Assume u r farming only scorpid blood, the drop rate is about 1 Sblood for 5 mobs.
10 Sbloods give 20 tickets, u need 1200 tickets therefore ~3000 mobs will give u ur amulet!

positive point : in the same area there are some spiders that drop all type of silk....

I did it with my friend and farmed about 10 hours (Give or take). Got 204 of these (My friend already has the necklace). Well I'll do it tomorrow and the day after and I should be set + I'll ask more people to help (It's a good thing to have a helpful guild).

Dont forget, Rugged leather can be skinned from these Scorpids, so if you combine Kits with blood it will go alot faster. The Heavy scales are a nice bonus as well.

I suggest stacking this with th quests to collect the stingers, and the .5 upgrade quest that asks for poison samples to maximize your farming time.

If you are a skinner, you get quite a bit of rugged leather for armor kits too. Sucks you get the heavy scorpid scales alot of the time instead of rugged leather, but it still speeds things up somewhat.

I combine scorpid killing with doing some of the Cenarion tasks as well when I get bored with just slaughtering scorpids. So I mix in some field duty quests, since once you start the script you can just go kill more scorpids for a couple minutes then come back to help Blackanvil kill the big bug. Got a bit over halfway through honored with cenarion while grinding scorpids and turning combat/tactical/logistic badges for 500 rep per set.

It slows down your scorpid farming, but faction grinding isn't very fun either so it breaks the monotony some to mix the two together.

I have no idea who decided farm scropion blood, that's madness... for the first, everyone farm it so each one gets a little of scropids.. for the second as it said spawn point can give u different types of mobs so if everyone farm for scropids there is no scropids... the third - scropids are quest mobs in silithus ... it taked me 3 days to complete that quest because there was no scropids at all... If u farm plaguebats - it's pretty easy, not much ppl do that, there is much more evil bats at same time on map than scropids so much more ppl can farm them together, and finally, they always spawns and u don't need to find them, they always around u just move and u will find them.

Conclusion: Scorpid blood farming is crazy madness

You can turn these in 10 at a time at the darkmoon faire. Haven't done it yet so I don't know ho many tickets, but more than 20 as you get that for Evil Bat Eyes. Silithus hunting loots these nicely, 20% or so.

you need 600 of these for the trink... a little simple math will show you that, farming the highest drop rate ones, you need to kill around 3,000 scorpids for this item. i'll leave you to decide if its worth it or not

farm glowing scorpid blood when the faire is not in town then, as simple as that. i can farm scorpids and get around 10 blood in 30 mins.

50 hours is about what it's taking me. It may sound steep, but the Amulet of the Darkmoon is worth 50 hours. Better than anything you'll get off the auction house, and better than everything I've seen in non-raid instances. Even if there's an instance drop better, it's rare and you'll have to brave the need rolls to get it in the off case it actually drops. This one is just a matter of collecting enough junk, and there's plenty of options to get tehre. Farm the scorpid blood all month, buy rugged leather kits or other turnins with the rest of your income. I managed around 100 tickets a day doing this. Invest a couple weeks during the month, and then when the fair comes in, you should be set to go.

I thought I'd post this here so others could avoid a headache.

After deciding to collect scorpid blood for the amulet I learned something about the nature of sillithus. Each mob in a given region will spawn as 1 of about 3 things.

***IMPORTANT***

If you go around killing only scorpids, soon there will be no scorpids!

***IMPORTANT***

When the faire is in town on my server, with a 5:1 ration of alliance to horde, you can walk across gnomes and night elves from one end to the other without touching the sand. All of which selectively pick scorpids and race around on their mounts. Then when I clear an area of spawns they swoop in and scoop up all the scorpids and leave.

So, maybe you don't know how the area works, now you've been warned and have no excuse.

pick an area: kill everything, wait for scorpids. TRUST ME IT WILL BE FASTER.

Figured I'd try farming these things for tickets. After a straight hour of farming I ended up with 12 Glowing Scorpid Blood and a bunch of vendor trash. A 1200 ticket prize would take about 50 hours of farming at the rate I was getting the drops. Not worth it if you ask me.

I sold about 4k of these things at Auctions.. Now that I need rep I dont have patience to farm them for myself :P
