the profession quests that grant skill points ARE repeatable, but would only grant skill points like once a week or so...

FYI... You will be crafting 5 Darkmoon Prizes. So it will take 10 Shiny Baubles, 5 Course Thread, and 5 Blue Dye. Thought I would let everyone know since no one has specified. I showed up with only one set of the items and had to go back to town for more.

One of the new patch 4.3 Darkmoon Faire profession quests, you must have at least 75 skill in Leatherworking to see this quest.

Requires 10 Shiny Bauble, 5 Coarse Thread and 5 Blue Dye which cannot be bought on Darkmoon Island so remember to bring some with you.

The profession quests can only be completed once during each Darkmoon Faire and will grant 5 skill points.

The nearest vendors to the Darkmoon Faire portals are Kuruk (H), Innkeeper Farley (A) for the Moonberry Juice and Shadi Mistrunner (H), Tharynn Bouden (A) for all the other trade goods. You'll have to collect the fossil fragments yourself. If you forgot to bring your fishing rod with you, Tatia Brine on Darkmoon Island sells fishing supplies.

For the Horde, you can zone to Mulgore go up the lift and buy all the required mats fromShadi Mistrunner who is just right of the small pond.

EDIT: Make sure to make your (5) Darkmoon Prizes there before going back just to make sure you bought what you needed...it's an unhappy run back for one coarse thread!

Even if you done the primary profession quests that week, if you drop a profession during Darkmoon Faire week, you can do the quests for the profession that you pick up as well. Even rewarding the achievement Faire Favors without completing one of the secondary skill quests such as Archaeology or Fishing.

Possibly means that if your toon has no professions you could conceivably do the quest for every primary profession each month, awarding you with 36 Darkmoon Prize Tickets instead of just 8. (Assuming you're willing to get each profession to 75 and really really want the tickets right meow.)

If Medium Leather is overpriced on your server, then this quest is a nice way to level leatherworking from 145 to 150. The simplest alternative requires 70x Medium Leather. There are other alternatives that use less Medium Leather, but they require Medium Hide or elixirs that may not be readily available.

Is it bad that I've been doing this quest faithfully every month since the new Darkmoon Faire was introduced, and I've only just realised that the Shiny Baubles are used as the cuddly toys' eyes?

I was just told about this option at the Darkmoon Fair. So now i'm running around trying to find the quest giver. Who is it? Where are they? tomtom is helpful.

edit: Just found the fella. He is named Rinling for the Leatherworking @ the target shot. TomTom location 49.41, 60.86.

I had been struggling to make every point in Leatherworking (Legion) to hit 800 skill, found this quest and it awarded me the last 5 points to hit max!

If you are alliance and need to go back for the supplies for this quest, Tharynn Bouden in Goldshire sells all of them. He is at about 42, 67 which is by the beginning prof trainer. They are both standing in front of the wooden tradesmen's cart at the side of the road just north of the DMF portal.

Having 95/100 Legion Leatherworking and 0/0 Zandalari (since BfA isn't out yet), I just completed this quest today, hoping to get my last 5 Legion Leatherworking skill points, but I got nothing. They either removed the points in the BfA-prepatch or I was supposed to get points in the Zandalari category, but they weren't awarded because I hadn't unlocked it yet.

If your Darkmoon Faire profession quest is not showing as available, check your profession level for your Original (Vanilla 1-300) tier. If it is not at least 75 points, your profession quest will not show up, no matter how many points you have in other expansion pack tiers of your profession.

I had to raise my Vanilla LW skill to 75 before I was able to see this quest. Completing the quest gave me Kul Tiran LW +5.

Using Darkmoon Craftsman's Kit will give an error massage about missing reagents if any reagents is stored in the bank rather than in your bags. It just happened to me today - I had to go to the bank and take out the required reagents for it to work.

The quest is not available as of 31/1/2021. Maybe it resets monthly and since thw last Darkmoon Faire event ended at 9/1/2021 it will be available at 1/2/2021

You need 5 coarse thread, 5 blue dye and 10 shiny baubles to complete this quest. The baubles can be bought from Tatia Brine at the faire grounds (to the left of the portal) the other can't

Since the profession revamp in Legion and later, the 5 skill points are applied to the highest expansion your character knows. They are not applied to all expansions of a profession. That means +5 Shadowlands leatherworking at the time of this writing, assuming your character has 1+ Shadowlands leatherworking. The 5 points are not tied to your character level, and you do not get 5 points per expansion. If your character's highest profession is Battle for Azeroth, the 5 points are applied to BfA.

My suggestion, if your character has capped a profession in an earlier expansion, but hasn't learned the profession in a later expansion, is talk to Chromie in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, and get the profession for the expansion you want points. Keep in mind that you can skip expansions. For example, if you have capped Cataclysm, talk to Chromie and get WoD, Legion, or BfA. Whichever one you choose will benefit from the 5 points.

Since Dragon Isle the DMF profession quests only give 2 or 3 skill points, not 5.

Highly recommend the addon DMF Quest. It lists and lets you auto buy all the stuff you'll need for your relevant profession quests at the Darkmoon Faire, and shows you a completed or not completed status for each month when the Faire comes around.

For Dragonflight, you will only need to go to 1 vendor, Shadi Mistrunner (H), or Tharynn Bouden (A). Purchase the items and make them right there on the spot so you don't go back because you didn't make enough. It rewards 3 knowledge and 2 skill points. It can only be done once.
