I had a problem getting this quest completed.

Make sure that when you use the triangulation device you are not standing in the correct location to begin with (ie: 66., 33.8). Stand a little outside the area and use it. When the mark comes up, walk to it for the quest to complete, otherwise, you can be on the mark all you want, the quest will not show completed.

Use the triangulation device near the coordinates and it will show you exactly where to run.

After you complete the quest, you need to turn the completed quest into Dealer Hazzin. He is located at 58, 31.

Before Completing this quest, make sure to do Potential For Brain Damage = High

This device lets you see the mobs you need and you won't have to kill for the potions. The potions that you need are a incredibly difficult drop so this makes the quest significantly easier.

The quest isn't complete until it actually says "Complete"

Sounds mean, but I thought I was done and on my way back (at the 3 point road meeting) found the arrow.

I have not used any mdos or addons at all. I think it ruins the ideal gameplay Blizzard wanted you to play with. Obviously they do not mind the addons/mods, but I think that there is no need for them.

FYI, if you have your flyer, you can fly to the mark after you are close enough to make your mark. You don't have to run into any camps of enemies.

and do remember that when you use the device you get a buff that let you actually see the marker ... when that buff wears off the marker disappears, and you have to use the device again to show up. You have to get the marker while the buff is up or it won't complete.

I was on the other side of netherstorm when I did this, so I had to get there anyways, easier to just have the thingie point me in the right direction, and then fly straight there.

...again it's important to point out that you need to be away from the point before using the device.
If you use the device and the arrow is close to your position the quest wont complete.

Move 10-15 yards away away, use the device and walk towards the red arrow.
Quest will complete when you reach it.

Right in the area of the intersecting roads at the NE corner of Manaforge Ultris. I had to fly into the air around it in order to "discover" it.

i found the spot put the arrow up and went back to the dealer but the question mark is still Grey :( I did it before the arrow disappeared.

Also tried to abandon the Q but that also didn''t work.

Any ideas or is this Q bugged?

Just a hint for those who can't read coords yet.There is a free addon from curse.com called koordinator.Puts coords on map AND gives you lil movable window on screen.always tells you exactly where you are.Add map notes and you are good to go.And it works with 2.4,just got it myself :)

If you're like me and use carbonite, then get there cause you already know it's there and don't get anything after using the device. Here's how I did it:

- Find the point using coords, then use the staff when you're there. If you're too close you won't get a completion (Remember, you have to "find it using the device")

- Go away from where it is, walk off on any of the roads you see where there aren't mobs. Don't go too far.

- Use the device and start running towards the point, you should get the completion.

(Xferred from another site) Just land on 67.34 and use the triangulation device. Once you're done with that, you will be pointed towards and arrow similar to that of a Hunter's Mark. Simply run to that mark and once you've reached it you will complete the quest. Very easy.

Stand at the intersetion of the 3 roads at 66,34.

Use the item, you'll get turned around, walk forward 20 feet, done.

follow the road north of mana forge ultris.. it's floating in the air. A red hunters mark.

What pre-quests are needed to get the "?" to appear for this quest? I am lvl 70 and cannot see it. Thanks.

Obviously get to the co ords. Use the triangulation device to get the big red arrow pointer to appear.

Despite standing under the pointer I did not 'discover' the way point.

However by starting at the centre of where the three roads intersect and walking toward the pointer - it seemed to trigger of the completion of that quest.

Just incase you get there, see it but cant complete the quest.

If when you get to the location and it wont complete the quest (66:33), simply log off and back on, worked for me.

Go to the Island with Manaforge Ultris on it. Follow the road along the northern most part of it to interesection on NE corner of Ultris. Use Device and you can then run to hunters mark. Super easy.

If you are still lost follow road until you see intersection mark to The Celestial Riddge, Tempest Keep, Kirin'var Village. If you are still lost after this then pick up a game of pong cause that's the game you should be playing.

Just use the thing you get and then you looking that way it is. sometimes stop up and do it again untill you see a Hunters mark on the ground and you are done

The first point is at 66,34. Second point is at 28,41. The boss is located at 53,21.

Triangulation Point One

Use the Triangulation Device to point your way toward the first triangulation point. Once you have found it, report the location to Dealer Hazzin at the Protectorate Watchpost on the Manaforge Ultris island in the Netherstorm.

Description

There is another reason for the retrieval of the surveying equipment. There is a crystal from draenei legend of great importance to me.

It is said that the crystal bestows god-like powers to its bearer! But it is in danger of being unearthed by others - namely the Burning Legion.

<name>, take the equipment and use it to find the first triangulation point. We know it to be somewhere to the east near Manaforge Ultris.

Afterward, check-in with my agent, Dealer Hazzin, on the Manaforge Ultris island.
