If you're a bozo like me and can't figure out where this is and/or why it's not there on Normal, that's because it's a Heroic only quest. It even says it, there, in the top right corner of Wowhead's description.

Anyway, if you can stealth or invis particularly well, you can easily solo this quest. The plumage is immediately behind and to the right of you when you get dropped off. You should be able to see it on the other side of the barrier near the group playing duck duck goose.

Anyway, stealth through all the packs, grab it, and then jump onto the pots that are in front of the low wall -- they form a ramp that will allow you to escape without stealthing back through all the packs of Arrakoa.

Warlocks can do this too all you have to do is soulstone then using voidlord let him aggro the first 2 mobs then burning rush and demonic leap till you get the other side and shadowfury the group there and keep running till you get next to the feather and die and rezz right next to the feather with soulstone grab the feather then use the pots to jump back over and ther you go

After reading Chumpacabra's post above I had a theory I wanted to try: as a priest, I got a druid friend to stealth around and then jump on top of the mentioned pots. I then found that with a little jumping to get line of sight I could use to get over the wall myself. Following that, I switched the glyph out and used my normal Leap of Faith to pull the druid's alt monk over the wall too. Takes a little jumping to make line of sight work, but it does work with a little experimenting. Obviously no good for soloing, but handy if there's 2-3 of you who want to do it and a priest is available.

Edit: now irrelevant due to the change requiring killing the endboss as well, oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

This is how I did it as a Warlock(regardless of spec). Just pick Burning Rush and Dark Bargain. Soulstone yourself and start off with Burning Rush, let your pet(Abyssal, Infernal, Voidlord or Voidwalker) attack the first two mobs, just as you go past the first two activate Dark Bargain and cruise away to the very end. Once you're close to the quest item you will encounter the last group of mobs(A giant bird with kids), allow her to drop you like a sack of potatoes, resurrect with soulstone, grab the item and off you go. You don't need to hearth if it's on cooldown, just jump on top of the first golden barrel facing you and on top of the pillar after it and you should be on the other side.

Remember just in case you missed previous comments, you have to set the Dungeon to Heroic to be able to see the quest item. You won't be able to see it on normal.

Any class can solo this with an Invisibility Potion and the Precious Bloodthorn Loop. Just enter the instance (Heroic only!), you can see the feather from where you are dropped. Just pass all the mobs while invisible and get the feather. Depending on your run speed you may be able to do it with just the potion, but be ready to use the ring if needed, precious, precious ring...

*EDIT* What i wrote is still valid to get the quest item, but now the quest requires you to also kill the last boss so getting just the item would be useless (unless you did the instance but forgot to get the item).

If you want to get this Item quick and easy just follow the following steps. Works like a charm.

For those that dont bother running the heroic dungeons just for your daily Inn-Quest,
simply extend your Lockout ID ( /raidinfo then select the needed Dungeon and click: Extend Raidlock).

The Dungeon should be empty and you can simply loot the needed item. No fuzz.

Of course you need to have cleared the Dungeon on Heroic at least once before.
I am not sure if this works in Grimrail Depot because of the Train derailing at the end.

I cannot turn this quest in and it's driving me nuts.

The issue is, I believe it's because I built over my Lunarfall Inn, before turning this quest in...yeah, I know - bonehead thing.

Well, I rebuilt the Lunarfall Inn - still no luck.

So now, I have 4 quests like this - all ready for turn-in, and I'm not able to....

Damn quest giver has disappeared on me! Similar to the Manastorm issue, For The Children!, the fountain has the gold "?" on it. I tried the Manastorm trick of moving the inn, but no luck. Any ideas? EDIT -- for some reason Aviana quest giver is now back, but the Flamefly Trap one is now the fountain... sigh.

EDIT: I think I worked it out! Even though the quest was picked up before the change to require the last boss is killed it wasn't handed in until after. When I complete a full heroic dungeon is when the quest giver goes back to their rightful place in the inn.

soloable by warrior using heroic leap.. just go right when you get off the bird entrance ride.. you can leap onto a higher invisble area on the fence that separates the path

The last boss can be killed on normal, but the quest item is available only in Heroic version.
I had run Skyreach once before in normal. Then started Skyreach in Heroic, got the quest item, and the group was disbanded (bummer!). However, I was still able to turn it in.

The quest item is at the bottom of the stairs before the first boss. Big feather.

If you are unable to turn the dungeon quest in at your Garrison Inn, you may have missed the last boss for the dungeon. A display issue caused these quests to show as complete before the final dungeon boss was defeated. Follow the steps below to resolve the display issue on your client:

Open the Battle.net app and select World of Warcraft on the left-side of the app.
Click the Options dropdown menu and select Show in Explorer.
Double-click the World of Warcraft folder.
Delete the Cache folder.
Restart World of Warcraft.

The Lunarfall Inn and Frostwall Tavern quest NPCs may not all be present at the same time when handing in a large amount of quests. Leaving the garrison area and then returning will change which NPCs are there, and you should be able to hand in your quests.

NOTE: You need to finish the last boss in the instance, even if the quest doesn't say that you do.

If you find that the quest giver has disappeared when you go to turn it in, queue for the instance in Normal mode and kill the last boss. The quest giver will re-appear.

You can still do this quest solo as a warrior or class with Stealth.

The boss can be killed in normal mode, and only the feather retrieved in heroic mode.

Note: As a warrior, from the entrance jump on the nearest pots first, then heroic leap to the pots over the wall

Lorewise, as the repeat quest reveals, Avianna has not been able to contact the arrokoa. Maybe one of their two gods are blocking her out?

are these repeatable? I have the stay awhile and listen achievement, but wowhead says i never did this quest. I think i did and deleted the item, and now I want it :(

Having issues on one of my toons. This quest is NEVER showing up on my Tavern till now. Did some quests, even some toons that never did ANY of the Tavern's quests had it up within a week. All lvl 100's have Heroic Skyreach achiev too, including this RNG one.

This quest has not appeared for any of my alts. I have the achieve (it's account wide) and the feather on my main, and done at least 10 of the qualifying quests anyway on my alts, but the quest has never shown up. It's been months. No idea what I'm missing to get this quest to pop.

I wasn't getting this quest for a month on my main, and so I build over the Inn and later rebuilt the Inn. Instantly I get it on this toon. So I tested it, and again on my rogue "which has been looking for it for 3 months" after rebuilding the Inn I get it Instantly!

Fastest way to get the quest is to just take the non daylis from your inn/tavern and get im in quest log.
There is a max ammount of non daylis so it will pop after a few days.
Then you simply do skyreach and abandon all the other inn/tavern quests!

Does anyone else think that this quest's description doesn't match the objective?
We want to extend a peace offer, so we're killing them and stealing their feathers?
Is there any wonder why it doesn't work?

Skylord Omnuron was up today (Nov/16/15)for the fist time in I don't know how long. Anyway, if it was a bug it was fixed or if it was removed on purpose, he's back.

Both objectives for this, and all Lunarfall Inn/Frostwall Tavern quests can be completed in Mythic difficulty.

Tow objectives to complete this quest:

Loot Pristine Plumage which spawns on Heroic difficulty only.
Kill last boss High Sage Viryx either on Normal or Heroic, difficulty doesn't matter.

Description

The arakkoa are creatures of the sky, and are thus within the domain of the great Aviana.

I have been sent to procure a feather, that we may parley with them through the language of the winds. We will extend an invitation of peace, and a place on the Great Bough.

Would you aid us in this quest? The feather must come from an arakkoan of nobility. You will find them in the place known as Skyreach.
