Don't just click and mount up. Make sure you stay and wait for the dialog to tell you that the seed has matured.

You don't have to wait; click the soil and move on to the next one.

For A Better Start when you interact with the Fertile Soil you do not have to stay and wait for it to mature (5-10 seconds). Just mount up and move to the next one. When you interact with the last one mount up and ride back to Adazius and it will be ready to turn in as you approach.

After this quest i thought Adazius bugged, but i found out you just need to go to Akora /way #2022 60.2 66.4 Akora

In order to get A Better Start, I had to do a couple of quests for Vaeros first (next to him).

I completed this quest and didn't get credit towards sojourner of the waking shores, I tried going to Akora but nothing happened. Anybody have any idea?

At 70, this quest is marked "low level" and no longer shows up by default.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Ruby Lifecalling. This Storyline is part of Sojourner of the Waking Shores which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Quests in order I done:

1. A Ruby Lifecalling - Quest start 61.88 40.52. On table will be 4 items press on them one by one.
2a. Nursery Direction - Go to See Vaeros 55.28 63.51 ( follow for quests 9a, 9b and 11 )
2b. Garden Party - Fly to Akora and do Quests for him 60.20 66.42 ( follow for quest 5-8 )
2c. Hornstrider Havoc - Go to see Dazakros 53.41 58.42 ( Follow for quests 12+ )
5. Flowers of our Labor - You need to do 3 things:
- 5 Fragrant Dragonflower flowers on ground press on them and kill flowers
- 5 Lush Seed Pod pick up from ground.
- 5 Ripened Dragonfruit are on tree press on them to use Trusty Dragonkin Rake and then they will drop on ground.
Then go 60.27 66.41 and press on 3 Baskets.
6. Huddle at the Hollow - Go to 65.32 63.65
7. Hornswoggled! - Throw Jar of Fireflies on 8 Bullied Frog and pick them up.
8. Home Is Where the Frogs Are - Go to 60.25 66.42 and press on Croaking Frog Carrier.
9a. Leave Bee Alone - Use Smoke Diffuser on bees and them pick 8 of them. Then go 56.94 70.62 and use extra bar.
9b. Just a Trim - Prune 5 Overgrown Shrubs. Who first Trim grass will get count.
11. A Better Start - Press on 6 Fertile Soil can we find around pool.
12a. Deluge Dilemma - Slay 12 Water Elementals
12b. Beaky Reclamation - Heal 8 Injured Hornstrider - They respawn very fast after finishing this quests Storyline will finish.

The NPC dialogue that takes place during this quest:

Lasztak can be seen, still pleading with a tiny Bronze Whelpling to come down from a nearby tree.

Lasztak says: Please come down. Most of the bees are gone now! Look, I have your favorite--candied skitterflies!

Adazius says: You do realize that the whelplings will hide in the trees on purpose once you begin bribing them with sweets, yes?

Vaeros says: Come now, Adazius. The little ones deserve a treat after all the stress they have been through. Maybe yours would enjoy a snack as well?

Adazius says: Certainly not. They are busy enjoying their books on advanced draconic poetics like proper young dragons.

<Vaeros sighs quietly.>

The player sets out to plant seeds into the Fertile Soil around the Ruby Life Pools, and is given assistance by the nearby gardeners and various bronze dragons.

Lifetending Gardener says: Pardon the expression, bronze one, but do you have a moment to help?
Erzadormu says: You're fortunate I always keep some sands of time in my pocket. It has many uses, you know.

Lifetending Gardener says: If you have time to spare, dear dragon, we could use your aid.
Midormi says: Just this one time, dear. Well, probably more than that.

Lifewarding Gardener says: Your timelessness, would you mind helping speed things along?
Peledormu says: I just returned from a timeline where an orc did this... Promise you aren't starting an army, okay?

Lifetending Gardener says: Most esteemed dragon, might we borrow you briefly?
Yvendormi says: Not that I expect you to appreciate it, but the expertise in temporal calculus required to shift dimensional matrices forward this accurately took several thousand years to acquire.

Lifewarding Gardener says: Our bronze friend, could you lend us a hand with this sapling's growth?
Veladormi says: You have asked me to do this in seventeen timelines so far. This one is by far the worst.

Lifewarding Gardener says: Excuse us, friend, but could you donate a bit of your power to a good cause?
Taeredormu says: What a novel idea! I've been tempted to do this to the whelps once or twice.

The player returns to Adazius, letting him know that the task he requested has been finished.

Vaeros says: That was kind of you, Adazius. Thank you for helping us keep the gardens safe.

Adazius says: It was in my own best interest. My daughters beg to return here every time we leave, promising to do their reading if I allow it, and thus it behooves me to ensure they will not be in danger.

Vaeros says: Ah, so they are the ones bribing you?

Adazius says: Quiet yourself before I send the adventurer to bring the bees back.

In the background, it can be seen that poor Lasztak finally managed to get the mischievous whelp to come down.

Lasztak says: No more skitterflies! You are going to ruin your dinner.

I was not able to complete the quest because the soils stopped being interactive when I had 5/6.

Edit: While I was writing this comment they became interactive again.

Every time I do this quest I can't help but to think that the gardeners are so overly polite and considerate toward the dragons in their requests for help, and the dragons mostly come across as entitled jerks.

Description

Vaeros is diligent, but whelps have a way of finding trouble. Not mine, of course--but I suppose not every dragon rears their clutch to understand the gravity of their station. While I am loathe to encourage outdoor play over study, I will help you safeguard the garden more effectively. Take these seeds and plant them nearby. When mature, the blooms produce a fragrance that insects find disagreeable. The gardeners can help you--and maybe my bronze brethren, if you mind your manners.
