Dirty Larry is the NPC you'll need to find and talk to for this quest. He can be found in the northwesternmost point of lower Shattrath with two of his buddies. Upon asking for the book he'll say a few lines and give you a countdown till he attacks you. During this countdown you are allowed to get the first shot. Dirty Larry himself is a 66 elite and his friends are 66 non elites. They are NOT immune to snaring/rooting, so kiting is a definite option if you're looking to solo this. If you kite him too far(past the nearby bank) he will reset.

I was able to solo this guy at 64 as a frost mage, here's how I did it:
1. Start the event.
2. Sheep one of his friends instantly after talking to Larry.
3. After one is sheeped, kill the other.
4. Larry should be on you now kite him around. I used my water elemental to put up a little DPS and to help with frost nova'ing him. Keep up the kiting/dpsing till he dies -- remember to keep the other mob sheeped. I had to use cold snap and 3 frost shields.

This may be extremely tough to solo for certain classes.

It is possible to complete the quest if a different group defeats Dirty Harry. I happened to ride up as an alliance group (im horde) just finished him up, and I got the "Complete" thing to pop up, and was able to talk to Harry and have him give me the next quest.

Yes I too did the same as jumpee. I road up as a couple alliance were killing and helped them kill him and all I had to do was talk to dirty harry and turn the quest in. =)

Yep same for me (night elf rogue), as I found dirty harry a tauren druid just charged him and I though if I helped him he would help me later. We just nuked dirty harry until he "died" and I saw the objective was completed. You just have to damage him enough to get the kill doesn't matter if you are horde or alliance.

Easily solo'd as a warlock, just make sure he's next to the campfire when you finish him off or he'll evade simultaneously to the quest completing (really stupid).

Use a voidwalker AoE taunt to start off, howl of terror, and keep the elite feared while you kill the non-elites (low damage). He hits about 1k dmg but he's easily kited (CoEx) or fear bounced with CoR/CoW switching. He's got a ton of hp to eat through, so don't spam inefficient stuff. Again, just make sure he's near the camp when you kill him or it bugs.

Soloed as a 66 priest. Get max distance when they crack their knuckles and shield up, put full dots on him and run. Don't go too far, they might evade. Then fear them all and flay/blast the crap out of larry. Then dot him and run again. The point of running is to buy time for fear to cool and so you don't get pummeled to death. Everytime it's up let them catch up and fear them again and then flay/blast larry over and over. Once he's down to about 5% run back to the camp and finish him off using the same routine. EZ

Fearkiting just makes life all too easy. Did the Q while talking on the phone (66 Afflictionlock) by just fearing and DOTing. Should be doable on quite low levels if you can just keep him CC'ed.

Solo'ed as a 67 Druid. It was a pain at first, but once I got the strategy down it was pretty easy. I talked to Dirty Larry and got to max distance while he was getting ready. Once he aggro'ed, I rooted him and went bear, to take out the adds. He arrived as I was killing the second add, and I killed the second add while using Frenzied Rejuv. I then bashed him (Or tried to, it actually missed) and then got out of bear form and rooted him. I backed off, and healed myself. I waited for about a minute, letting the roots tick and my mana rejuv, all the while my bash cooling down. I then went back in, and repeated the bash --> root combo again. Hope this helps!

Soloed this quest as a 64 mage. Probably only doable as a frost most.

Sheeped Larry, and used water elemental to help me aoe the other 2 guys down. Then I kited Larry around his immediate area. Was difficult and I had to use consumables, but I did finish it. Larry himself hits for 900ish on cloth, while his guards hit for 200ish, so don't try this if you can't kite/cc.

Managed to solo as a 70 Warlock. All are fearable, so I kept Larry running around feared while I killed the other 2.

Then DOT'ed Larry and kept him running in circles.

Soloed as a 65 Feral Druid

Heres how I did it:
Took the strat of the above comments for druids and rooted Larry as soon as the fight started. Then I went bear and proceeded to kill his adds. As I killed the first the root broke, so I War Stomped(Tauren) and rooted him again. Healed when I needed to. Then once his 2nd add was dead, I re-rooted him and healed up. Majority of the fight I kept him rooted because the root has a longer effect then the diminishing return on it. This fight honestly took about... 7min. As I had him rooted, I got tired of waiting so I went bear and proceeded to dps him as best I could, then when I got to around 40% hp I bashed and re-rooted, waited until mana/hp was good. Also, as he was rooted and I was regen'ing, I sometimes wrath'd and starfired him just for a change up.

