I'm guessing that the "Requires Level" is wrong as I'm 62 65 67 and the quest is not available..... unless there is some other prerequisite quest/chain that needs doing?

You acquire three pets via this short quest chain -- Lubbins, Shyfly, and Mister Toots.

Even at level 70, this did not unlock for me until I turned in the final main campaign quest in Valdrakken, at which point this quest immediately became available to me from Jyhanna in the daycare. It also appears you can get this quest earlier than 70 once you finish the campaign.

Can't confirm for sure but it does appear that you have to complete the main campaign to have this quest become available.

If you have avoided learning Battle Pet Training on your account (maybe in protest like me), completing this quest will automatically train you in it with no warning.

Not something I will raise a fuss about, since I don't care so much after all these years, but it surprised me.

I can confirm that you -must- complete the main story that'll lead you into getting the achievement Just Don't Ask Me to Spell and upon getting the achievement, the quest Oh Where, Oh Where Can He Be? from Jyhanna will become available.

Based on other comments, I did an experiment. Just before turning in the final quest in the campaign, I checked with Jyhanna and there was no quest available. I turned in the quest, received the "Just Don't Ask Me to Spell It" achievement, then flew back over & voila, there was the quest! I'm level 68. This confirms to me that completing the main campaign is what triggers this quest to become available.

This is the start of a quest chain that introduces you to Pet battles that leads to getting two battle pets and tokens to raise them to level 25

I got the last achievement and ran thru the whole questline, but no lubbins? He's in my book as unlearned. I've reloaded, relogged. Shut the whole thing down and back up..even rebooted the Pc (hard reboot) Anyone else?

If you're an idiot like me trying to get the achievement for Shyfly on an alt, check the questline. I redid all of the daily storylines, every single soujourner and campaign quest and sideline quests I could think of and came across "A Practice Bout" in Iskaara. I am not sure when I started the questline on this character or if it skipped, but just don't be dumb like me and waste time when the quest was already here, just further in than the inital starting quest from Jyhanna. My GOODNESS. Smh.

I want to acquire Lubbins, all the related battle pets, and achieve the Daycare achievements.

However.

I just started Dragonflight, and while I can easily fly to Valdrakken, of course the quests necessary for Lubbins aren't offered. (I'm level 70 if that helps).

Apparently I need to do a quest chain first, and then the To Valdrakken storyline, but before that I need the Calling the Blue Dragons storyline, and before that... (ARGH!)

Is there no way to skip right to the Daycare quests? I'm just a battle pet collector, I don't have the time or interest to actually play this game!

Any ideas?

<name>, I am glad to see you! I am worried sick and could use your help. Recently, I rescued an abandoned proto-drake whelp. I named him Lubbins because he is so lovely! I brought him here to care for him and hopefully find him a good home as someone's pet. But now he is missing, and I am concerned that he is lost or hurt. I need to keep watch over the rest of my little ones, otherwise I would go searching for him myself. Would you please look for him?
