been trough alot of respecs, consumables and repairs to be able to complete some of them, we've died a lot, but all this is mainly because we have gone with the "Let's just try and see what happens" attitude, instead of reading up on tactics all the time.

Many of them you will get without even knowing there was an achievement for it (Oh Novos!, Defenceless, Brann Spankin' New to name a few) and some of them can be really hard and requires either a good setup, insane dps or just pure luck. (Gotta Go!, Volazj's Quick Demise).
Some of them can be hard to complete if you are not going for an achievementrun because noone wants to do them (Zombiefest, everyone wants a shot at the drake right? or any of the Occulus Void ones because everyone wanna do it easymode). This was never a problem to me, but if you don't have a group of friends or guildies these might be harder to complete.

I guess most of the harder ones is going to be nerfed by casual-friendly Blizzard to make them doable in questing greens, but I am happy that I have completed them all while still beeing challenging, and getting there has been one heck of a fun ride.

Achievements by my personal order of difficulty are below. Note that this is as of 3.0.8; they nerfed most of the easy/cheap/exploit ways to do the tougher ones.

Trivial:

Experienced Drake Rider - 3 runs of Oculus; pugs tend to suck at the instance so don't pug this if you have trouble

Easy:

Intense Cold - dispeller prioritizes whoever needs achievement; won't get everyone in one run
Dehydration - use the buttons to kill spawns; luck with which boss spawns
A Void Dance - good healer needed
Gotta Go! - used to be the hardest; nerfed like mad in 3.0.8 with twice as much time
The Party's Over - must have 4 in party from pull to death to get this; drop lowest DPSer if needed
Volunteer Work - can't kite since 3.0.8; tank use CD's (DK rocks), beware enraged whirlwind of 1-shotting melee; disarm effects work during enrage
King's Bane - resettable (run into previous room); high dps groups don't get Bane at all
Split Personality - Vent helpful
Timely Death - decent group makes it trivial; ~50% more HP than maiden in 100% more time
Zombiefest! - find group that doesn't want timed event; do normally except kite 2nd boss to inn; wait at inn till zombies have respawned; kill 2nd and 3rd bosses; tank gathers all zombies in first area alone, rest of group waits at passage; kill 100 when tank is done gathering. Remarkably easy other than giving up a bronze drake
The Incredible Hulk - two tries per reset; DPS the Hulk to under 9k HP (leave no dots) and kite it under the sword; killing 3 adds as usual is fine
Snakes. Why'd It Have To Be Snakes? - if you're a tank, don't tank the snakes; may wipe group but kill boss

Medium:

Good Grief - (easy) DPS check; stand in void zones and have healer outheal them if needed
Hadronox Denied - reset with FD or Crashin' Thrashin' Racer pull; run down tunnel while they reset, burn down boss before adds appear; if adds do appear, kite boss so the adds get out of the poison
Better Off Dred - bring plate melee DPS
Amber Void - 2 red/3 green
Brann Spankin' New - retadins rock; protadin tanks may get this on accident
Lodi Dodi We Loves the Skadi - do event once--gather 5 spears, reset (run in to previous boss's room); kill this time
My Girl Loves to Skadi All the Time - see above
The Culling of Time - group competency benchmark; if you can't get this the hard/crazy hard ones will be impossible

Less-rabi - 10 seconds (51%-100%) then 5 seconds (0%-50%) between casts; bring very high DPS to kill in 3-4 casts; save burst for the end (40% and below); resettable by kiting him all the way to the back entrance and running out; do a huge number of attempts and hope it goes well; can't cheese it by keeping him transformed since 3.0.8
Share The Love - 2 tanks mandatory, 2 healers helpful; luck based; standing in front of boss seems to increase chance of getting impaled; some people report a person may get impaled, die, get rezzed (or use SS), and get impaled again to count as two impales; one report of Rock Ele getting impaled counting as an extra impale
Make It Count - high dps required, nobody can be new to the instance; clear almost none of the dragons, perhaps 3 around each platform (including 2nd boss's); "safe" setup is 2 green/1 amber/2 red; add more ambers for higher DPS; can use 5 Ambers if your group can consistently down him with 5 ambers
Respect Your Elders - not kitable in 3.0.8; use very high DPS, with a healadin OTing from heal aggro on the opposite side of the room from the tank (who uses CD's alone); Guardians come from the same places each time, the first few all on one side of the room; can also use an OT and an off healer who can drop aggro (i.e. a priest) instead of stacked DPS
Watch Him Die - ledge no longer works in 3.0.8; have a pally bubble, pull all adds, and stand at orange torch; have OT get aggro on adds, or have pally stun them and start running; if kiter can't handle Skirmishers, have group CC them (pally fear/shackle); after kite is underway *burn* him down with the standard tank and healer setup. If tanking all, Narjil's disorient can be interrupted with stuns, broken out of with PvP trinkets, but not avoided with Free Action Potions

