Does this beast retain or get back his swarm ability? I was playing my rogue in the barrens when I saw this bad boy spit out like 20 minions to fight a orc that was attacking it i had to run my 40 hunter all the way to the barrens to tame it

No they do not keep their swarm power.. and they are tamable... they are the scorps.. not the grubs

even though the swarmer has no minions after u tame it the silithid crawler can make the egg still when it is tamed

Are these good for hunter pets in pve? im going to have a pvp pet and a pve, right now i already have my panther and i luv it, Do these guys make good pve pets or do they suck like the other silithid scorpion a lvl lower than them?

These are awesome for training defense if you can stay alive. Every second or two, they produce a tiny baby silithid that only hits for 1, very quickly. Get about 12 of those spawned and finish of the swarmer, then let the babies beat on you until you max defense. Goes up pretty fast.

Dropped for me in the Barrens off a Silithid Swarmer :-) Was testing my Lock's AOE spell on the little bugger when he dropped it.

i tamed this pet and i have to say i'm pretty happy with it the poison effect is nice and useful soooo yeah if you want a scorpid and you lvl 22-23 i would say go for it

This mobs have some swarmers they spawn, most of them are labeled guardians, but one is labeled minion per mob, minions do pretty much the same damage as the swarmer, kill them first if you're not using AoE/thorns. Guardians only damage 1.

One of the most brutally annoying/frustrating/challenging Classic mobs for a caster to fight. They continue to spawn small 1 HP adds that all interrupt your casting, so you'll never get a spell off, leaving you to only have instant spells.

Very challenging.
