Abandon, return to Silvermoon. Pick the quest from Umbric, go back to Magister's Terrace entrance by the meeting stone. If you've completed the quest already follow quest dialog to queue for follower dungeon and you will now get credit and can return back to Silvermoon to progress.

Doing this dungeon on normal mode, DOES work for the quest

Make sure to fly out to the Isle of Quel'Danas and talk to Magister Umbric FIRST before queuing into the dungeon or else you won't get quest credit.

Have you noticed that little "then" in the quest objective, which isn't there in any other dungeon quest? Yeah, well, if you're here then there's a good chance you didn't. And yes, you will have to do the dungeon again. Thanks Blizz.

I don't know why Blizzard continues to put dungeons in the main questline... Some of us can't do them well and even with followers the trash is wiping the floor with me. Lvl 90 iLvl 172... I just don't get it ;(

I mean, apart from the quest design that made some of us run the dungeon twice, and follower dungeons in midnight not being trivial (or at least scaling weirdly) and taking some time - can we talk about the fact that we just broke into a building complex in Silvermoon and killed everyone, like it is a normal thing to do when you don't get what you want by asking? And after that, nobody even shrugs... I guess nobody liked that Seranel Sunlash guy anyway.
The writing in Midnight is just all over the place...

Not sure if it's of interest to anyone, but when talking to Magister Umbric outside the dungeon entrance, there is an additional dialogue option for Void Elves only, to "tell Umbric you understand the feeling". It reads:

"Thank you, .

I hope you do not regret the path that led you here with me. If you'll forgive me a moment of sentimentality... I'm very happy you're here.

We've lost many along the way. Those who have succumbed to the Void, those that have lost themselves in the madness...

But you are here. If ever you doubt your strength, your resilience, remember:

You are here. And that is enough.

Thank you."

This is SUCH a drag. Using the followers, it takes FOREVER and there is sooo much trash which the followers like to pull every bit they can. Even wiped once on it.

You are searching for this exact comment - yes, you MAY ignore followers; just do a normal dungeon.

For ages, it has mystified us by revealing unreachable pathways to infinite unknowns. My research tells me I can use it to open a path to the storm. There's just one problem: it's in Magisters' Terrace. As you know, , we ren'dorei are not exactly... in their good graces, at the moment."

Once you have done the Magister's Terrace quest on one character, you do NOT have to do it again for an alt to get to Voidstorm.

Meet Magister Umbric on the Isle of Quel'Danas, then complete the Magisters' Terrace dungeon.

Description
