All the items for this quest are in the area immediately below the quest giver, Groundskeeper Wu's, position for the turn in. The rattan can be found twinkling next to trees and bushes. The vendor for the Black Walnut Extract is in a stall near the stairs up to the Groundskeeper's position while the vendor who sells the Triple-Bittered Ale is in a stall diagonally opposite the extract vendor in the outer line of stalls.

When you go to collect the 6 rattan Switchs, there is a bunch in one area next to Yao The Collector. If you start taking these, Yao will get frustrated with you and start to threaten to do something about it. It is pretty funny.

If you attempt to take the Rattan Switch next to Yao the Collector (who is sitting), a brief scene will occur.

Yao the Collector yells: Hey... HEY! What are you doing?
Yao the Collector yells: You're stealing my inventory, aren't you?
Yao the Collector yells: Don't make me stand up!
Yao the Collector yells: I'll do it, I swear! I'm about to stand up!
Yao the Collector yells: Here I go!
Yao the Collector says: Oh, who am I kidding? You are a wily one, thief.

Yao says the above rather quickly, but he does not even attempt to stand up at all.

It was pretty amusing. :P

The vendors have chat bubbles on top of their heads . They show up on the mini-radar and the Rattan Switch looks like bamboo. It is a plant and easy to spot cause it is twinkling. Quest takes 2 minutes to complete. - Have fun!

I try right clicking the two vendors but i can't ask them !@#$ for the quest it just goes straight to merchant...someone help me out? i'm new at this website >.<

Purchase a vial of Black Walnut Extract from June Whiteblossom.

Purchase 3 Triple-Bittered Ales from Brewmaster Lei Kanglei.

Description

First things first, though.

A proper trainee needs a proper weapon. And a scrupulous trainee builds his own... or at least gathers the materials.

The switches which grow nearby should suffice for any respectable weapon. You'll also need to shop for black walnut extract to treat the wood. While you're there, get some ale, for...
