The "tank" trinket from M'uru with obvious PVP applications for melee classes. This is in effect an expertise version of the Battlemaster's trinkets, with the higher Equip and Use values that come with its higher item level. :)

This is a tanking trinket. This is designed for two things - blowing through farm content or freeing up other slots. Your gear is a reflection of your preference in playstyle, and trinkets are the easiest way to vary things. It's not as easy as a tank to say, 'I'd like to make a full avoidance set and a full mitigation set' as it is to say 'I'd like to pick up an extra trinket.' This is a nice way for an avoidance-focused tank pick up some threat generation, or for an expertise-focused tank to stack even higher, bringing them one step closer to pushing parry off the combat table.

On top of the expertise, it's also adding an additional cooldown to use. Warriors may look at this and scoff, wondering what the hell they'd need another cooldown for. Paladins, however, don't have the same cooldowns as Warriors, and expertise being their second-best stat for threat improvement, I'd imagine this looks pretty good to them.

This, like all gear, is an option. Trinkets are one of the easiest spots to change things up for specific fights, and this one looks like an extremely useful option.

For a Mu'ru geared Tankadin, Expertise beats spelldamage for threat. Breakpoint is about 800 spell-damage, which is easily obtainable in "threat" gear. Tankadins also have very limited Experitise options - Blizz are crap at tankadin itemisation and put stuff like intellect on stuff instead of Expertise.

And, as others have pointed out, pally tanks have no last-stand/shield wall/etc. So "on use" trinkets are very highly valued.

Expertise was always a amazing PvE trait,

Tanks will need this alot, because if they can hit a bosses parry
Percentage, with this on, they will never have to worry about those nasty instant attacks back at them when they get parried,

No Spikage FTW

Great for rogues, and any other melee class as well, VERY good

i hope u noticed sunwell drops lot s of pvp stuff-this is 1 of them i would personally use it as prot and arms
