You need to kill 7 Disciple of Elune

Head back to the well from the previous quest, Nothing a Couple of Melons Won't Fix. The Disciples of Elune are situated around building with the well.

I inadvertently cancelled the buff that allows you to see Disciples of Elune, and did not realize it. If you log out and and log back in, the buff will be reapplied and you will be able to see the Disciples and complete this quest.

Killing the Disciples of Elune around the well from Nothing a Couple of Melons Won't Fix does nothing for me.

Do not AoE down the Disciples of Elune. The Vortex can only absorb energy from one at a time, and if you kill them all, it takes quite a while for more to respawn.

The vortex can't absorb multiple disciples at once as it is scripted to change name and size after every absorption. It goes from Wispy to Gusty to Stormy to Blustering to Surging to Seething; after that it slowly shrinks and the quest is remote-completable.

Note that it does not decrease in size/name with time, but death or logout will require you to resummon the vortex, resetting it to Wispy.

You can use this quest item anywhere in Azeroth to summon the cyclone. Way cooler to not complete the quest and be able to summon a cyclone anywhere and anytime you want.

Anyone having problems with this quest? I create the vortex in Nigels Point, i kill the disciplines. well i don't get the credit for NOTHING. Show like the vortex was no created and i never kill the disci. Any Ideas?

help! for some reason I can't do this. Am I supposed to summon the vortex while I am killing the diciples, before, or after? I have killed many of them, but it still says 0/6 killed

First time posting here, but I thought I would give a heads up. Create the vortex and then leave it up. Run around and kill Disciples of Elune one at a time. You will see a light from the vortex and draining the Disciple and the vortex will grow bigger, but you will see no change in the log. Do this seven time and then the quest will be completed. Hope this helps.

To summon the Wispy Vortex, use the Vortex Gem in your inventory. This will summon a Wispy Vortex Companion that will follow you around. You need to be at the Sargeron, upper right at your map. You will find the Disciple of Elune by the well where you completed the quest Nothing a Couple of Melons Won't Fix, and squeezed your 8 Melonfruit. To complete this quest, you will need to kill 7 Disciple of Elune.

Is this quest bugged? I had the buff I needed to see Disciples of Elune, had my little typhoon up, was in the area indicated by the map, and spent half an hour looking. I didn't see ANY of these damned mobs.

Firestarter

You are to create a Raging Vortex by defeating 7 Disciples of Elune in the presence of your firestorm.

Should you lose your Vortex Gem, another can be obtained from the Ancient Vortex Runestone.

Description

You are now able to understand the script in which the journal was written.

Along the runestone, it is explained that the monument's gemstones were imbued with the power to summon a firestorm.

The storm could grow to be a mighty weapon either through sustained worship of Elune, or charged by spiritual energies of the fallen.

Looking down upon the newly revealed ghosts of Elune's disciples, you reason that you have neither the time, nor the inclination to worship the goddess of your enemy....
