When you complete attunement for Mount Hyjal with Soridormi ("The Vials of Eternity" quest: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/quest=10445 ), you get Friendly reputation with The Scale of the Sands and immediate access to the first ring, Band of Eternity (level 128): https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=29307

These upgrades become available when you reach each reputation cap. This reputation can only be obtained from slaying mobs in Caverns of Time: The Battle for Mount Hyjal raid instance.

However, trash mobs in Hyjal aren't currently giving the reputation they should, which is supposed to be patched soon. As long as this remains, it can take over 4 months of clearing all bosses in Hyjal weekly to get this ring, ie, getting your reputation from Friendly to Exalted (5 bosses, around 400 rep each - I'm not aware if Archimonde will give more).

This is one of the best (if not - as it seems at first sight - the very best) healer rings available at the moment. The only thing actually close to it (at item level 151) is Blessed Band of Karabor: https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=32528

Would welcome solid info on the procc myself, once someone is able to test it!

For the healing rings, reputation with The Scale of the Sands -

Currently the only reputation gained from Friendly to Exalted is through killing bosses in Hyjal Summit, but in a future patch (2.2), there will be reputation awarded for killing trash.

Great move from blizzard to add mp/5 to this ring instead of spirit, I was very disapointed when I saw the spirit in Violet Eye's rep ring.
So it is great for all healer classes. :)

This item along with all the other exalted rings have a 45sec hidden cooldown on their proc from the buff fades, 55 second after the proc happens.

its the exalted ring you get with Scale of the Sands (Battle of Mt Hyjal) they are similar to the Violet Eye rings, but much more awsome

According to the spell, this ring has a 10% proc chance. Not sure about an inbuilt cooldown, but with a procrate like that, I'd say it does have one.

if it procs while procced, the proc will refresh the duration. its that simple, one proc can only ever be one active proc unless it says it "Stacks" on the item itself.

Get exalted with the Scales of the Sand faction. (Kill stuff in the Hyjal Summit instance.)

The buff lasts 15sec atm (they'll prolly "fix" that like the BT pally trink)

in 1100 casts (mostly Flash o Light) it only proc'd 26 times :( and never on top of itself