It is possible to solo as a druid, just have to have patience.

Soloed this as a 70 holy paladin. When you first talk to him, you have a bit of time to kill the other guys. Do this immediately, you'll probably be able to incapacitate one and have the other almost done. After I did that, I judged light on Larry and swung away using righteousness, holy shock and rank 1 consecrate.

I had to pop divine shield, but it's easily soloable. I even had a couple resists in there, so you might not even have to use divine shield.

Couldn't solo it as a 70 enhance shammy with 1000+ attack power. Needs some sort of crowd control.

There is a glitch with this quest that makes it very easy(relatively).I found it accidentally by doing failed tries with my druid.

1 Start the event, the mobs will turn yellow and become attackable after a while.

2 They'll start running to you, don't engage them, simply run(on my druid i fought one of them but i decided to run instead).

3. They'll reset after you run past the bank, now quick follow them back, there is a brief time period after they run back to their initial positions, that they are still attackable and yellow before they become talkable again.

4. You can go close or range pull the elite off the group without worrying about his adds. He has about 20K-30K HP and hits for 700-800 without armor, and has no special abilities.

Soloable for a 64 (feral) druid. Root elite and dps down adds in cat. Pop out to re-root if needed and throw on some hots. Once the adds are gone slowly dps him down in bear. Once your health goes below 50% bash and root, then just bandage and regen some mana, throw on some hots and go back to bear. It wil take a while but you can finish it with almsot full health and mana.

easily soloed with a 64 balance/restore druid. no shifting back and forth needed.

activate dmg trinket. root boss. put insect swarm and moonfire on both adds. put regrowth and renew on self. pop innervate. reroot boss. reapply insect swarm and moonfire. reapply renew and regrowth. reroot boss. repeat until adds are gone. then i had to chain root the boss to wait for a second innervate. then i just root+wrath spammed and killed the boss. about 10 minutes in total for the entire fight.

Easily soloed as a 70 combat rogue.
I just sapped one of the friends, used blade flurry, evasion and adrenalin rush + attackpower trinkets and BAM! They went down very easily.

It's much easier if you are alliance with Aldor.
Simply just pull them up to the Aldor Bank. People will just kill them for you.. lol

I soloed them with a 70 hunter. I wanted to trap Malone but i traped one of his buddys instead (the dwarf). Until he counted down i killed the gnome, then traped Malone. Killed the dwarf fast (pet keeping him with growl) and then focused on Malone. Had to trap him one to use a bandage and heal pet. Then pet died when Malone reached 10% and i melee'd him until 1%, when he says that he gives up.

I had a small problem when trying to solo this as a 70 mage. I decided to sheep the elite and then kite him after killing the adds, however I did not get the quest complete when I tried this. I guess some bug with sheeping the main dude...

I was able to solo as a 70 Hunter, MM spec with a cat pet. I tried twice, the first time Larry hit my trap, I killed the two adds, then him with my cat tanking him the whole time and mend pet spammed. However, after "We give up!" he wasn't "completed". I tried a second approach and it worked:

Lay a trap back a ways, around 30 yards or so. Then run up, place your pet on Stay, and run back to your trap. Put a MD on your pet while waiting for the countdown to the attack. As soon as Larry is attable, fire an arcane, and multi. Make sure to keep Mend Pet up at all times, and a sting on Larry to help out. One of the two adds will come running to you, and get trapped. Drop a 2nd trap, and pull the other add to it (Distracting shot, whatever works for you). Meanwhile, focus fire everything on Larry. You should be able to burn him completely down before getting into serious health issues, even after the traps break. I still have nearly half health at the end, and after Larry has given up, the adds despawn and you can complete the quest. Worst case, just bring a health potion just in case, but you should have no problem getting Larry down, if you have semi-decent gear. For the record, I did it with only 6800 health, and I don't have epics, so it isn't like I was way OP'd for it (other than being 70, of course).

