Valor Currency Added to the 9.0.5 PTR - 750 Weekly and 1,500 Total Cap

This week's build added Valor to the 9.0.5 PTR, and
while we cannot yet actually upgrade items
, we have found a new NPC in Oribos and can see that the currency will have both a weekly and total cap. Ko'tul the Exchange Specialist is located next to the Great Vault and appears to sell crafting materials in exchange for valor.
Update
: It seems we can upgrade items on the PTR now, but because
items obtained pre-9.0.5 cannot be upgraded
, we need to get our hands on some new loot before we can test it fully! We'll update as soon as we get more information!
Although we don't yet know how much it costs to upgrade items, the current
weekly cap is 750 Valor
, with a
total cap of 1500
, meaning you can effectively bank two weeks worth of Valor before you have to spend some. As of right now, there is only one item sold by the vendor, granting

We've also found that daily Calling Quests award 35 Valor per completion, in addition to their other rewards - allowing 245 Valor per week, with the rest presumably coming from dungeons and raids. As of right now, we don't know if there's any kind of rolling cap or catch up involved however, so it may be important to make sure you farm as much as you can each week!
In another update, Valrysha reported receiving 135 Valor from completing a +6 Sanguine Depths on the PTR. No word on whether that is a flat number of scales based on the level of the keystone, but even at 135 per key, players would be able to cap weekly fairly quickly at 6 keys per week, or 4 keys and 7 days worth of Calling quests.
