this is probably better for PvP but Bloodbath actually comes out ahead for PvE by a bit, and by a lot if it bypasses armor for the calculation of bleed dmg

I was going to pick Storm Bolt at first but then I saw this talent, not only will it give non-fury warriors a "Death Wish" again, but we'll all finally get the Avatar ability from WC3 :D

With any luck it'll make our character HUGE too!

1. It increases your size by 30% and doesn't stack with other size increasing effects (as expected).
2. It adds a light grey hue to your character. Naked it resembles the silverish colour of the Warcraft III ability, but with gear on it gets much darker, close to black or brown with some gear sets.
3. The transformation is preceded by a shout like animation and a small effect, similar to Recklessness.

It's not on the global cooldown and it has the same cooldown as , so you might as well save time and action bar room by macroing them together:

It's probably not a good idea to use this in PVP due to the situational mobility you get from intervening to your skull banner.

In MoP beta, Storm Bolt and Avatar were on different tiers, so I was going to roll a Dwarf Warrior and spec into Avatar and Storm Bolt and never use any abilities besides those and Thunder Clap. I was so disappointed when Blizzard changed it.

Level 90 Warrior Talents for beginners:

With the massive list of changes to Warrior in 5.4 (as well as the repeated nerfs to Avatar since MoP), a lot can factor in to which talent yields the best "overall" DPS and utility, and for players new to the Warrior class it can be confusing, such as whether you're Fury Warrior, Arms Warrior, or Protection Warrior, whether youre Titan's Grip: Single-Minded Fury (1 handers x2) or Titan's Grip (2 handers x2), whether you picked Bladestorm talent or not, whether you have and use the Cooldown Reduction Trinket(s), as well as the quantity, quality, and type of enemy (PvE vs PvP, Dungeon vs Raid, Single vs Multi targets, etc).

Avatar Unfortunately, has been nerfed down significantly since the release of MoP, and is generally only best in limited situations currently. Together with the longest cooldown of the Level 90 Talents, it mainly shines in situations where absolutely every ounce of burst counts, as it's a flat damage increase to all direct & indirect abilities, DoTs, and autoattacks for nearly a half minute, as well as a root/snare break; useful in very 'limited' Arena situations.

Here's a rough breakdown for complete newbies.
This list will ensure you're maximizing your Warrior as you continue to learn and hone your skills. Over time, as you master your Warrior, the talents will be purely up to you and your unique situation(s).

Rule of thumb for Level 90 Warrior Talents:

PvE (Dungeons/Raids):

Multi-Target: (multi adds / multi-bosses / cleave)

The stun of Storm Bolt, the semi-CC Break and burst of Avatar, and the Bleed/Snare of Bloodbath must be weighed against your team-mates' abilities, skill, roles, and team utility (CCs, Offensive/Defensive CDs, Heals, etc).
WPvP: (World PvP / Open world; non-instanced)
- Preventing being ganked / avoiding WPvP
--- Storm Bolt (Enough time to stun enemy and leave combat / mount up)
- Engaging or Ganking others intentionally in WPvP

Note: If attempting to engage intentionally in WPvP, always assess each situation / enemy as a unique encounter and decide on the best method of taking him/her down before engaging in combat.
Note from Main PvP Header (Fury / Fury Talents in PvP / WPvP)
--- Fury is just bad in legitimate / Rated PvP. Any talent is "viable" or passable, but due to their reliance on the enrage mechanic to trigger damaging attacks, as well as rage-starvation issues, it is not recommended to play Fury in PvP.
However, situationally in WPvP with heavy PvE gear, Fury has astonishing burst

Warning: If you are tanking Mark of Anguish in SoO, beware that Avatar WILL remove the mark from you, because it counts as a root. I learned this the hard way :(

Strange, I remembered that Avatar made you immune to all CCs. Including stuns in WC3.

It just doesn't make sense to me how Bladestorm makes you immune to stun (you're spinning around, I'd get a headache by doing that).
Yet in Avatar form, where you transform into a colossus, it doesn't make you immune to stuns?

I don't think Muradin would approve this.

PS. I still think that Avatar should possess at least more defensive bonuses than Bladestorm.

I used to always avoid this ability cause it just seems lorebreaking if you're not playing a dwarf but now it's baseline and the only damage buff available so I have to use it. I wish there were some sort of glyph that just makes it look like berserker rage with glowy red hands instead of turning into giant stone. My warrior is a human and he doesn't know magic (so even thunder stomp and shockwave are a bit of a stretch too) so it just seems a little too magical imo.