Me(lvl 64 warrior) and a 70 pally 2 manned it. We killed the ads first but I'm not sure if thats a good idea. I'm sure you could prolly pull him to stranding guard or 2 if you really need help.

Solo'd as lvl 64 affliction lock. After completing this quest three times without it rewarding me I figured out what was making it fail. If "Dirty" Larry is feared when he hits 1% then the quest will not complete.

Full destro lock. The 6g reward at 70 was enough to cover the repair costs after all the dying I did soloing this. =P After several tries I did it and it wasn't too hard with a proper strategy. Just make sure to keep Larry feared because he hits HARD. And conserve enough mana to keep DoTs up.

Though this quest says that need to be 3, you actually only need 2 since some classes can even solo it. I soloed it as a lvl 65 prot paladin...had to use all my cooldowns and some pots though.

Solo'd this as a 65 hunter.

Start the quest, throw down a frost trap, and back up. Kite Dirty Larry up through the Aldor bank and to the ledge at 44,33 (where you probably jumped down to Dirty Larry). When you jump onto the ledge, as far as you can go without falling off, the guards and Dirty Larry will start to run back to their original position. Then jump back and they'll come back to you. Shoot them once or twice and jump back, rinse and repeat until he's low HP. This whole time your pet should be on Dirty Larry, with growl disabled. When he gets to around 20%, kite him back and finish him off near the start point so you get quest credit and he doesn't evade. You might be able to just jump off the ledge and have him return to the start point without evading, I didn't try it- just kited him back. You don't need to kill his guards.

I found a very easy way to get Larry to come on his own. Simply talk to him and run away till they retreat back. Run up to him again ( he will not attack when they return to their spot ) and soon as you can talk to him again. Just before Larry and his friends are about to run to you his two friends will fade away , now you just have to find away of killing Larry solo. Very easy to do as 65 hunter. I used a freeze trap in the middle of the fight to allow me time to Heal up my pet.

Soloed as a 70 combat rogue (19-42-0).

Sapped the guy on the right as the fight was about to begin, blew Evasion, Blade Flurry, Abacus of Violent Odds, and Evasion, and DPS'ed Larry down.

Blade Flurry knocked out his one friend before I was even done DPSing Larry. When I finally downed Larry, I had about 50% health left.

The guy on the right never even got a piece of the action, he was sapped the entire time.

Killed Larry, turned quest in.

Cant imagine them hitting 700 on plate as an above poster indicated. It was double digits for me.

Soloed as a 65 Balance Druid

Started the fight by rooting the elite and keeping him rooted until the nonelites were down.
Used my treants to keep one nonelite busy while killing the other one
After that i healed myself, started an innervate and used all my most mana efficient spells to get the elite down while keeping him rooted until the very end..
CC above all in these situations...

easy soloed as lvl 65 feral druid, stand as far as possible for the beginning of the fight root Larry and swipe/maul/mangle the adds till death, I had to reroot larry once before the adds died, then root again heal and get him down to 1%, just make sure the you pull Larry back to the fire or you might fail the quest. easy good luck

Just solo'd this as a 68 hunter Marks. Dropped ice trap down next to Larry and had pet aggro the other two while I shot them down. Then just kited Larry as pet (boar) charged to immobilize him. Keep dropping traps and scatter shot with concussive to slow him and keep him at a distance. There were a few times he would "fall" into the ground and I could not see him, but I would just run and he would pull out of that area. Very easy as a marks hunter.

I experienced an odd thing while trying to solo this quest. I kept Larry feared while taking down his adds. As I didn't have a lot of mana afterwards, I just kept him feared with dots and not much nuking. When I finally got him down to 0% he just ran back to the quest spot as if nothing had happened and I had to try all over.

Second time I nuked him down as fast as I could and quest got completed - so might be a maximum time you can spend on taking him down. Soloed as a warlock at lvl 65.

Take note that even though the adds aren't elite they hit a tad bit harder than regular mobs (~250-300 per hit on cloth vs ~100-150). Larry himself hits for 800-1200 damage.

Soloed as a balance druid. Started the event, ran back, and rooted one of the non elites. Larry didn't aggro yet, so I killed the other non elite and left one rooted. After that larry ran at me, so I rooted him and just had to deal with the non elite hitting me which wasn't too bad. Kept up roots and just dpsed him down. Had to pop and innervate and mana pot, but it was simple enough.

