I've never found the Windfuries to the southeast. There is a large group of them to the northwest though, levels 7-8. They are north of the dig site.

They are tucked in the bottom right corner of the map.

The drop rate is sort of low, but it's good grinding xp.

Drop rate isn't good - about 1 in 3-4, and they take a while!

It might be worth noting that the drop rate for the talons has been bumped to 100%. This quest is best done alongside of The Restless Earth since the harpies and elementals are right next to each other.

Description

You have obviously reached an age when you must prepare for your trials if you are to adventure much further out of Mulgore.

If you wish a test of your strength, start by seeking out the Windfury harpies to the southeast. They nestle along the mountain's edges away from the road.

They are one of our natural enemies here in Mulgore and will be a good gauge of your skill.