I got this on Feb 4th, there are ones that are extremely hard and luck-bound, like Less-Rabi,Make it Count, but mostly it just requires group participation and just getting the right comp and people willing to help you do it.

I think they all seems doable and enough hard to do, but then we have this morons who think they can do this just exactly when they dinged 80 and you end up getting in group with ehm or you end up getting in group with slackers, always happens to me, and that what is making this achievements difficult... WotLK is actually as hard as pre-TBC at some points just that people has gotten lazier and morons who think everything shall take one hour to complete grows in numbers... back then it was more discipline and people took everything more serious.

This achievement has been the most fun that I have had in Wrath.
By doing it, not only did I get a good challenge to the normally mundane heroics, but I also met a fantastic group of players also after the achievement. I can confirm that you can pug any of these achievements. I pugged all of them aside from Make it Count. It was a great experience to study the achievements before-hand and find people who were also after them. This was definitally worth the time to do it and if you are reading this now, give it a try, most of the achievements arent as hard as you might immediatly think.

I personally think there should be a title as well as a drake, because this is such an achievement to brag about but you can't fly the drake in Dalaran, Kalimdor, instances, or the Eastern Kingdoms.

Got a group to work on all of them together, just finished last night and got a sweet new ride. Of them all, the one that took the most attempts to get was Less-Rabi. It seems getting those interrupts off in time was difficult. Most of them are pretty fun to do, and they all have little tricks to doing them, which can be found on the page for each individual achievement required. Have fun and good luck getting your drake!

Completed this a while ago, now riding my red proto with pride. Here are the achievement that were definately no walk in the park for me (holy priest):

- Make It Count: goin' for that "perfect" run always tends to be more harder (timed Strat is EZ mode compared to this one)
- Ruby Void: 5 Amber drakes seems the only doable way, get naked & have a lot of tries
- Watch Him Die: after weeks of trying, I tried with another healer (shammy), down on first attempt
- Less-Rabi: for me this was EZ mode, for the interrupters it's nasty, especially the guy that has to do the 4th interrupt
- Share The Love: random impale, if anyone dies during the encounter (even if he uses SS or gets a combat ress & gets impaled again), you will NOT get the achievement (need offtank to have the MT get impaled)
- Volazj's Quick Demise: as holy priest quite nasty to kill my copies, specced shadow for this fight but my lack of shadow experience made it hard, did this ach with 4 seconds left
- Respect Your Elders: have an OT get the guardians, while MT tanks boss out of the guardian's aura range, I healed this by switching to OT & MT (very risky), having an OT that can heal himself would make this a lot easier

Logically all of the harder achievements require well geared & skilled people (goes for tank, healer & DPS) that know how to avoid slacking mode.
None of the achievement were completed by using exploits, just using common sense, focus & having no fear to repair.
Hardest part is finding the right people (right people = acceptable geared people that also are crazy obsessed by getting that red proto).

My group and I finished the achievement last night. I’ve not posted on wowhead before but thought I would take the time to offer our experiences and write a little guide.

- We had a group of six, which has meant some of us having to complete the achievements twice for us all to get it done.

- I can’t imagine doing some of these without Vent so if you have it, use it.

- Wowhead was our most valuable resource. Check out the individual achievement before you attempt it, so much useful information on here.

- The important thing is that you find a group of people who really want to get this done. It’s not difficult but it will take time and some effort from those in your group. If you fail an achievement then in most cases you can wipe it and go again. Finding 4 other people willing to do this is probably your biggest hurdle.