Soloed as a 66 BM hunter, although it took a few tries to get the strategy down.

Things to remember:

His friends activate long before he does (he just stands there talking for a bit).
"Dirty" Larry himself is not immune to CC or slows (at least of the kind I've experienced; Freezing Trap, Frost Trap, Concussive Shot and - on the mage end - the Frostbolt slow effect and Sheep). Neither are his friends, but he's elite and his friends are not, so you usually want to keep him out of your hair while you beat down his friends.

That said, the strategy I used was this:

Lay down a Freezing Trap some distance away. (Note: don't put it right on him, it'll just trap one of his friends instead since they activate earlier, and you want to keep Larry trapped until you've killed his friends.)
Wait out the cooldown on the trap, then talk to him and immediately back off (to just beyond the trap, so when he runs at you, he'll walk into the trap).
Send your pet against one of his friends, beat him down, then the other - unless you get unlucky with resists or traps breaking early, you should be able to kill them both while keeping Larry trapped *.
At this point I switched Growl off on the pet (earlier attempts to use it for tanking led to pet death; figured it would be easier to just use him as a source of extra DPS), flipped on Aspect of the Cheetah, went to max range on Larry, Aimed Shot -> Steady Shot -> Concussive Shot (he was really close to me by this point; you might want to skip the Steady if you're not confident on your timing), turn tail and run.
From here onwards it's a straight kite (using the jump-shooting trick **). My pet ended up pulling aggro and dying halfway through, so it took longer than I'd planned - ended up having to kite him around the entirety of Lower City, drop a Freezing Trap at the end (in front of Griftah, roughly), walk Larry into it, and use that to turn him around and kite the other way due to lack of space to turn normally.

* Basic chain-trapping description: lay down trap, wait on cooldown, pull (or have the tank pull if you're in an instance), walk mob into trap, lay down next trap and move so it's between you and the mob, rinse and repeat. At some point, if you're not fast enough with killing the other mobs, you'll end up with a trap breaking when it's still on cooldown - you have to pay attention to that and make sure you're far enough away that you can re-trap without getting eaten.

** Basic jump-shooting (kiting) description: Aspect of the Cheetah on, jump, use the mouse to turn 180 degrees, hit an instant shot (Arcane Shot is good, Multi-Shot is not since it has a hidden cast time which makes it necessary to stand still while using it), use the mouse to turn 180 degrees back, land from the jump, keep running, rinse and repeat.

(You might want to practice both of these on something other than Larry if you've never done it before.)

It's possible to split this fight into 2 parts if you're trying to solo it as a rogue. Initially, when Dirty Larry starts running at you, vanish and allow him to reset his position. For a split second after the returns to his original spot, he is sappable.

Once he's sapped, you can try to quickly take out his 2 friends and bandage back to full before it wears off, allowing you to take him on solo. Still not an easy fight though.

Soloed this with my 69 frost mage. The key is to Poly Larry asap. Then use your Nova to root the other two. Taking them down isn't too hard, since they are non-elite and level 66. Once they are down, you should have enough time to Evocate to regen your mana. I summoned my Elemental and just tried to stay away from Larry, rooting him and keeping Ice Barrier up as much as possible. He hits fairly hard but my Ice Armor proc'd Freeze twice on him, which obviously made this much easier than it otherwise would have been.

Soloed as a lvl 64 Affliction Warlock with Succubus.

Your Succubus in defensive mode will automaticly seduce one of them. I opened up with AOE fear, dotted some, feared Larry and killed the other two. Right now I have to do it again because I didn't keep Larry feared when he was the only one left. He hits hard.

Just noting that prot pallies in high 60's are able to just barely solo this. 11K HP with BoK took Lay on of Hands, 2 super healing potions, and 2 heavy netherweave bandages, but managed to just eek it out. Focused on his two buddies first before him - definitely utilize the small time you have to attack them before he starts fighting.

