Given that everyone has levelled their professions to 300 to begin following these guides, I'm surprised they do not suggest levelling 300-330 with the old-world mats people have already stockpiled.....Tailors with Wizardweave Robes, Blacksmiths with Enchanted Thorium Blades, for example. Outland herbs and ores will not be plentiful or cheap at launch, and are better saved for when needed.
Many spellcasters (Elemental Shamans in particular) could get up to 330 Enchanting "for free" (ie using Firebloom and disenchanting old blue gear) just to stockpile all the Brilliant Wizard Oil they'll need for phase 1.
