These are some Very nice pants I do however want to add that they will be much lower on my list of things to purchase w/ badges compaired to say the Mace, Belt, Ring, or Chest Peice. The reason for that is compaired to the Natural Life Leggings these(socketed idealy) have:
+17 Healing
+4 MP5
-17 Spell Critical Strike rating.
Basically Pants and helm are the most expensive slots to gem/ enchant in my Natural Life Leggings(w/ my servers econ) I have 420g in my leg socket.

I would never , ever , think about getting this leg since I've noticed that It won't boost you're healing/mp5/spellcrit alot ! so I would stick on the fact that both the Healing chest , healing finger and the healing waist would be worth to buy since I didn't get any luck on getting the girdle of fallen stars .

I know the stats are different so the comparison is tough but you can do the comparison using gem values to aproximate the value of each specific stat as that is the way you will make up each lost stat:
spl crit: 10 = 1point
mp5: 4 = 1 point
healing: 22 = 1 point
spl haste: 10 = 1 point
int :10 = 1 point
stam: 15 = 1 point
By this rating system:
Runed Scales of Antiquity
int - 3.80
stam - 3.00
heal - 5.18
mp5 - 3.75
spl hst - 0.00
spl crit - 0.00
gem slots - 2.00
Total Points: 17.73
Natural life leggings:
int - 3.8
stam - 3.0
heal - 4.0
mp5 - 2.25
spl hst - 0.00
spl crit - 1.70
gem slots - 3.00
Total Points: 17.75
The totals imply that the old pants were better which begs the question why buy the new one when the old were better? If you gem right you have more implied value out of the classic natural life leggings.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagee with you on the crit is worthless... in more than a few fights ancestral fortitude has saved lives during a silence or a nub rogue or enhancement shammy pulling aggro.
Second my healing wave hits for over 8k when it crits as opposed to 4k when it doesnt not to mention when a chain heal can crit for 6k and ancestral fortitude multiple players in an aoe pull... your just simply wrong.... Crit may not give us mp5 but once you reach the point where you would buy these I would hope if you are not a moron you don't have oom problems. I stopped running out of mana a long time ago if you time your mana tide and don't get impossibly unlucky with spellsurges. If you are still going oom then gem your gear and enchant it better... or just learn to play your class.
After that I stack healing and crit. With the crit I generally only need to cast a lesser healing wave instead of a healing wave to sustain my party... so you might want to L2Play before you post...
As for where I got those values it is from Blizzard itself. Look at the values contained in Epic gems and you will see. Now granted each class uses specific values for each of those to make more of an impact, for instance I don't need as much stam as many classes so that one may not way into my armor value calculation, but you are dead wrong about crit. Stack your crit a little higher and watch how much less mana you have to use and how much greater the average ammount your heal hits for... you will thank me later.
Also who uses 9heal 2mp5 gems after the patch? the 11heal 2mp5 gems are no longer unique equipped, plus you can buy the 22 healing gems for 15 badge of justice(plus finding someone to cut them), So lets think about this for a sec....
15 heal 4 mp5 vs. 17 crit( 0.77% at lvl 70) personally with my mp5 and + to heal (t5/za/t4 gear) the crit will do a world better. At best its a push (as shown in my comparison). My argument is not that they are bad pants as they obviously aren't... just saying that at best they are a side grade.

You completely ignored spell crit in your math. As opposed to what some in here who no offense intended don't know what they are talking about say spell crit matters. That will skew the numbers nicely. If you want to get really serious about the math you can weigh in intellect gems value into heals and crit as well but it's unneccesary to go that deep. Some here would tell you that all stacking crit is gonna do is cause you to over heal... they would be wrong. For starters in most 25 man raids with my guild I am tops for healing meters or sometimes second at the lowest depending on the fight and my general overheal is on average only around 23%. Look at any other class and tell me that their overheal is lower than 23% while putting out a large portion of the total heals on average and I will laugh in your face. The reason for this is once you get intofurther endgame content the majority of people will have upwards of 9k life. (even clothies) So if my crit hits and larege amount of healing goes to someone who has taken a hit but did not die thats great! and remember that ammount degrades as it bounces between targets. So while your primary target may take some overheal (generally not more than a little) your secondary and tertiary targets will not require a focused heal cast because they will be sustained by the chain crits.
Also blizzard put heavy splash damage in a lot of the later fights and when 1 healer can do the work of two (or two can do the work with half the mana) because he consistently has larger heals that frees a second shaman or other healer to be focusing on tanks. Also heaven forbid a mt healer should die. I can easily MT heal as I have yet to see any class out there who puts consistantly, drastically larger heals than my big heals and mine cast as quick if not quicker than theirs. Don't listen to what the uneducated are saying.
That being said spell crit only matters once you have a solid ammount of mp5 and plus healing. crit*crap for healing is still crap. I agree with what many have said that the mp5 is way more important for a shammy but only to a certain point, which should generally be around the point where you are somewhere around t5 quality gear or as mentioned before 150mp5 unbuffed no water shield. Thats why blizz put things like crit on some of the t5. go to the blizz armory... and look at upgrades for the t4 or t5 helm it will say that the t4 helm is better than the t5 helm which obviously isn't the case and the reason even blizz messed this up in armory is because they don't take crit into account. the t5 is better because it has 21 crit value on it.