By the way - don't count on any people of the opposite faction to help you on this one, even if they need it. Definitely funny, and a little irritating, to watch the undead priest dance behind you on this one. :)

I couldn't solo even at lvl 69 Fire mage. as i Sheeped the one of them, he attacks me "CLOTH USER" For like 1000 Damage "non-crits" ... i Nova'ed him and he's friend just behind him I killed the Little Gnome, and Dwarf still was Sheeped, but then the 66 ellite "Dirty Larry" Hit's me 2 times for 800 then 1000 and i was on 200 HP or something, And then he crits me for 1600. So, i will say that get 2man. or 3man, if not you have totaly nice gear, and Very very! Nice specced.

Shaman's Earth Elemental DOES NOT aggro the mobs so it won't attack or tank them. (My guess is because they are neutral.)

Here's how I soloed this as an Affliction Warlock, Level 65.

Start with the succubus. Aggro the 2 non-elites and seduce the elite. You should be able to drain tank both of them without much trouble, if in doubt just Death Coil or even (instant) Howl of Terror and it should become simple.

Once the non-elites die, prepare to fearkite the elite. One thing you might have to watch out for, is that like mentioned, if he's kited too far away he resets. To minimize the luck factor, save your Death Coil for the last 10% or somewhere close, and as the last fear ends and he approaches, DC him. That will allow you to keep him in moderate and valid range, enabling you to finish him off safely. Once you "kill" him (~%1) he'll give up. Good luck!

I soloed this quest as a 65 Holy Priest, but I didn't actually fight anyone. I ran away after triggering the attack, then went AFK. Apparently if you just stand around this fellow , and someone else does the quest you get it too. I verified this with a level 65 Fire mage as well, and it appears to work.

I'm not sure if that's a bug, or what, but it works and makes this much easier.

Any mage can solo this. Just sheep Larry at the start as he is the only elite, then kill the 2 adds. Now you are free to deal with a level 65 elite that is vulnerable to frost bolt, nova, impact, etc. As frost just use frost bolt to kite him around using your elemental to freeze him along with nova every few seconds and you wont get hit. Piece of cake.

Soloable as a 68+ warrior but you need to be protection.

First I killed the other two guys before I started on Larry. When they died, I switched to battle stance, used Hamstring, then Concussion Blow, and ran to bandage myself while he limped over to me. Went back to defensive stance and tanked him for another minute while I slowly whittled his health down, dropped an intimidating shout, bandaged again, then popped Last Stand.

At 20% I switched back to battle stance for Execute spam which was enough to make Larry talk.

Soloed as a Boomkin.

Fairly simple, first of all, root, and keep rooted, the entire time, Larry.

Kill the two non-elites with assistance from your able treant buddies.

Bandage up.

Then insect swarm/starfire/root/starfire/root/starfire/repeat til he's dead. As long as you keep him rooted, he can't do a thing, and you can take your time. Just don't let him hit you =) Throw on an innervate if you're feeling lazy, but make sure that you start casting root as soon as the starfire is done in case the current one breaks.

The easiest way to do this quest: ask in general chat "Can anyone in Shatt spare a minute to help kill ruffian Larry, please!".

A level 70 Shadow Priest answered my call in seconds, and helped my fire spec Mage (probably easy to do solo as frost spec) by tanking Larry once I dealt with both the adds (one sheeped, one killed).

Soloed as a level 68 enhancement shaman.

It was fairly simple.

1) Drop all your totems including an earth elemental as soon as he starts the countdown
2) Cast chain lightning/ fire nova etc... after your elemental builds threat
3) Heal the earth elemetal
4) Dps him down

Your elemental will probably die but that is alright you can easily finish him off at 25-35%. After he is at 1% him and his guards stop attacking.

I solo this as a level 70 "Restokin" druid (34/0/27). Simply shape shift into a Moonkin, cast dirty Larry in entangling roots. Now simply take out is buddies, they go down pretty easy. Once his buddies are out of the way pop yourself a heal and start on dirty Larry. Keep him in roots and nail him with starfire, moonfire, insect swarm and wrath. For a 66 elite he goes down pretty easy.

I did this as a 67 Ret Paladin.

I talked to Larry, then backed up so I wouldn't get instant hit by all 3 right as they turn hostile. Then I took out the gnome and then dwarf, while Larry was stunned with Repentance/Hammer of Justice.