- Our group of six were: Prot Warrior, Protadin, Retradin, Shadow Priest, Resto Druid and an Elemental Shaman. I’m the shammy so bear in mind this is from my point of view. We all at some point during these achievements respec'd depending on what we needed. So willingness for your group members to do this will help greatly.

Ok the Achievements

On the Rocks - Easy with a good healer, no special tactics used, Just heal through the extra damage. If your healer is tombed then have someone else capable of healing as backup.

Split Personality - One of the annoying achievements in that you cant be certain you’ve done it until she’s dead. Having a good tank keep them all together is helpful. Get them all to about 20%. Wait for the frost image to finish casting blizzard then we single targeted them all down, frost, arcane then fire. AoE will work fine also.

Chaos Theory - During his first phase just DPS him down. Start with the tank at the top of the first ramp and everyone else at range (apart from melee of course) When he becomes immune everyone moves back 20 or so yrds and melee move out. Remain at least 15 yrds away from the tank at all times and kill adds during this phase. Rinse and repeat.

Intense Cold - Move between every cast, simple for melee. If you have a Priest its possible to bunch up at the dragon’s side and use mass dispel when you’re shackled. If not you may have to run this multiple times and focus a different person for dispels depending on how many you have. Easy but may take a few runs.

Watch Him Die - Fairly good DPS required and seem to be a few different tactics. We tried brute force by tanking everything and Bloodlust burning the boss down but even with two healers a combination of webs and disorientates was too much for us. We had a pally bubble pull all the adds whilst the whole group waited to the far right, wait until the adds are in the tunnel. Going to soon meant we had problems with the Skirmishers running back to us. Earthbind works so we plonked one of those in the tunnel before pulling, he ran them all the way to the door and died inside. Giving us plenty of time to get the boss down. Not too difficult with a good kiter and reasonable DPS.

Hadronox Denied - Very easy with a little cheeky trick. Have someone run into the mobs and die while the group stays out of combat. The mobs despawn, quickly res them and run all the way down the tunnel to the boss. From ther its just tank and spank.

Gotta Go - Easy now that you have 4 mins. Nothing special to say really, just fight the boss as usual. We finished it in about 3 mins.

The Party’s Over - Again very easy, just before pulling kick a DPS out of your group and they can continue to help until they are ported out. Just run the instance twice and kick someone different both times.

Respect Your Elders - This may be troublesome depending on who you have available and where the Guardians spawn. Take the left hand route to the boss and clear everything down to the bottom of the stairs including the little guist pack. We had a holy pally stay in the bosses room, the rest of us waited at the bottom of the stairs we had just cleared to. Have the tank pull him all the way down to you and tank him right against the edge at the bottom of the stairs. Be careful not to fall off as someone did in our group once hehe. When the guardians spawn have whoever you left there grab them and pull them all the way to the back wall. The boss will become immune for a while until your OT has pulled them all the way back. A little luck is involved with the guardian spawn points but the tactic was pretty solid for us.

Volunteer Work - Easy one, if the tank is geared. Just leave the adds alone. Spam heal the tank, disarm her if you can and melee watch out when she comes back down. Her attack can one shot you so best to wait until she has used it.

Volazj's Quick Demise - If you have good DPS this is a lot easier than it sounds. Insanity is cast at 66% and 33% roughly. You can continue DPS during his first insanity cast. Insanity is where you lose time so getting him to 33% by the time his first insanity cast has finished saves a lot of time. You will get two copies of everyone but its still quicker. The first time we did this we had two insanity’s and got him in 1.55 sec with everyone up. The 2nd time we had both insanity’s at the same time, two people died because they couldn’t kill all of the adds but we killed him in 1.05 secs. Tips: Have your healer spec to something else, having adds incapable of healing helped a lot.

Consumption Junction - Easy but requires a bit of co-ordination. Have a DPS at the top of the stairs to deal with adds, The tank pulled him into the gap between the stairs and the pillar and positioned him so that the boss was further in the gap than he was. Everyone else hides behind the pillar out of LoS. Watch for the consumption buff, pop out for 10 seconds DPS and hide again, repeat he should only gain one consumption stack each time from the tank. DPS isn’t an issue if you make sure your not consumed. We got him down with 9 consumptions and 4 manned it.

