Got stuck: couldn't turn in, mount up, log off, or exit game. Exited Recap and was able to pick it up again and complete it at the Tome in Pornogal.

Im stuck on "Consult the Tome to learn more about Arathis fight" even when relogging, or picking up quest again.

Any ideas?

im stuck in the quest " Return to Dornogal " went i move to Dornogal Merrixx is not there and i can't continue the story.

I'm stuck on both "Return to Dornogal" and the part "Consult the Tome to learn more about Arathis fight", logging in or out doesn't solve it nor does abandoning the quests. Hours wasted </3

Update: I tried the whole questline again on an alt since 12.0.0 update, and it worked flawlessly, so it seems to be fixed :)

A temporary workaround for the bug where you are unable to speak to Merrix, until Blizzard resolves the issue:

You need to go to Silithus and progress a few questlines in the regular campaign, ending with the The First Blow questline.
You must complete the final quest (Recompense) in the The First Blow questline.

After this, Merrix should no longer be phased, and you should be able to turn in the Return to Dornogal quest.

This process may take a little time, and some of the recap quests will need to be completed again. However, my girlfriend and I were able to complete them within an hour.

I'm stuck at "Aid Alleria, Anduin, and Faerin" after previously being stuck at "Return to Dornogal". The Workaround for Return to Dornogal was to run the full campaign back to a certain point to unlock Merrix.

Then it got stuck again at this point and I haven't found a workaround for that yet. I did Exit the recap and try again from the Dornogal Tome, my character ends up just stuck behind the Tome in this case and there's no progression. So that doesn't work.

Catch Up has been buggy for a lot of folks and blizz doesn't seem to care.

For new and returning players that are stuck at RECAP “Return to Dornogal”. This is because you have not completed the quest line in the traditional way. You need to completely drop the recap. Then go through the entire storyline beginning with the intro quest at Silithus.

Once you finish the first chapter, you’ll be able to fly in, and port in and out of Dornogal.

I was stuck on this too. Twice through - no Tome appeared, dropped the quest, started again same results.
Then I noticed that there is a RECAP bar above your objectives on the right side of your screen. The little yellow speech bubble lets you 'consult the tome'.
Doesn't matter if you can see the tome or not - consult it and proceed in the storyline.

Having trouble completing this? Open the quest log while you have the recap quest active and abandon it. Not via the book but the journal-menu.

Edit: Be sure to look for the Recap bar above your quest objectives list in your UI.

Para los que se han quedado atascados, solo no se adelanten a nada, el libro los lleva siempre al lugar donde deberían estar para iniciar o completar la misión, en la sub tarea "Consulta el Tomo para saber más sobre la lucha de Arathi." esperen a que el libro termine de contar la historia y los teletransportara al poblado de Mereldar, no se adelanten volando por que entonces la subtarea no queda completa y tendrán que reiniciar la misión que inicia Cristalia.

Still happening on 12.0.1.

Got stuck twice, at different points. The last time at the Consult the tome like other comments suggests. Nothing fixed it for me. I'm not doing it a 3rd time. This beign still buggy is nuts... I'm dropiing it sadly.

I'm stuck at "Aid Alleria, Anduin, and Faerin. It keeps telling me that I don't meet the requirements for the dungeon. I'm a level 80 character.

Still bugged. I managed to do the entire quest, but once I was done I realized I never got credit for the step "Consult with the Tome of History on the crash in Azj-Kahet". Is there really no workaround?

All you have to do is click on the message icon on the Recap banner to the right above the quests and it will bring the Tome back so you can consult with it.

Description
