The design for this gem is available when the crafter is Friendly with The Scales of Sand. It is the epic version of Gleaming Dawnstone (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=24050)

The gem, Lionseye (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=32229,) is attained by trash mobs in Black Temple.

This is much easier to obtain for anyone not in a big guild that raids BT and Hyjal as epic gems can now be bought for Badge of Justice and the recipe to make it can be bought from Shaani on the Isle of Quel'Danas. Also, if you have big raid guilds on your server with loads of badges laying around, epic gems become fairly common on the auction house for around 300g, and it then becomes a matter of finding a JC to cut it for you, but if you can afford 300g for the gem, who cares how much the cut costs

They can be found from Mining Veins in Hyjal Summit and also random trash drops from the Black Temple.

I have fire mage with 38.00 critical strike rating.... now, i wondered, which socket is better for me: +spell critical OR +spell hit rating? i have my opinion , but i am not sure, so i want to hear others opinion... thanks!
