Best Items to Upgrade for Affliction Warlock

Completing endgame activities in The War Within will award you with Harbinger Crests and Valorstones. You can use these currencies to upgrade items you obtain to their max potential (explained in this guide). Due to the more powerful items requiring the limited currency of Crests on a weekly lockout, it means your decision making early on can be difficult. In general, you want to prioritize items you've obtained at the highest upgrade track you can obtain, with the following criteria to decide on the item:

Strong TrinketsExplanation

Trinkets often vary in value and chase ones (such as Тенета мастера шпионажа) are often hard to obtain early on. It is best to sim your optimal upgrades using Raidbots, but high priority trinkets are always a strong first choice, depending on your Weapon situation.
Main Hand WeaponExplanation

This is your first priority to get high item level, but you do have an alternative option in crafting if you wish. If you get hold of a good enough option here, it may be better to do this and switch your Искра Знамения priority accordingly.
Lowest Item Level Pieces Explanation

Following key pieces, bringing up the item level of pieces you don't expect to get hold of at a higher item level in the near future to remove the Crest requirement is best. Ideally you should do Helm, Chest and Legs first due to their stat budget, but after that go off sims.

Best Crafted Gear for Affliction Warlock

Recommended Crafting Order

A Crafted Weapon (e.g. ]/] w/ Mastery and Critical Strike)

Your Искра Знамения items are required for crafting some of the most powerful The War Within equipment, so you should spend them wisely aiming to craft them at the highest possible item level. Note as well that you can always use the recrafting system later down the line if you want to upgrade pieces, so there's no need to hoard them if there's something big you can get now. These are time-gated, with you receiving one every two weeks, and can be upgraded all the way up to Item Level 636.

While there is a section below regarding Embellishments, your Искра Знамения crafts should aim to craft the highest impact item that's least likely to see a replacement from other sources due to their scarcity.

Best Embellishments

Using the optional Embellishment items when crafting your gear provides small extra benefits to the item should the craft be successful. These effects are often quite minor and mostly considered a cherry on top, your decision on what to craft should (generally) be dictated by the slot rather than these effects with some small exceptions. They are limited to two, so putting one on for your early crafts is free added performance. Details about each are as follows:

  This Embellishment grants a random secondary stat effect that stack in combat every 8 seconds. If you leave combat, the effect will drop, but will begin gaining stacks once re-entering combat. The effect is universally applicable in Mythic + and Raiding alike, making it a great overall choice.

  This embellishment doubles the effect of other Nerubian Embellishments, which Символ Новолуния "Вознесение" is! The effect is universally applicable in Mythic + and Raiding alike, making it a great overall choice.

  This Embellishment provides a damage based effect which deals damage based on the types of gems you have chosen for your gear. While it is technically our strongest single target embellishment, it has very little 2+ target value.
4. Рассветная подкладка Explanation
  
  Similar to Подкладка из синего шелка on Dragonflight, this Embellishment provides additional Critical Strike if you are above 80% health. The uptime of this effect will vary based on the encounter at hand, making it better/worse at times.

Isn't the alchemy haste+ int proc trinket also good for affli if you have neltharion trinket listed as the best? Aren't they quite the same?

Under the "Best Affliction Warlocks Trinkets in Dragonflight" breakdown Vessel of Skittering Shadows is listed as dropping in Waycrest Manor, which is inaccurate as said trinket actually drops from Atal'Dazar.

Might change ''shawl'' crafting choice since bullions likely spent on the rare cloak, nymue weapon and the rare dmg proc ring (maybe 2 rings and possible neck if we get more than 3 items?) to perhaps boot/belt slot and just roll with two shadowflames as 90%hp upkeep is rather tough in most scenarios for the uptime on mastery buff items. Boot and/or belt slot seems to make sense here along with wrists as jewelry might be bought with bullions for those shield and dmg procs.

I'm curious why flare-singed strap is listed as BiS dungeon waist drop when both Lost Hero's wast Wrap and Sky Saddle Cord are dungeon drops that give Haste and Mastery, both of which are better stats than Crit/Vers for aff lock?