Better of Dread - As long as your tank isn’t squishy then this is really easy. If he isnt very well geared you will have to watch out for big spike damage. Just pull three of the raptors and then the boss. Kill the raptors, pull the next three, kill them and then finish the boss off. We fought him inside his pen, used a pally tank and had tremor and fear ward up. You only get one shot at this per reset, the raptors don’t respawn.

Oh Novos - One of the simplest achievements. Have a dps, even two if you are struggling at the top of the stairs whacking the adds before they reach the bottom. Healer can stand at the bottom of the stairs and cover everybody.

Defenceless - Never have I been in a group where the integrity has fallen below 100%. Just don’t wipe and you have it.

Lockdown - Just run VH until you have had all of the bosses.

Dehydration - Have a member of your party in position to use a crystal every time the adds spawn, three crystals later kill him and get this achievement.

A Void Dance - Avoid anything AoE based and just burn the boss down. Heavy on healing towards the end so the quicker you kill him the better but we used no special gimmicks.

Snakes, why'd it have to be Snakes - Afraid I cant be much help on this one. Both times we did this we just burnt him down, ignored the adds and nobody was wrapped. If people are wrapped then you can wipe and repeat.

Less-Rabi - This was a little frustrating as its a bit luck based. After two hours on this one night I respeced to Reverberation and had him down in 10 mins both times. If you have Shaman get him to catch the first Transform that he attempts to do below 50% and then spam ES whilst everyone else nukes him. You still need a little bit of luck with knockdowns and catching the interrupts but it was much easier for us. If you haven’t a Shaman then you will just have to try and interrupt each one on a rotation. Its cast every 5 seconds after 50% and we found that you cant really wait until you see it, you have to kind of pre-empt the transforms below about 30%. Tricky and frustrating but doable.

What the Ekk - Just stand in front of the murlock looking boss during his spit and kill Gal'darah with the debuff without dying.

Share the Love - Easy if you have two classes capable of tanking. Have the OT grab him along with the MT and the healer. The DPS sit out of the fight by the wall. Wait until the MT has been impaled and then he takes over and the two DPS join the fight. Keep your distance during troll phase and hug him during Rhino. DPS him to 20%ish and then wait until everyone has been impaled. If DPS have already been impaled then stand in his whirlwind and die, it increases the chance of the others being impaled and you will still get the achievement.

Good Grief - When she begins casting her stun. Jump into the void zone, it will break the stun and allow you to continue DPS. Just make sure you jump out of it quickly once the stun breaks.

Brann Spankin New - You may get this by accident. Tank everything at the stairs, a good AoE tank is helpful for this. Spread out a bit and be mindful of the purple orbs and lasers. If its tanked well then nothing will even get close to Brann.

Abuse the Ooze - Have a DPS watch one side each and the other one DPS the boss down a little. Wait until little blobs of slime start spawning, kill all of them on one side and let two through at a time the other side. They will dance around each other and turn into an Iron Sludge. Repeat this 5 times, then finish the boss off. Tank be sure to step out of his AoE each time he casts it.

Lightning Shock - Just pull him when he is charged, he isn’t much harder than when not charged. Healing is pretty comfortable.

Shatter Resistant - Again I cant be very useful for this one. Check the individual achievement if you need additional help. We ignored the adds, nuked the boss and got the achievement.

Timely Death - Just fight Loken as normal and with good DPS he isn’t a problem. If your DPS is lacking but your tank can take the damage have your tank eat the AoE. It saves a little time having to reposition yourself if he is kept still. One of the easier timed boss kills.

The Culling of Time - I suggest looking on here at the achievement itself for more detailed information on how to save time.

Zombiefest - This is fun and easy, the tricky part is the setup but its still pretty easy. Kill the first boss as normal. When the 2nd boss spawns, tag him and leg it all the way to the inn. Tank him just inside the door with the rest of the group further inside the inn. Kill the ghouls as they spawn and keep the boss alive for about 5 mins. This will ensure all of the skeletons outside respawn. Finish the boss off and wait for Arthus. Carry on as normal, don’t leave the inn and kill the third boss. Get Arthus to open the bookcase and have your group wait downstairs just before the gauntlet to the final boss. Be careful your tank has nothing with will reflect damage to the skeletons like thorns. If he is a warrior get him to remove his shield. Have him run out of the inn and gather all of the skellys in the first area. They will hit you at first but run very slowly so you soon lose them. Run back to the inn and wait with the group. Its important your group do nothing. Don’t heal the tank, let him bandage/pot and wait for the skeletons. When you see them coming down the stairs towards you run out and gather the ones at the beginning of the gauntlet. Run them to the other 80 or so which should be coming out of the inns back door and AoE them all down. We three manned this so its not gear dependant, just take the time to set it up correctly.

