After you show this to Neeru Fireblade (or whatever you use it for for Hidden Enemies, i can't remember) you NEVER need it again; it's useless. Drop it and destroy it, save yourself some inventory space.
If you don't believe me msg a high level player, heh.

There is no point in the quest line(s) at which the insignia will be automatically taken from you. You must destroy it to be rid of it.

MY lvl 55 hunter has recently recieved a quest that needed me to talk to Neeru. I forgot the quest name but it made me think of this insignia. I thought maybe i needed it to do something in the quest, maybe an extra reward or exp bonus or something. Someone should keep this and see if its used for anything later.

Im a level 37 shaman. I have saved this insignia waiting for someone to prove that it is required for some quest. I read some of these posts at level 20 and wasnt sure if we had a definetive answer. I think i am goin to destroy it because no one has come back and said definitevely if this is a keeper.

Head to Skull Rock, the first cutlist by the entrance dropped it.

Leave orig and take a left keep going until u hit skull rock if you hit the bay you've gone to far, remember to stay at the base of mountain. I forgot to get co-od but its near there

i did this quest with my warrior a loong time a go. that damn insignia never disappears and if you throw it away after completing the quest nothing happens so i suggest you do so. only takes bagspace anyway

I have carried this piece of crap for 50 something lvls now. I have finally decided to throw it away. The reason i kept it was i remembered Thrall told me to keep it, i probably heard it wrong.

Still have it am level 59 now. I don't really need the space anymore and am paranoid to drop it. I think thrall takes the item away now from new characters. It seems a shame to dump it now after I have spent most of my playing life with it in my bank.

I still have mine. I'm going to talk to Thrall with it in my inventory and see if he takes it or not. Otherwise it's going to be tossed. This games has TONS of useless quest items that stay in your inventory. From the Bloodpetal Zapper to the Beacon Torch; all useless stuff you don't really need to keep.

Well Neeru fireblade says that he will talk to you again some day... so i did keep it, but now im level 20 so i think he migh have forgotten about it! thay stupid Jerk!

in Feralas u can pick up a q and need to go to Neeru Fireblade again, but do u need the insignia? i didnt toss it to find out...

The quest in Feralas that tells you to talk to Neeru again has NOTHING to do with the insignia. You don't need it after you complete the quests in Orgrimmar that require you to have it.

I had the same issue with the stone I picked up for the boss warlock in skull cave. I turned in the quest came back kill 1 warlock got insignia.

I just did this on my alt, and i got the Eye of Burning Shadow first, then it took an extra 30 kills to get the insignia, but i got both in 1 run

To TheUber YES you will actually need it later when you hit lvl 60 he will ask if you still got it hehe pretty nice then you get some xp and a q to travel to onyxias lair and find another one of them pretty nice

I went to get Fizzle's Claw for the quest "Dark Storms" and it dropped off one of his sidekicks. Complete surprise but a welcome bonus.

i'm lvl42 and still had it so i just dumped it. that seemed to do the trick cuz i didn't get it back. just r click on it, drag it out of your inventory and r click again. you get a message do you eant to destroy it and just click on yes.

this has worked on several quest items in dustwallow marsh that do no go away when the quest is completed. haven't seen this happen with any other area so i'm wondering if this is a problem with the new quests they added with the patch a while back.

I got the insignia to drop after roughly 40 kills from the mobs in the cave north east of Razor Hill.

I was wondering if it still existed now in 2019 classic... or of the questie addon was bugged which is why I am even on here in the first place.... but yeah it does actually exist. So just keep killing mobs, you will get it eventually.

Amusingly, apparently this can drop from the mobs in Thunder Ridge, the pack around Fizzle Darkclaw. I was pretty surprised.

Geez, I've been level 60 for a month and still had this in my bag. Was so sure I needed it for something. Guess not.
