I just knew we'd see more from Mike! This announcement makes me so happy. Best wishes all around!
I have always had tons of respect for Mike, it was sad to see him go... I thought he was retiring. I see he's ready for new adventures and it makes me really glad, I have great hopes for this new company, I'll be looking forward to their relases :)
Nominee for Guinness book of records for most polite f* you toward AAA companies, Mr. Mike Morhaime.Absolutely looking forward to their products.
Good stuff. Let's hope there's something iOS-related coming out.
Let's hope they make a WOW competitor, and the wowhead folks create a site for it!
I wander what kind of non-compete clause Activision made him sign before he left, because with information he already unloaded, i would send someone else to start his car, just in case.
When those old geezers retired, the left over are all dumbass whom only think about stock.
I am interested in seeing what they come up with. However, I have to wonder about their funding sources. Morhaim is one of the people who sold Silicon and Synapse/Chaos Studios (which became Blizzard Entertainment due to legal issues with their name) to Davidson & Company (and Sierra Online) in 1994. That put Blizzard on the direct trajectory to where they are now.
Anyone wanting to bet years down the line blizzard just thrown to this studio/company again I wish lol.
Nothing says "I got forced out of my own company" more than "Founder of massive gaming company leaves and starts another gaming company". &*!@ activision.
Lets go Mike!
Poggers
Wish him the best, hopefully a passionate group of game developers again like Blizzard was in its earlier days.
THIS IS BIG!
I mean yay but really who cares? They arent working on WoW maybe they'll make a great MMO or something but I doubt I'd even play it.
This is pretty huge.Holy hell..Shots FIRED.
I'm super excited for these guys, hoping they'll have many successes, eagerly and curiously awaiting future announcements
Feels like he regrets the sale of Blizzard to Activision. I mean, I can't blame him. When you make a deal with the devil, you will regret it sooner or later.Lets hope this company also do not follow the same path.
