While I found out after I had completed the quest, I was successfully able to party sync and tame me two sneks using party sync with a guild mate! Thank you for the tip, Wowhead.

I have to find a nightfae hunter. I already did this quest and didn't realized it wouldn't pop back up. Gotta get snek.

Dambala would not spawn for me. I could see other players (stags) attacking thin air, but there was nothing to target. (Wasn't phased or in a group or anything). Walking out, leaving vehicle and going back had no effect. Had to re-start quest.

As expected nothing useful about how to kill the Snake solo.

All I can say is he hits hard and summons 4 adds that hit like trucks too.

my ret pally dies fast guess I'll have to look for useful advice elsewhere..... nothing new there though.

Just a heads up, if you die on this quest it's over 1000 yards to get back to your body.... solid game design :(

I couldn't get the extra action bar to spawn either. I used the Night Fae talent "Soulshape" and it appeared.

Just a small point of interest for people doing this quest -

If you use the stag extra action ability its a good quick fight. However if you use alot of keybinds and decide to use the stag ability keybinds be extremely carefull that you do not bump another key. I was just doing this on a fresh mage alt and bumped a non stag keybind it removed me out of stag and no longer presented the option to get back into stag. As such i died practically immediately and am now doing a massive corpse run.

The gating on this is a new low. Didn't know the pet was exclusive or available during the chapter until after I'd completed it, and now no one can help me

As of May 16, the casters summon about 5 shadows each cast for a total of 50+ (it's hard to tell exactly how many) and ALL of them attack you at once, killing you almost instantly. I am not seeing any action bar at all at this point, so I have no idea how to survive.

Blizzard messed up this quest a LOT unless there's some hidden action item that I'm mystically supposed to find. It's not on the quest itself, and it's not one of those hovering buttons that usually appears when there's a special action.

IF YOU ARE A SLAIN SOUL OR OTHERWISE WALKING IT

the entry root-bridge to the Dusky Hollow is located at 67.89 61.51 a bit eastward of Hibernal Hollow.
And by "a bit" I mean a distance as large as the word "HOLLOW" on the map.

You'll have to exit the hollow and head a bit north, and come around the crumbly edge of the world to get to this point. Don't try to come straight, there's a lot of Not There in the mists to fall into.

With flying now in the game its now easy to miss the trigger if you fly in above to the "Slay Dambala" location, make sure you go back through the tunnel on foot and the extra action button should pop up when you stand in the correct location.
If it doesnt pop up but you're still in the right location infront of Dambala you can always just macro extra action button to something or use "/click ExtraActionButton1" in chat.

The extra action bar never appeared on its own for me so I ended up just going toe to toe with this thing and barely living (arcane mage in ~232 ish greens). I would've liked to know beforehand that soulshape might make it appear, as what actually happened was Lady Moonberry went "Quickly, cast the spell!" and nothing happened.