The Incredible Hulk - Just before she finished her speech grab the abomination from the bottom of the ramp and tank it along with the boss under where the sword drops. DPS the abomination down to 10ish% If your unlucky and the tank is first to be held then you may have to go again or have an OT grab them. Let the sword drop and it will kill the abomination.

Lodi Dodi we loves to Skadi & My Girl loves to Skadi all the time - Do both at the same time, start the event and kill adds until all three dps have two harpoons. Run out and reset. Run straight back in again and to the end. Assign the DPS a cannon each and start the event, AoE as many adds down as you can before he comes into range, fire your harpoons and the tank must be ready to pick him up. Everyone else keep well away when he lands, finish off any lose adds, ignore the ones the tank has and burn the boss down. Pretty easy with the right preparation.

King's Bane - You may get lucky and he wont cast Bane at all. If he does announce it on vent and everyone stop hitting him, including the tank. As far as we could see DoTs are fine so don’t worry about those. Just don’t apply new ones until he is finished with Bane.

Experienced Drake Rider - Just run Oculus until all of you have used each type of drake.

Ruby Void and Emerald Void - This was by far the most difficult achievement for our group but with practice and a bit of luck you will get there. We decided to use 5 Amber drakes and the tactic outlined in the comments for "Ruby Void" take a look. Just stick with it, although we tried other ways of doing it this seemed the most viable. The problem is without Ruby's you have no real ability to deal with the whelps and that what will kill you. After two and a half hours we were getting to 5% on every attempt an got him soon after that. Just stick with it and practice, the 2nd time we did this it only took us a handful of attempts.

Amber Void - We used two Emerald and three Ruby. The whelps are not a problem and just heal through the enrages ensuring your ruby’s keep evasion up.

Make it Count - This gets a lot of hype as being difficult but its not too taxing. Run the other Oculus achievements and practice quick runs and routes before doing this. Know what drakes your each using prior to the run. We used two Ruby, two Amber and one Emerald. General tips: Stick together when on your drakes, if you think you might die make sure you are over a platform just in case. When flying from and to construct platforms fly into the middle and out again to avoid blue drakes. We finished with 17 mins 7 sec on our first real attempt. Just pre plan and practice before hand.

Sorry if this amount of text puts you off but if you cant be bothered to read up on these achievements then I doubt you will be very successful. We found the information on wowhead very helpful.

Anyway I hope this is of some help to people, completing this was on of the most enjoyable things I’ve done in wow and you will make some great mates whilst doing it.

Some difficult ones can be trivialized by having the right group members, so you can attempt those in PuGs if needed:

Intense cold: bring a priest, a secondary healer (ele shaman, boomkin, ret pally ), all grouped close to the tank but out of the dragon breath, JUMP JUMP, priest spams mass dispell on the whole group, no way you can fail.

Split personnality: two healers let you all the time you need to bring them all down to 10-15% and AoE them, without stress of unlucky combo of polymorphs from the purple.

Share the love: two tanks, two heals. One of the tanks should be a dk, who stays 2nd in aggro by dpsing with tank gear in frost presence. Just wait, no way you can wipe with two heals.

It should be noted that due to a recent patch, the Occ achieves should no longer be done naked (if u've been doin it that way) as the drakes now scale with item lvl (like Uld mounts). Same can be said for Maly drakes

Excellent guide, just wanted to mention a couple of things:

- Share the Love does not require everyone in the group to be impaled exactly once. It requires everyone in the group to be impaled at least once. As long as you have an off tank and an off healer (elemental shamans, shadow priests, and boomkins work fine as long as their gear doesn't completely suck), it is not that difficult. Healer mana may become an issue if your luck is bad.

- The easiest way to get the Void achievements is to have a geared healer healing from the platform. Make sure, if you are going for Ruby Void, that the bronze drakes use Time Stop on the whelps -- ideally to prevent them from spawning, but otherwise to kill them when they spawn. The other two Voids are trivial.

