Quest doesn't seem to be working. I'm at the Cannon's in Derelict Strand and still cant get the flare to go off.

There are 2 sides to this wall - one with the camp of the bad guys, and the other side and a bit away are the good guy troops.

Stan inside the bad guys camp, opposite the opening, but about 30 feet in (away from attackers)

If you look at the wall from the bad guy's camp, you will see an opening in the middle (a "doorway"). On the left side of the opening (say, 20 feet to the left) is a set of stairs with a canon. You need to get up those stairs to the top. Kill anyone in your way. They die easy.

When you are at the canon, right click on the flare in your pack.

Run down the stairs (stay in the bad guys camp) and go to the other side of the "doorway" and about 20 feet to the right. Again, kill the bad guys at the bottom and maybe at the top (when I was playing, the place was crawling with players, so killing was reduced!).

Run up to the top, right click on the flare in your pack. Then jump off the platform, landing on the good-guy side of the wall and run to the officer there with the questionmark on her head. If you are being chased, they will kill the bad guys who are after you.

One issue is that Lyana may disappear to go fight, and not be at her usual position at 79, 37.
Just hang around, she comes back.

The cannons are in the towers. The eastern one is NOT located next to the sea and aimed to the wrecked battleship.

This was very difficult. Landing next to the cannon always caused 3 alliance to come running out of nowhere. As a warrior with 50% damage reduction against level 68's I was getting hit from 100-300 each time. You have about one second to get away from the cannon after marking it or you'll go flying from friendly fire.

A little tip...if you have a flying mount, use it. I have used mine and have found out the questing is faster and much more fun..fly in and land on the cannons then dismount, soooo easy...You can find the East cannon at 79x37...the West cannon at 78x39. Good hunting ! I love this game !

Guide Our Sights

Use the Smoke Flares at the location of the Alliance Cannons on the northern wall of the Derelict Strand. Report to Dark Ranger Lyana at the Bleeding Vale after you've completed this task.

Description

We should be able to kill our way back to our guns. Unfortunately, visibility is less than desirable so you will have to mark our targets from the ground.

Take these smoke flares with you and use them to mark the locations of the cannons along the northern wall in the Derelict Strand, west of here, where the Alliance are holding out.

Let Lyana know as soon as the way is clear for the ground troops. We can take care of ourselves over here.
