To get to this you need to come straight into Dire Maul, and follow the corridor until you arrive at a "T" junction. In front of you there is a big wooden door, which is part of the scenery. The entrances to the arena are immediately to left and the right of this.

There is a small entrance to the arena at 43.1, 67.9 (looking at the overall map of Kalimdor). This will take you into the arena the proper way. You will see it on your left as you come into the courtyard.

The alternative is to leap directly into the arena from above. It seems that leaping directly into the arena from above isn't enough to set off the event. Instead you will need to leave the arena and come back in. There is a small exit near the crowd.

I jumped down into the arena and got the pre-fight speech, including Cho'gall noticing that I was there, but the combat portion didn't start. I waited a long time for something attackable and it wasn't until I left Prowl that one of the four disciples jumped down to attack me.

My guess is that the combat portion of the event will not begin if you aren't visible to them.

I killed the first 2 attendants, then Cho'Gall jumped down and froze me, and then did nothing. He was attackable, but the other two attendants weren't, and I didn't get quest completion. Bugged?

EDIT: Yes, yes it does. Also, the follow up quest "To Camp Mojache" counts towards the achieve as well.

For those that are curious. (And I'm sure this is just pure coincidence)

The quote that he says "I'll stain my hands, with your blood". Is the same line that "Geese Howard" from the king of fighter/fatal fury games exactly says as he is the final boss a few times.

This quest was buggy as hell. The event didn't start until third time and there were several phasing bugs, like the cultist attacking and suddenly disappearing in the middle of the fight.

But the most embarrassing bug was that just when I had chased Cho'Gall away and I was leaving the arena, the whole Seremon reappeared like nothing had happened. That was the final blow to the mood the quest was trying to convey.

There is a tunnel at (60,32) that should make the quest run much, much smoother. go left as soon as you find the big courtyard

Just done this - didn't work the first couple of times - what you have to do is if you jump in the arena kill the first 2 Ogre's that jump down, when the Boss comes done and just stands there, leave the arena through the passage way, when at the bottom of the ramp turn round and come back in the arena - there will be 4 Ogre's killing the Boss - Just wait for a minute and the quest will complete.

Coincidentally, this quest also includes a "3D", 360 degree visual of the entire planet of Azeroth floating above the arena in Dire Maul (phased content, not the dungeon).

You can see the likeness of the three known continents. Although they are exaggerated caricatures rather than exact replicas it is obvious it is Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, Northrend, and the Maelstrom. You can even see Teldrasil, and Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles, and the Isle of Quel'Danas.

An interesting note, Azeroth is apparently encircled by two moons according to this representation.

This "floating globe" is best viewed from a flying mount if you have the opportunity.

That is because it actually has two moons, but due to technical difficulties, the second moon (The Blue Child) was scraped in BC.

I also jumped in, killed 3 attendants and then stood there like an idiot, but I did read the quest description beforehand and it clearly states "Throw wide the doors of dire maul, leap into the arena, and cut down his attendants"

Exiting through the little doorway to the left and coming back in did trigger the rest of the quest though.

A pvp trinket does not break the iceblock ( deep freeze) Chogall places on you. also the end of the event appears to be based off a timer and not health level.

To begin this quest you must first complete the quests:

The Gordunni Threat
The Gordunni Orb
Talk to Swar'jan
Ogre Abduction

I just jumped over the edge down into the arena (oval, just come NORTH up from the entrance from the main road and keep winding your way through the granite looking passages).

Then, I tried to engage a few of the mobs to the south, of which there are maybe 20? 30? Instead, Cho'Gall comes down (boss) and has 2 ogre henchmen which are attackable.

Spoiler: you don't really even have to kill them. The Stonemaul tribe will now come over and do it for you.

When done, you will see a tiny passageway on the floor of the arena to the west. Again, wind your way until a ramp leads up.