- Less-Rabi is a whole lot easier with a shaman who has 5/5 Reverberation, reducing the CD on his interrupts to 5 seconds (which is exactly the interval between Transformation casts when Moorabi is under 50% health). It's still not easy, though, and in my opinion is probably the hardest of all of them.

- Watch Him Die is almost trivial if you have a boomkin, a geared tank, and geared DPS. Have the boomkin put Thorns on everyone to kill off the little spiders, then pull the entire room with Starfall (make sure he's far enough to the right to pick up the third boss pack), then cat form Dash back to the zone entrance as the tank taunts the boss off and the DPS go to town. No healer is needed here; you will wipe, of course, but the boss will die first. You actually have plenty of time to kill him.

- Don't try the "exotic" approaches to Volazj's Quick Demise (i.e. the crazy "warlock summon on group members between Insanity phases" stuff). None of them work very well. Just get a high-DPS group and have the healer respec before the fight but keep his healing gear on -- the images' abilities are based on the players' current specs. No healer spec means no heals, which makes the fight a lot quicker.

im currently 1 achievement away from the Glory of the Hero achievement and only need Zombiefest!.
these achievements are well worth the Red Proto-Drake and achievement points.

if you put your mind to these achievements you can do them. these are probably among the most fun achievements to do as you acquire more knowledge about both the heroics and your class and you make many new buddies along the way. i should be able to get it this week.

Note for Occ Achievements: even at full red u still gain the HP bonus from the scaling from ur ilvl and that should get ur people in the group to buff ur drake, but especially with fortitude as it increases hp by like 15k, and kings by about 3k usually and never do these Occ achievements naked as it could most likely cost the group the achievement.

it is to be noted that u can no longer kite for the achievement Chaos Theory as it was fixed in 3.2 as the boss will now only go to the 2nd platform and no further
remember to keep killing adds and to have a very good healer and tank for this fight as it can get very nasty as my group almost wiped and had 2 people remaining as a result of the adds killing us and for Ruby/Emerald Void, u dont need to do them both at once, as i did Ruby and Emerald Void seperate and found it alot easier, with strats such as 4 amber/1 emerald for ruby void and 4 amber/1 red for Emerald void and last of them is Amber void which can be done with 3 emerald/2 ruby.

remember to be keen on the achievements as a majority of them are time consuming and wiping alot and to remember to read up on the achievements well before you even attempt them to gain great knowledge of the achievements and to make sure you only get people who are well geared and skilled and are able to do these achievements

Firstly, it can be an achievement in itself just getting a group to try some of these since a lot of people just aren't interested in wipes and repairs.

My advice, and what always worked for me, was take time to read each strategy carefully here on Wowhead before you even begin to form a group, so that you become very familiar with what tactics you can currently use to achieve them and therefore what make up of group you should be looking to form.

Some (such as Watch Him Die, Respect Your Elders and Less Rabi) take a special make up of group to complete,in that it requires certain classes specced with certain abilities in order to stand any chance of doing them.

And other's, such as Chaos Theory require for example a tank with well over 30k and a healer with 20k mana due to the length of the fight

Also, be prepared to be patient, as some, particularly such as Make It Count require a lot of experience in a particular instance. And Amber Void/Emerald Void will require quite a few attempts to get it right.

Currently, (at least imo) the ones I have mentioned so far are the hardest to do.

So what worked for me (rogue) ?

Watch Him Die - Bring a Tank, a Pala Healer, a Shaman dps, a healer, and rogue. Have everyone else stand at the right hand side of the wall. Pala Healer stand in entrance way and rogue in middle. Rogue activates Sprint and Evade then uses Tricks of the Trade on Pala, uses throw to pull 1st group and 2nd group then dashes to 3rd group and Uses Fan of Knives then Vanish. Pala swallows a speed potion as soon as the 1st group starts moving towards him, then runs back to the instance entrance. Everyone else then burns down on boss asap while pala tries his best to stay alive long enough for the restof group to finish the job before the adds come back. You will therefore need all your dps to be v high before even thinking of going for this ach and bringing a shaman for heroism is V advised.

Respect Your Elders - Bring the same set up as above. Have Pala as your OT to stay in bosses room. MT pulls boss and kites to the back of the right hand side of the stairs in the previous room. OT tries best to stay alive while everyone else burns on boss. Again, you will need all your dps to be v high before thinking of trying it.

