Picked one up today while farming bloodmaul geomancers for bracer spellpower enchant. Kinda a nice bonus :)

this is a very expensive enchant. requires 3 fires, airs, and waters. the 3 most expensive primals. the earths are negligible as they sell for 3g each. 6 greater pris are pretty expensive too.

on my server this enchant would cost about 340g in mats. the pattern itself is extremely rare as well. as far as i know, there are only 3 people on my server able to do this (myself included)

i have yet to do this enchant and i doubt i will for a while.

+5 to all resistance is such a non-specific enchant I can't see any serious warrior getting it.

Pre-TBC Blizzard introduced the Plague Bearer (https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=22818) - a GREAT shield even ignoring the Frost resist, that you could then tweak even further with Frost resist enchant if you wanted to go all out in that department.

This idea of really minor resistance to all schools is a complete waste of time imo. Simply put, don't waste your time with this enchant.

You are forgetting the fact that other than Frost resist(https://www.wowhead.com/tbc/item=11224) there are no other resist enchants to shield which means this will help to get u just that little more resist no matter which school of magic your collecting resistance gear for.

I believe this recipie is best for those who want a pretty cheap skill-up, from 360 and up.
The enchant itself is rather useless compared to the other ones.

I don't know if you noticed. But the mats do not make this a "...pretty cheap skill-up..." in any way. 2 large prismatic shards, either farmed or bought does not give you a cheap skill point.

That's not even considering the motes you need to farm or buy. Farming motes or large prismatic shards (via tailoring creations) can be quick or long dependent upon your individual drop rate percentage.

This is not a server dependent cost consideration either. As those mats are used by a lot of different recipes. Therefore retaining a high market value all the time.

So considering time and value for the materials. Stay away from this enchant for skilling purposes. If anything. Majai said it right: Only value is with enchanter's being 'completionist' (sic).

it dropped from a Bloodmaul Skirmisher in Blade edge for me.. was grinding +15 spelldmg from the geomancers there and this dropped ^^

An okay enchant, but kind of sucks that a caster, in one gem socket, can undo it with +5 penetration (I think they make that gem)

Handy if you wanted to stack resistance.
