This is the first of a 6 boss "event" quest series. The quest requires level 65 to pick up and can be found at The Ring of Blood, just west of the Laughing Skull ruins. You will need a group of 4-5 for this, the more the better. Note that the first person to pick up the quest WILL have intial agro, have the tank pick it up first.

This first fight is against a level 65 elite clefthoof and really isn't a very tough fight. It's a single mob: tank, dps, heal, win.

this is a fairly easy set of quests if you have a good tank. You definitely need 5 people. One nice thing is there are often tons of other people waiting around and will help you take down the boss. The 5th boss the War Champion is by far the hardest, you basically need to just non-stop spam heal the tank. But over all, very easy, 20 minutes for 80k xp, 90g, and a great quest reward. Definitely worth doing

There is no way this set of quests could suck any more if there are other groups waiting. Especially if you are alliance and they're horde (or vice versa). If you're lucky and the other group is nice, groups can help each other (have to kill mobs twice, but still nice to work together). We had the other alliance group tell us, "Hey bud, just gotta click faster."

Be aware that all the Ring of Blood quests behave like escort quests, and you have to turn them in before you die or log off otherwise they'll come back as failed.

I got a little inpsired, so i tried to solo this as a warlock:

First, I enslaved Felguard Legionnaire in Forge Camp:Hate(don't forget to use Curse of Shadows when enslaving). Then I accepted the quest and let the felguard tank the Brokentoe. I used about every cooldown I had(didn't have to use SS/HS though, did it on my first try) I got him down to around 8%, when the Felguard died, so I had to quickly finish him. Luckily, I took about 2 hits.

Also, you don't have to worry about aggro, as Felguard creates extreme amounts of threat. :) Trinket + Amp. Curse + Curse of Doom work great here.

The ring was difficult, make sure u have a full group and a GOOD healer. The first three i would say were decent in terms of difficulty but the others really made you work but the Reward was well worth it

I would recommend everyone that does not need any of the quest rewards wait till they are lvl 70 to do this quest chain.

At level 70 you will get 118g 23s from the whole quest chain, and 10g50s for selling Honed Voidaxe quest reward.

Total gold for this chain is 128g 73s.

Brokentoe is an extremely simple battle. Simply allow the tank a few attacks to increase their threat if you have Cloth-wearing classes (Priests, Warlocks, Mages) providing the DPS. It's very important because, regardless of the simplicity of the battle, he hits hard on Clothies. I did this with three 66 Frost Mages (Me and two others), a 70 Hunter, a 67 Paladin (Protection specced). We had a Restoration Shaman (not in the group) dedicated to healing the tank ONLY. This became much easier when another alliance group came to finish all 6 fights, so we had a lot of help. This is some of the easiest gold you'll make if you can gather enough people.

do it with a group: 70 prot war, 70 arms war, 65 feral dru, 66 shama(as healer, but without healing gear) and 66 hunter. all bosses expect the last are easy and killable, last boss have strong sttack and nice DPS.. 2 of us die at him..

We just finished this with a lvl 70 eleshaman tanking it. I was the healer, and I'm an enhancement shaman, so you can see that it wasn't really that... easy :S

However the point I wanna make is make sure there are no gankers around. This level 70 alliance rogue came and killed me while we were fighting the third and final boss, and it really sucks. Funny thing was our tank's chain lightning killed the noob, but still, if you're a party of 65s and such it would mean a wipe. So yeah, careful out there :P

soloed this as a 65 MM hunter, just keep mend pet up and before you start put down a freezing trap so that once you use it the CD is done, not worth it though as it takes a very long time. also keep aspect of the viper on. also had to use http://www.wowhead.com/?item=10720 twice.

This questline was easily done by me (70 prot warrior - newly dinged, not very good gear) and a healer (70 shammy healer - although I'm sure any healer would do). Allow the healer to dps untill you're low life. Make sure you use your shield wall and shield block abilities. Guess they nerfed it in patch 3.0.2 :)

Every so often I go out to Nagrand and run people though the Ring of Blood quests for 20g per person. On my server there is usually a good turn out, i can easily get four people that want the quest and 80g for around 10min of waiting and doing the quest is nice.

I just completed the quest chain and this is what I got from it;

Exp:
130'075
(Worth approximately 27% of your total experience requirement for 65-66)

Items:

Ten Super Healing Potions
Ten Super Mana Potions
Twenty Heavy Netherweave Bandage
Honed Void Axe

Gold:
67 gold pieces and 20 silver pieces.

Note: This was completed as a level 65 Draenei shaman with both heirloom shoulders and chest.
Note number two: This was completed by the help of a level 80 Human death knight.

