Once you accept the quest talk to the NPC again, he'll have an option for you to select. Once you select it you become one with the ground, zooming towards your destination with very epic music playing.

You need to turn in the quest via the quest log (a new feature in Cataclysm). This will present you with the follow-up quest, which is killing Avalanchion.

Make sure your addon lets you complete quests in the log and be rdy to do just that after the ride is over. Then accept the next quest to kill the NPC. He has a knockback so be careful to fight with your back against the stone there.

It's a pain having to run back if you get knocked off or don't complete the quest in your log.

I used to circle around the Verdant Thicket in Hyjal when I wanted to hear this particular music because I couldn't find (aka was too lazy to do an arduous search for) the file.

As for the problem of the music looping, you can also run

/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Music\\cataclysm\\MUS_NightElves_GU05.mp3");
/script PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Music\\cataclysm\\MUS_NightElves_GU04.mp3");

in that case it will play the file only once.
My guess (correct me if I'm wrong) is that "PlayMusic" will replace the zone background music with the file you picked and thus loop it, while "PlaySoundFile" really just plays the file once. In the latter case the background music will keep playing parallel to your file, so you better turn the music off or the result might be a bit disharmonic. ;)

For making a macro:

/run PlaySoundFile("Sound\\Music\\cataclysm\\MUS_NightElves_GU05.mp3")

just drag it onto your action bars and listen to it whenever you like. :)

Is there a way to get back to Avalanchion if you abandoned the quest to kill him?
I flew back to the quest giver guy but he just gives you the quest to kill Avalanchion again, but no 'one with the ground' to get you there....
How can I find the entrance to his cave please?

Description

The leader of the Stone Mother's forces here is the great earth elemental lord, Avalanchion. Luckily for us, the Twilight's Hammer cultists have decided to invade his lair. They're seeking to bind his elementals to their will.

We will take advantage of the chaos. The earth ritual that I invoke will make you one with the ground. It will take you near to Avalanchion without alerting him to your presence.

It's up to you to finish him.
