As a ranged DPS, I had a lot of trouble with these guys when I started doing high keys. I couldn't find anything that talks about how to deal with Swift Stab so I'm trying to change that here.

The problem: Swift stab hits the furthest enemy for upfront and then ticking damage. Having more than one of these dots on a DPS at a time with no defensives will kill a DPS and does too much damage to be healed through.

Solution 1: Move fast. The charge aims for a static location. If you begin using a dash or blink before the charge is cast, you can move out of the target area and not take the hit. This will not work if you are just running at normal speed or start moving while they are charging.

Solution 2: Stop them from charging. It's a half-second cast so you won't be able to stop it reactively, but slappy hands, kyrian spear, blinding shot, and ring of peace will keep them together with the pack, unable to complete the charge.

Solution 3: CC. Frost trap and ring of frost will activate when charged onto, interrupting the charge. Also stuns will work but don't have enough uptime to have a meaningful impact on damage taken.

Solution 4: Pass the buck. The charge always targets the farthest player. If you have one dot on you and no way to avoid a second one, move into melee so that your teammates take the next charge.
