Ignore the map marker for quest turn in, it is wrong. Micro Zoox is just outside the instance portal for Gnomeregan.

Pick up this quest from Tizzy Gearjolt outside Dana Pull's store in Boralus at 50, 46.8.

As a Horde player, do not walk into the dungeon/instance as you will be teleported to Grom'gol when you leave. You need to speak to Micro Zoox to go to the pet battle.

As a horde player the easiest way I found to get there was...

-- go to Grom'gol Base Camp in Nothern Stranglethorn
-- take the teleporter into Gnomeregan (goblin teleporter located on the ground near the camp entrance)
-- create a custom group and instantly leave it **
-- wait a minute to get teleported out of the dungeon

You spawn right before the NPC. Easy peasy!

**How to create a custom group:
-- open the Group Finder and select "Premade Groups"
-- select "Custom" and "Start a Group"
-- type a name and description
-- click on "List Group"
-- right click your character portrait and choose the option "Leave Party"
-- wait a minute and you will get a message that you will be teleported to the nearest graveyard

Just to clear up things for anyone else who comes here (like I did) to see if you need to turn in the quest before leaving the instance, you actually turn in the quest back where you picked it up, outside the instance. I hunted long and hard before I asked Micro Zoox to get me out of there for fear that I'd have to do the entire dungeon over again to get my initial reward. Couldn't find anything definitive, so took a chance and left. Luckily, they did this one right. I've gotten bitten a number of times (not necessarily in pet dungeons, but in other dungeons) by leaving and then discovering that I should have turned in the quest first. Hope this helps someone else.

- Looks like you have to be 120 to get this quest. My level 112 Warrior couldn't see it but when I logged on my 120 Hunter, she could.

- My 112 Warrior could see the golden question mark for turn in when she was down there doing the Bert daily. I tried to complete the quest but I got the error message: "You are not high enough level for that quest."

- My 112 could not enter the scenario either. This time I got the error message: "You do not meet the requirements for the chosen dungeon."

This is kind of disappointing to me. I level the majority of my alts doing the pet battle dailies.

Anyone looking for exact coordinates once inside Gnomeregan, /way 31.98, 71.34. The opposite direction from the minimap guide.

Just to clear this up..because I was confused...

You do go down the tunnel, to the elevator, go down the elevator, get off it, and turn left when you run through the short corridor. Run past the pet battle quest and keep going down the tunnel. The ? is in the wrong place when you are not near the dungeon entrance.

For those who do not know how to create a custom group:

Open the Group Finder and select "Premade Groups".
Select the option "Custom" and "Start a Group"
Then type a name and description (I just used a . and it worked fine)
Click on "List Group"
Right click your character portrait and choose the option "Leave Party"
Give it a moment and you will get the message that you will be teleported to the nearest graveyard.
You will respawn right in front of the NPC

Tizzy doesn't even OFFER the quest "Trouble in Gnomeregan". What are the requirements? I am already 120 and have enough lvl 25 pets. Also, am EXALTED with gnomer. so wtf?

I was not able to find Micro Zoox, eventhough many others found the solution in the above comments. I looked everywhere for him and eventually gave up. Now after finishing the G.E.A.R Up-quest line, for unlocking the *Heritage of Gnomeregan" I checked again, and he was there. So I suppose the conclusion is you have to at least finish that questline if you want to complete the "Trouble in Gnomeregan" quest

I don't know if they changed something, but as Horde I'd forgotten about the teleporter in Grom'Gol. Instead I took a flight to Thorium Point in Burning Steppes and flew the rest of the way. The guards were only level 60. They aggroed, I ran away for a short distance and then killed the three that were still chasing. The second try, I just few into the door over their heads. They did not aggro. I took the elevator; the guards/npcs (level 60) did not aggro. I ran around the bend to the entrance and talked to Zoox. Easy.

Seems that this is still bugged. I checked all my alts that are 60. None have any quests from Tizzy. I did the gnome heritage cosmetic armor quest chain. Still no quest for the pet battle in Gnomer. I checked my horde alt and he can get the quest from radek. I do not even see quests for BRD strat et al. I did wailing caverns and deadmines without issue. What gives? I am exalted with them.

Find Micro Zoox outside of Gnomeregan in Dun Morogh.

Description

Some strange spikes of electric usage have been happening in Gnomeregan recently. We need you to investigate what is going in there as soon as possible. We've received contact from one of the chief engineers in charge of keeping things in Gnomeregan under control, and he has offered to assist us in getting inside to see what's going on.
