Although this ring has resilience, it is _easily_ eclipsed by other rings such as Band of Halos and Naaru Lightwarden's Band due to the lack of intellect.

For example, Band of Halos has 21int, which equates to 23.1 int and 346.5 mana after talents and before BOK. If we assume that 5v5 fights are 5min on average, 346.5 mana equates to 5.775mp5. This puts Band of Halos way ahead of Band of the Vigilant in terms of itemization points, unless resilience/stam is critically required by the user.

Also as an important pointer, this ring is not solely made for Paladins. Resto shamans as well as Holy/disc priests can use this ring just as well as Paladins. Do not forget that +heal is also scalable survivability, so for the best results, consider maximizing resi AND healing.

This ring is decent for raid healers. Keeping a small amount of resilience equipped in a PvE environment will help ensure that you don't die to a crit. Some of the bosses are very aggro sensitive (like during the Hydross phase transition for example). Having a little bit will help with keeping you alive by reducing a crit done to you so that you can continue healing. People think that Resilience is a PvP only thing, which is untrue. Small amounts in PvE is good to have.
Also, some bosses have a 'target random raid member' ability that has the chance to crit.

I very much disagree.

There is NO need at all for any resilience in the current raid environment.
Especially healers should not waste statpoints on a stat that does not contribute the raid.

It is IMO the single best arena ring for Paladins, but even Kara rings are better suited for PVE.

This is one of the 4 Pvp rings that drop from end-game raiding

Of course, with the new pvp vendors in Isle of Quel'danas, you can theoritcally earn those pvp rings from badges, but these are the only rings with resil that drops from a chest or boss in-game so far

this ring looks like a pvp ring for many reasons. the tons of stamina is great cause you can yea the amazing heal bonus but if you cant survive a rogues stunlocks your screwed. also resilience reduces chance to be critted and damage. lastly the spell crit is good for healers, any class really in pvp. these are short tough battles where that crit heal might help you win. this is good for any healing class, and as a resto shaman i would be proud that i rolled on it
