Very easy 3 part chain as a lvl 47 arc mage. Nova does not work on them so, just nuke away. I never had to pot, evoc, bandage, etc and ended every fight over half hp left. Not much else to say here.

Forget the 3-man tag. All of these "bosses" are wimps that hit maybe about as hard as two normal mobs. All were easy solos as a 47 enhance shaman in quest gear...didn't even need to heal myself. Easy xp and a free blue. Have fun.

This fellow is a nod to Mad Max 2's The Humungus. looks exactly the same. The Thunderdrome is also a reference to a Gladiatorial arena in the same movie franchise, which if i can recall, is in the 3rd movie.

If you're having trouble seeing this quest to start the chain:

There's a lead-in quest given by Flinn at Gustan's Dig, the southern-most flight point in Tanaris. See if it's available to you.

Try completing Kelsey Steelspark's quest chain, (ending with You Too, Brute?). She is involved in the last Thunderdrome quest, and I'm guessing being part way through her chain may interfere with picking up the first Thunderdrome quest. (The last one can't be picked up at all until You Too, Brute? is complete.)

If you still can't see it, someone else's recent Thunderdrome attemps may have messed it up; try checking in later or after a server reset.

Edit: And for those of the Horde persuasion: Sherm for the lead-in, Megs Dreadshredder's quest chain, ending with Sandscraper.

I completed all the tanaris quests (except for the distress beacon) and these weren't available to me as a 61 lvl alliance warlock. I checked the following day and the thunderdrome quests were available. So there maybe a glitch somewhere so that you have to log out/log back in after finishing the other tanaris quests.

Was able to down all three as a lvl 47 hunter in white and gray gear while attempting the Ironman Challenge.

I just solo'd this as a 48 Arcane mage, but without heirlooms, it was pretty difficult and I nearly died on my successful attempt (and had a failed attempt or two before I finally got the kill).

At about half health he summons dogs and then STUNS YOU. I was not expecting this and it really hurts. I had to use my trinkets in order to burn him down.

The quest doesn't need 3 people, but it's not as easy as some of these comments led me to believe. :P At least for my squishy mage.

These were all pretty easy on a 48 BM hunter with a tanking pet. I had a level 76 come in uninvited on the last of the series and kill the main mob but it was going just fine before he showed up. Nice blue reward for the questline and the whole thing took five minutes.

This quest (and the rest of the chain) appears to currently be unavailable as the NPC instead offers Amphitheater of Anguish: Yggdras! for Northrend. After a few tickets a GM manually accepted the quest for me but was unable to get the mob to spawn.
Please bug report this if you come across it too.

I was able to get the quest, but I ran in to hit him and while he was red and could be targeted, my character kept saying he wasn't a valid target. My passive abilities damaged him and someone else walked up and killed him for me. While on the quest I couldn't hit him though.

For anyone getting the message "You don't meet the requirements for that quest" when trying to pick this quest up it is likely because you have War Mode disabled. Go turn War Mode on and you should now be able to pick up and complete these quests. I do not know the full extent of this bug but it is definitely not intended and turning on War Mode definitely works as of my writing of this (Confirmed on my 120 Warrior). This bug is probably caused by the fact that the dome itself used to flag you for PvP automatically and no longer does so when War Mode is turned off.

Still doesn't explain why the questgiver sends you to the Amphitheater of Anguish though... I mean, it isn't even the same NPC in Northrend that gives the quest... Anyway...

TL;DR Turn on War Mode if you are having difficulty picking up this quest!

Edit: As a result of my experimenting, I did complete The Amphitheater of Anguish: Yggdras! and had The Amphitheater of Anguish: Magnataur! in my log when I finally completed the quests by turning War Mode on. Though I am still confident having War Mode on is all you need to do to fix this bug.

Breadcrumb quest for this is The Thunderdrome!. So better take it before starting the chain.

Description

Alright, only rule is stay in the drome! There are no other rules!

You're up against the biggest, baddest member of the Wastewander Bandits first. This'll either be a warmup or a bloodbath...it's up to you which!