This is very easily soloable by a feral druid, especially with Improved Leader of the Pack.
It was pretty cute watching the 65-67 Hordies run up and /inspect me, seeing as I was probably "?" to them.

Just a quick heads up as this doesn't seem to have been posted.

This questline requires you to first be 'Neutral' with the Kurenai. I found this out after coming to do this quest as soon as I turned level 65, having completed no quests in Nagrand and was unable to pick it up.

I advise you to first complete http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9917 and http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9918 in order to gain the 'Neutral' standing. This is one of the first available quests from Telaar, and can easily be completed in 5 minutes.

Easily 2 manned this quest with a 66 resto shammy(me) and a prot pally. The clefthoof hits very soft so i could throw in some lightning bolts to speed this up.

Soloed this with my 68 ret pally, though as stated this fight isn't that hard with a group but alone its kind of a pain in the ass. You can do it alone with a ret pally for sure, seal of light, flash of light, judgement of light, and art of war are your best friends though. Start the fight out with hand of reckoning to aggro the beast then use judgement of light, followed by divine storm and then crusaders strike, then use flash of light whenever you see art of war pop up no matter what forget exorcism beyond the first wave of your attacks because after that you have to stick with that cycle I described. Use your lay on hands or divine shield when your health gets really low and proceed with the cycle. make sure to have some super healing potion or super mana potion in hand just in case and maybe a stamina scroll would help as well (definitely super healing potion though). Try to save your lay on hands or divine shield for that oo *!@# situation which will happen, but try to at least hold that off until the beast is at half health or something. Forget using stuns since its immune to everything. At the end use hammer of wrath whenever it pops up and your done, but still maintain the cycle of judgement of light, divine storm, and crusader strike, and heal whenever you need with either holy light or flash. But definitely forget trying to do the other events after this one alone. oh and almost forgot when the monster does his stomp use your hand of freedom immediately and pop some flash of light then a holy light if you need it.

I just easily soloed this with a level 65 Discipline Priest.

What you need to do is shield up, and put DoTs and do some damaging spells, when the shield is broken you heal yourself and shield up again. If you do that rotation the whole time, this encouter will be no problem for you!

You can solo this with a hunter if you are careful, but it may take a few tries.

Just constantly spam the mend pet button and make sure you have a tank pet with all the defense talents. Your pet will get nowhere in dealing him damage though, and will just be taking damage so every other time you need to use one of your instant cast spells. Never stop using mend pet. If you use something that isn't an instant cast your pet will die and he will soon go after you. Then you will die.

I soloed this quest with my Goblin warlock lvl 69. it took me a couple of tries, but i got it in the end.
It is possible to solo it, but you will need to lay out a tactic, and it is a good idea, that if you don't have a pet, then get someone to help you.

Similar to a previous poster, I too was feeling inspired and thought I'd have a go at Brokentoe.

66 Ehancement Shaman - OK gear.

tbh was fairly straightforward.

Earth elemental totem up. Ele tanked him until he was at about 35%.

Kept Flame shock up on him periodically and got both trinkets in (AP).

Last 5% was a little hairy (spam healing) but just about got there.

Was fun...

I've only just returned to the game from a long absence - never even got to WOTLK. My main (Pala) would have had no chance against this guy in BC, at the same level!

Guess we're all OP now!

Easily soloable as a ret pala (lvl 65)... the self-heals what paladin can do are just too good and Exorcism so powerful that I have yet to lose to a mob :)

Soloed this as a level 74 Demonology Warlock. It's pretty easy.

Summon your Voidwalker and make him start the fight. Keep Health Funnel on him often, and Drain Life or use a Healthstone to regain fuel (yes, I'm calling health "fuel" because that's what life is to a warlock). Throw in a Summon spell or two when he's capped on health. It took only one try.

As opposed to almost all others here I did not easily solo him. I did manage to tame him first and uplifted tried the battle afterwards, but failed fast and furious.
I am: A lvl75 BM hunter, likes dinnerdates, redwine and going out for cinema and nightclubs
Brokentoe: Likes to kill amatuer hunters, has ~34K hit points, hits for 1000-1500 HP and wipes a** with pets

Dating machine: No match

If you're struggling like I was with these quests in Chromie Time, get to level 35 (by doing just Terrokar and the rest of Nagrand I was able to get enough xp) and then do the quest outside of chromie time instead. It's kind of a hassle to fly there and back again but you will bulldoze them and they will barely hit you, instead of the other way around.

For people that can't solo and have a high level friend or a 2nd account with a high level character AND are having trouble seeing each other:

Make sure both characters are in the 'present timeline' OR are in the same Chromie time.