Please Note: This quest is not available until you have completed the quest Ogre Abduction. After you complete Ogre Abduction, there's a little dialogue between Swar'jan and the abducted Gordok ogre-mage, during which you find out who's supplying the Gordok with powerful trinkets.

This is the information you need to obtain this quest. The last thing Swar'jan says is:

"...go inform Rok Orhan..."

I assume he must mean Orhan Ogreblade, since from this point onwards, "Might of the Stonemaul becomes available, and the NPC Rok Orhan no longer exists.

Completing the Quest

Although Orhan tells you to "Throw wide the doors of Dire Maul" you can't actually do this, as those doors are just scenery. To complete this quest, simply head into Dire Maul, walk up the main ramp pathway, then head left. On your right you will see a doorway, and a corridor leading left. Follow it through into the Broken Commons.

At this point, the phasing should have started, and you'll see Cho'gall giving his sermon. Head over to the south side of the area - the part closest wo where you are, and the opposite side that Cho'gall is located in. Below you, you will see a bunch of Gordok neutrals listening to the rant.

Jump down amongst them to trigger the second phase. Cho-gall with notice you after a bit, then send some of his !@#$%es to take you out. Kill them both, then there's a scripted part where you can sit back and enjoy the show until it's over. Head back to camp before they all spawn back in :P

For kicks, as a priest, you can actually mind control Cho'gall during the final battle.. but there will be nothing for him to attack. You can just hit control button 4 which does Flame Destruction.

For those of you confused as I was, this quest is not in the instance, but in the Feralas world zone of the Dire Maul area.
Simply walk up there and you'll be fine, you don't have to enter the dungeon.

You do not need to go into instance, just fly over there. And land on the ground.

Cho'gall doesnt run away but his hp goes down slowly, its been 15min now he is at %85 hp, I'm level 29 btw. Gonna get him down and get my credit for quest i hope wish me luck from future guys.

Edit: He ran away at %79 hp. Took 25min to get him there fun quest :D

Quest is one of many that was made broken during the Shadowlands pre-patch. I've reported it as a bug.
Edit: After about 30-35 minutes I got him down to 80% with a friend and the quest worked like it should, him running away. Still the scaling is off on this NPC:

This quest is easily bugged and can get you stuck in a phase where Cho'Gall is perpetually fighting 3 ogres with the main NPC standing still doing nothing. Chromie time can bug the quest scaling it to level 50 raid boss HP. None of the fixes in this thread worked for me so here's what I had to do:

Turn on WM (was previously off), Turn OFF chromie time & then abandon/re-take the quest. People usually quest with WM on so the chances of finding a phasing where someone is "not bugged" is also higher, can just tag their version of the boss.

Ticketing Blizzard WILL NOT help you with this quest.

One thing of note, this quest is the last of it's chain and not required for any other quest. You can complete the rest of the quests in the zone and do this one last if you need to go back to orgrimmar to reset chromie time if you wish.

Cho'gall's hp/level is all out of whack with the pre-patch. Took about 5 minutes as a lvl 39 enhance shaman to complete this with the quest NPC's assisting

I had ALOT of problems with this in shadowlands pre patch. But i solved it by going to ogrimmar and talking to chromie, reseting the timewalking so that i have no expansion timewalking active.

Was questing with WM off and the quest bugged for me. I went to Org and switched WM on and I was able to complete the quest.

The quest seems bugged because the mob has alot of health and doesn't die quickly, but when the boss gets to 80% health you will complete the quest. Just act like its a raid. :)

As of Shadowlands patch 9.1, took 5 whole minutes to complete the quest at level 48 (Chromie Time) because Cho'gall has a ton of HP, luckily you "only" need to get him to 80%

As of 10.2.5 everything works as intended. Just get to the arena floor. There is an "official entrance" at 62.44 31.83 that I flew through because the first time I tried it, I just flew to the ground and the event didn't trigger. When I went through the arena entrance, the dialogue triggered. Once that starts, just wait until Ogres start jumping down.
