If you have the portal to the Twilight Vineyards in Shal'Aran, do yourself a favor and use the port to get to the spot you need to be.

The phasing for this quest is horrible. You have to stand on the grass ledge to see the npcs and questitem, but once you get close to loot everything phases away.

Thousand-Year Arcwine can be found east of the Twilight Vineyard entrence.

You'll see three guards and a few npcs with the quest item in the middle.

You have to jump down a level from where the rest of the vineyards are. Three guards, just loot a barrel from the ground and you're done.

As of today (5th Sept 2016), if you also have Vengeance for Margaux the wine is phased out and you can't see it or loot it. Complete Vengeance for Margaux first and then run back and you'll be able to see the wine once more and complete the quest.

This quest is still glitched on Live (9/6/16) where you will phase out just as you get close to the item you need to loot.

To fix the glitch you need to complete the quest to open the nearby portal to Twilight Gardens and then come back.

Thanks for the location data....I kept looking too low (underneath the actual location). Anyhow, as a DH, just get close to the guards, /cast Sigil of Misery pick up item, and move back to ledge while guards are still stunned, and Shadowmeld out of sight and then re disguise yourself......other than the looking around, nothing can be simpler.

To save you all a ton of pain on this quest use the following information:

#1 Use the portal to Twilight Vineyards in Shal'Aran. This should be unlocked if you are on this quest but if it somehow has not been unlocked yet then be aware you must be Honored with The Nightfallen faction to unlock this portal first. If these things are not done yet, I would work up your rep to Honored before attempting this quest. More information on unlocking this portal here: Teleport: Twilight Vineyards

#2 After taking the Twilight Vineyards portal in Shal'Aran, Masquerade yourself and then head west following the arrow in your minimap leading to the quest objective the arcwine.

#3 You will notice you are on an upper level above the Arcwine. You need to jump down to get to the Arcwine. There are about 6 NPC mobs down there and one with the detection spell so you will have to fight some mobs. Don't worry only 3 of them will attack you, be prepared enough to take out 3 average 110 mobs.

#4 After killing the 3 a couple run away but the last one will say something like I'm outta here and run off. Then pick up the 1000-year old Arcwine.

#5 Go to the turn in point on the other end of Suramar

P.S. Getting to some specific locations in Suramar is a huge pain in the you know what, no wonder they had to have a bunch of portals.

The phase problem is not fixed. I have been stuck on this quest for over a week and will be way behind my fellow raiders due to the fact I will not be able to complete this quest.

You have to go to 53.4 54.6 point, thats in Twilight Vineyard. You can run through the city or just teleport to Vineyard through a portal. There you'll se next casks of vine and few mobs, slain them, pick one and get back to Arluin. Also, hate that city, it's hard to navigate throuh.

if u dont want to go back and take the portal, just go to the entrance of the this area and go left as u will find a stairs take it and keep going to higher ground till u find the arcwine .

If you're heading to the quest zone from the giver, it's very easy to get stuck trying a direct route.

Much easier to get out of Suramar altogether, head back in from Crimson Thicket direction, and as Ascor said /way 53.4, 54.4 is your spot. Jump down, easy kill, quest done. Then just glide back in the direction of the giver.

As a bonus though, while I was lost in the Menagerie, Nighteyes gave me an awesome little side quest chain

I found it much easier to go from Crimson Thicket and just follow the road down to twilight highlands. No aggro from mobs including those flying ones as you go through from the portal. Just walk over and jump down. Easy peasy

The easiest way to get to the turn in:
1: Flight masters whistle to Crimson Thicket
2: Fly to Meredil
3: Go to Shal'Aran
4: Portal to Waning Crescent
5: Ride North

After getting killed a half-dozen times trying to head toward the spot marked on the map because I was in the elite-infested area, I got fed up and was leaving the city when I found a MUCH easier way to get the cask. If you don't have the portal in the Vineyard and can't fly:

1. Enter Suramar City at the NW entrance from the paved road from Meredil.
2. Dawn your disguise and head a short way into the city until you intersect with the Grand Promenade - the roadway just inside the outer peripheral road and turn left (east). You'll pass under an Ancient Defender.
3. Stay on the Grand Promenade, avoiding/killing sentries, until you approach /way 43.45, 54.39
4. Keep watching your minimap to make sure you don't get turned around and stay parallel to the outer ring.
5. When you get close, you'll see baddies in red, the good guys, and your quest item.
6. Kill the baddies, let the good guys escape and grab the keg.
7. Retrace your steps to get back to the main thoroughfare and turn in!

This quest was an absolute nightmare-- whomever designed Suramar City's quests needs to be either 1- fired, or 2- taken out back behind the tool shed and beaten absolutely senseless.

1) If you're in the city, use your flight whistle to get out
2) Meredil is close, but if you do go to another place, go to Meredil and run back into Shal'Aran to the portals
3) Use the portal to Twilight Vineyards
4) Put on your masquerade ability and go west by northwest (watch the mobs, duck and dodge or kick ass if needed)
5) Hit the main road between the city and woods
6) run down and drop off the side and head to /way 53.49, 54.50 to get the item

You'll have to do a lil bit of fighting, and I used a Goblin Glider to jump off the side, aimed towards the turn in, Path of Frost (DK) and mounted up, ran over for the turn in.

By this point though, I was ready to tell ARLUIN to kiss my *** as I could have kept my 800 mana and avenged her faster my damned self.

Description

I'm not rich in anything but information, but maybe that can be of use to someone with your skills. You helped me, now you can help yourself. The Magistrix receives a daily shipment of arcwine, which travels to the palace with a heavy escort. I can share the location, provided you leave me a cut of the goods. One of my men has infiltrated the group and will hold up the delivery long enough for you to strike.