Less-Rabi - Dont bring a healer. Just a tank and 4 dps. Pref with a shaman for heroism and a rogue who is specced 2/2 for deadly throw. Basically as long as the rogue finds a spot on the edge of the radius of Deadly Throw so that they can get 1 combo point for it before quickly moving out of melee range to use Deadly Throw, you won't have any difficulty in getting the ach, as the rogues throw is an instant cast and disrupt. After each disrupt, rogue moves back into melee range and gets1 combo point, then moves out of melee range and into Deadly Throw range and waits for the cast bar to appear (I personally interrupted 5 times for group to get the ach). The only difficulty is finding that 'sweet spot'. so that the rogue doesn't need far to move to and fro. And this is the only ach for Glory of The Hero where luck plays a part, as you will need a latency of less than 200ms in order to get the ach, due to the shortness of the cast time.

Chaos Theory - You definitely need a mage for Dampen Magic, a tank with over 30k hp a healer with 20k mana plus another dps who can aoe. Basically just get out of range of the rifts (at least 15 yds from tank) and kite boss around after each phase, aoe'ing any adds that pass by the tank asap.

Ruby Void/Emerald Void - Go with 5 amber. Do the first Time Stop after about 8 secs, and the next one as soon as the 1st one ends. By that time Eregos should be about to go into the shift phase. As soon as he comes out, apply 3rd Time Stop, 4th Stop as soon as 3rd ends, 2nd phase shift should then be due, apply 5th stop as soon as he reappears, and then back to the 1st person's stop. (you now get the general idea).

Make It Count - Dont even think of going until you know the place very well and ask for others who are well experineced and have high dps. Just heal through the 3rd boss rather than kiting. DON'T release and run if you die as you will not get the ach even if you down him in time. Don't risk 5 amber, go with 1 red, 2 green, 2 amber. (My group went without a shaman and still had more than 4 mins left on the clock when we got our ach's)

You can tell how rare Glory of the Hero is, due to the fact that you see very few people flying around on red proto drakes.

Well after a week of farming for Ichoron i just had a shot at him with some guildies and we got confused as to whether or not she fused so we ended up downing her without the achieve =[.
It was my last achieve (surprisingly) for Glory. Besides the point however it was a hella fun ride meeting people along the way and even after i finish up Glory i'll be sure to help other ppl do it simply cause it does provide a tad more challenge compared to just running heroics. ^^

This Achievement is not nearly what it used to be. I'd reccomend starting with the hard ones though, Old Kingdom, Oculus and Azjol. They are much more intimidating than they are challenging.

This achievement can take you as little or as long as you want - depends on your dedication. However, Violet Hold is random and that can screw you up a bit.

I recommend watching the "how to" for certain achievements you are having trouble with on youtube.com. Just type in something like "wow respect your elders" if that's what you need. There are a lot of good videos with different strategies for your group's attempt.

Took me three days to knockout every achievement. I used the new dungeon system and chose specific instances and tried to knock out as many as I could with random pugs. Had to persuade quite a few people because people just want speed runs for badges.

I did the last 10 or with a few people on my server (Thunderlord US) and two people from another random server. We knocked out all the difficult achievements such as...

Share The Love
Chaos Theory
Volazj's Quick Demise
Watch Him Die

Many of these achievements take little effort of your group is overgeared. Less-Rabi was no problem for us, we only saw one transformation casting attempt. Volazj's Quick Demise was very easy as well. Volazj died in 16 seconds before he could do Insanity.

Watch him Die was by far the hardest, requiring an off tank.

Please listen if you just do random's, wanting this drake.

What I did was enter random dungeon and every group I asked if they wanted to get the achievements, I usually get a *F**k off* and get booted. If you get a group that just wants emblems, just leave and do some dailies or something while waiting for the debuff to go away.
BUT some groups are extremely geared, and if at least 2 of them want or need an achievement then you got an amazing achievement orientated group.
Why just today I did this and ended up in a group that did Watch Him Die, Chaos Theory, AND Respect Your Elders.
Keep looking, even if your in the middle of a daily, just go in and see if they want to. 4 more achievements left more me, it does work!

