This will be one of the new weapons that will drop in Zul' Amen next patch in 2.3.

As for the tanking part mentioned above. That little boost in stamina wouldn't be a big deal; the idolized tanking weapons are typically a 1.6 speed. And that .2 makes quite a difference in TPS that no tank would want to lose for a tab bit of health.

I recently got both the Umbral Shiv and the Cleaver of the Unforgiving so i decided to do some testing. I didn't run any simulations i just went to the same type of mob and spammed devestate while in identical gear. I used a sample size of 100 devestates to measure the damage of normal hits with each weapon. For comparisons sake i had 678ap and was grinding on the Bonestripper vultures in hellfire.

Cleaver of the Unforgiving:
Devestate ranged from 91-331 with an average of 239

Umbral Shiv:
devestate ranged from 92-342 with an average of 243

So according to my test the umbral shiv actually hits a bit harder with devestate. This doesn't take into account that it is slower and therefore less HS spams, but strictly based on devestate damage, umbral shiv is a bit better.

Some limitations of this experiment include, limited sample size of 100 strikes, possible uneven streaks of mongoose procs, the amount of hits I got in after 5 sunders (which might result in skewed data).

In conclusion, I'll still use the cleaver with mongoose enchant for normal tanking, but i might throw executioner on the shiv and two solid stars of elune for a fun alternative tanking weapon (while still being good for dps otherwise). Of course, i would never ever take this from a rogue (i have a rogue myself and this is amazing), but if a warrior gets a chance to pick this up and doesn't have a good tanking weapon I wouldn't pass it up.

Update:
The Sun Eater
devestate ranged from 74-299 with an average of 212

So based on this, if you have sun eater and you have a chance to get this for tanking I wouldn't pass it up.

***Assuming unlimited rage (which isn't always possible) and always activating HS (which isn't always possible), a 1.6 speed weapon will get 37.5 HS/minute and a 1.8 speed weapon would get ~33.3 HS/minute.
Since heroic strike is +196 threat (rank 10), this would result in 816 more threat/minute with a 1.6 speed weapon.

However, this is assuming perfect conditions, so I'd still take a harder hitting devestate.

I currently have 2 of these, both with a Glinting Pyrestone (+5hit, +5 agi) and a Delicate Crimson Spinel (+10 agi) and then 20 agility enchants. I am a Hunter btw, and didn't steal them off a rogue. Just figured i'd share, got 74 Agi, 36 hit. Can be nice if ya don't have a crazy polearm yet.

P.S. i am a troll, so it looks cool to have tribal weapons like these.

For rogue tanking sets, this is a 'best in slot' item. 2 +10 agility gems in it along with a +20 agi enchant puts it at almost 3% dodge (with a still healthy level of damage and threat).

Granted, rogue tanking is still esoteric.

This comes from the timed event in ZA. You have to kill the first boss in 20 minutes, and then you free a guy, and he opens a chest for you with an epic in it. Then you get 15 minutes added to do the next boss, and so on.

I think some of the chests have a shared loot table, but not all. Like, the first 3 chests have one loot table, and the next 3 have a better loot table. We found this in the chest by the second boss - the eagle.

got this the other night in ZA after getting to the 2nd chest for the first time.

i've noticed a HUGE difference in my DPS after socketing this and resocketing my other gear to spread around the +hit and +agi. i currently have a +8 agi and a +4 agi/hit in the sockets.

This was an upgrade from an emerald ripper, as i've done the prince fight many many times and never saw malchazeen drop :(

This is how the chest loot tables looks:

Chest 1: Armor

Chest 2: Weapon

Chest 3: Ring

Chest 4: Amani War Bear (Mount)

The drops are based on the order of which you take the bosses. ie. it doesn't matter if you do Halazzi first or Nalorakk first, you'll still get armor in the first chest, weapons in the second one and so on.

I got this dagger on my rogue yesterday, combined with Dagger of Bad Mojo from hex lord... I love it.

Ok, so i picked this up about a week ago replacing the nightblade since i never saw a dps dagger drop in kara. QQ, i know...
Today i picked up https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=33389/邪恶魔精匕首, the dagger of bad mojo...My question is, should i replace this wit the bad mojo? Im losing some hit, and 30stam but with the armor reduc. bonus i think it may be worth it.

I don't like taking a rogue's dagger just like I wouldnt want a rogue taking my Xbow, Bow or Gun however....as a Survival Specced Hunter...Having these with 2x 8agi gems and 20 agi enchant...would make this the highest possible agi dagger in game...and more agi a Survival hunter has...more AP the whole RAID gets from Expose Weakness (1/4 of total hunter's agi = AP on that target when I crit).

So I would say this badboy off hand and the new fist wep from badges coming out in 2.4 (has 23 agi and other nice stats) with +20agi enchant on those as well...u would have a whopping 91 agility total on ur wep slots which would be considered one of the highest possible agi combo u can get (there are 24 agi weps...but the new fist wep has haste and AP...cant ignore that for 1 agi and far weaker stats)...and then you add 15% to that 91 from talents(Lightning Reflex talents)...you get about 105agi total....so now this combo alone would give your WHOLE raid that uses ranged or melee would get 26+ AP...and that would make a big diff in when say 12/25 of your raid are AP users....(now i am only talking about this wep alone...if a survival hunter has 1000 agi with buffs like kings or MoTW or whatnot...u all get +250AP on that target....and that number times...sayyy...the 12 ppl that use AP as their source of dps....12x250 = 3000AP contributed to the raid...thats like having another member or 2)

So my fellow rogues (I have a 70 rogue myself)...before you get mad at a hunter rolling for this consider that it would still help you out indirectly and the rest of the ppl fighting by your side....but if that hunter isnt survival rolls for this and there are rogues in the group that want this...cut his balls off lol

WTF, great stats... again... just like that damn bad mojo thing.

But: Why do all of the ZA items have to look that ugly? Is that the price you pay for getting good items for a little too few effort?
