As a single item comparison, Master Assassin Wristwraps, the leather bracers also available for 35 heroic badges, are better for dps. The leather bracers give a yellow socket and +20 crit (w/ socket bonus) at the cost of -19 int, -1 agi, and the armor penetration.

However, armor penetration does improve as you stack it, so these could be better in consideration with other pieces of gear.

How does exactly armor penetration work and what is exactly the damage difference against a boss?

Obviosly intended for hunters... I personally am going to get the rogue ones, the asassin ones. 35 badges, leather, but with 20+ crit depending on your gem. Its pretty much 30 crit or 105 armor penetration and 19 int, I rlly think I am gonna benefit from more crit, but I will look again right before I buy later today.