PS: If you happen to get Oculus this is GOOD, everyone who wants the emblems usually leave and most just want the achievement and KNOW what their doing if they stay.

This is pretty easy now, I pugged nearly all of it today. I only have a few things to add, the existing resources on this are pretty extensive.

Less-Rabi
You can dps him down before his third cast with CDs, this is definitely the easiest way to do it if you can.

Watch Him Die
Everyone on boss, light him up, no one AoEs except for the tank to keep aggro.

Respect Your Elders
We happened to have two paladins and two DKs when we did this, and I think the best way is to have at least one other plate wearer besides the tank and an additional healing class besides the primary healer. Have the tank drag him out of the room towards the instance entrance until he's at the bottom of the first staircase you come to. This is just before the point at which he will enrage. Tank him here and have a dps on him with a healer to, you know, heal and stuff. The other plate wearer and healing class should be in the room tanking the guardians as they spawn.
This is pretty simple, but it works great and I haven't seen it posted anywhere else, mostly you'll hear to kite him to the instance entrance, which I think is unnecessarily difficult.
The only tricky bit is if the healer is within range of the guardians immunity aura, any small adds (they ALSO BECOME IMMUNE) will likely aggro to them, but it's difficult to get them off when you can't damage them. So, heals make sure they're not standing where mobs aggroing them will be immune.

Abuse the Ooze
Things get out of control really fast after the fifth sludge merges, a bunch more appear real fast, so make sure everyone's counting and finishes killing the boss as soon as the fifth one is dead. You won't know if you get it until he dies, so don't just kill sludges until you see the achievement, because you'll be there forever.

All of this is accurate as of whatever patch it was that the second wing in ICC was released.

The nerfing of this achievement continues. Guess they checked what achievements most people dont do, and nerfed those instances, to make them easier.

My Girl Loves to Skadi All the Time and Lodi Dodi We Loves the Skadi nerfed
Skadi the Ruthless can now be removed from his drake with 3 harpoon strikes, down from 5.

Chaos Theory nerfed
Anomalus will now use the Create Rift ability only once, down from 3 times.

Respect Your Elders nerfed
Elder Nadox now only gets one Ahn'kahar Guardian during the encounter.

Volunteer Work nerfed
Jedoga Shadowseeker now only ascends once during the encounter.

Now everyone will have a Red Proto-Drake

Nobody ever Co-operate when u are in any hc, and You say for example:
"Hey, let's get On the rocks!"
Then they don't care, and when the boss finaly comes, you ask, again, and they still don't listen. But still you kill the boss, and DON'T earn any achievment. that happens to me absolutely every ****ing time!

Actually I still reckon this achievement is hard just because nobody ever wants to do it.

If you want a proto-drake I reckon you've got a better chance of finding the green one in the egg or the time-lost floating around than trying to stir the placid WoW playerbase into doing something interesting for a change.

So much fluff on here. :P

Going to keep my post simple.
Don't be afraid to ask a group if they want to go for an achievement either going into the dungeon or while running it. Some are easy, some are hard. Start running the heroics and you'll start collecting some of them (some "on accident"), then as you collect some, come back to WoWHead and read up on the ones you don't have. This site has been the best tool for me in pursuit of this. Some of the achieves are a lot harder than others, and you'll quickly find out which ones as you go along.

Either way, it's still fun, and a great reward. Just take your time and be patient and persistent. Good luck to all in your quest.

Just did Emerald Void (green) and Amber Void (yellow) at the same time with a group of people I got together in trade chat. Buffing the drakes really adds some nice hp. 5 Ruby drakes all spamming their 1. attack and 2. evasive maneuvers. Nobody got below 50% hp and we did it. Easy as pie.

Watch Him Die! ain't that hard when you are doing it overgeared (4.7k-5k gearscore or so), done it today with 2 tanks 2 dps and a healer, no tactic required, nuke big one and /pray

We did it with a caster heavy group, we wiped on the trash shortly after the boss was down and we got the achievement. One of the few wipes I have seen where no one was irate after.

I would think having two tanks would cut your dps a little, but I suppose it depends on class / gear / talents.

Why people are so headstrong with this achiv? It's simply useless to complete all of these achiv for a red proto drake that has 280% flyng speed.

In Stratholme a bronze drake drops with 96% drop rate. So what's the difference?