After they died, I healed and went after larry, Had to shield/Heal, but managed to do it

Funny story... so I go in and attack Larry.. I would have zero trouble taking him on myself.. but for the fact that about 10 seconds into the fight.. I turned into a zombie! hahaha! I didn't know I was infected!
Well... I got him down to about 1000 health.. but, in the end I died.. ah well...

I just soloed this quest as a 66 DK Unholy spec. killed Larry but had to use all of my cooldowns and trinkets. I would say just try to kill Larry, because his goons stop as soon as you defeat him.

Fairly easy as 66 Blood spec DK if you play it abit smart.

- Right as you talk to him, start burning down the noam (mmh), he should be dead before Lary engages.
- Chains of Ice on Lary, take distance, Death Grip Dwarf
- Burn down dwarf while using all frost runes on Chains of Ice to keep Lary off you
- Mark of Blood on Lary, full runic power Dancing Rune Weapon and go on him with Death Strikes.

Should be enough to outheal him, but you still got RuneTap, Icebound Fortitude in your sleeve.

I believe this quest is broken as of 15 December 2008. I solo'd at a 65 prot spec warrior but the quest did not complete after Larry gave up. In any case, to solo as a prot warrior, this is how I went about it:

1 Charge in, obviously
2 Open with TC, Shield Block, SWave
3 Do your normal prioritization rotation (SS, Revenge, Dev)
4 When the SB wore off i popped my dodge trinket (from hellfire)
5 When the trinket wore off I blew my Shield Wall
6 When SWall wore off I could SBlock again

Basically, survive as long as you can. Pretty simple, blew one pot just to be safe, but probably can do it without such.

In any case, yeah broken didn't work. Filed an issue :(

soloed with a 67 frost mage.
sheeped one friend, killed the other while larry talked. then summoned water elemental and kited larry around with frost bolt and ice lance.
let water elemental take aggro and meanwhile i killed the sheeped friend. water elemental died, used cold snap and got him out again. very easy fight. got out with like 70% hp and 40% mana.

Soloed as ealy as at lvl64 with a Death Knight. Unholy Spec, popped Frost Presence, Bone Shield, basically zerged Larry w/ all I've got, including Gargoyle. Icebound Fortitude near the end. Don't remember if I killed all the adds, at least one I am sure of, but when Larry submits they stop attacking so it doesn't really matter. Quest was orange BTW. Did NOT have to use any potions but did use all my cooldowns.

Well, i got the his location and a death knight was fighting him. i wasnt in his group but heal him to help and when Larry got beaten, i got my quest completed too :)
so i guess any healer can just land a heal when a fight occur and you'll get your quest completed.

Soled as Level 66 Death Knight under Blood Presence (Blood/Frost specced). After fight I was on about 10% HP, but that can be explained by the lag I had. I even forgot to use Horn of the Winter before the fight, and was not using any cooldowns (like Northbound Fortitude) during the fight.

First when timer showed up, I used Death and Decay and killed one of his 'friends'. Then just used a standard rotations on Larry (Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Heart Strike, Heart Strike etc) with addition of some Death Strikes and Rune Taps. It was not hard, no rush... just like a normal fight.

Well it was quite easy with my 65lvl shaman...
First deal with minions and then with Larry with just a couple of Healing waves.....
But be careful, YOU SHOULDN"T KILL DIRTY LARRY!
If you kill him you won't get quest mark so you need to beat him one more time so be careful (Try to avoid burning kind skills and critical hit chance)
(respawn time for Larry for me was 30 min, and 10 min for his minions).
It was my mistake first time...
Second time some guy "helped" me to kill Larry... again no quest mark...
So...
"YOU NEED JUST TO BEAT LARRY" until he has about 300-700 HP...
Then he stops attack you and you can talk to him again.
Then he will give you quest mark and you can be on your way...

Solo'd as a Level 67 elemental shaman.

Fairly simple, drop Wrath of Air, Mana Spring (nothing better with water), Totem of Wrath, and Earth Elemental.

Go speak to Larry, get max distance. When he engages, start out with a chain lighting (Elemental might bug and only hit Larry if you don't damage all of them at first since they're neutral) and then just Lightning Bolt.

The elemental should take aggro quite quickly, at that point, pop Elemental mastery, any trinkets you have, and just unload with Lightning Bolt, he should hopefully give up before your elemental dies, if not, then Chain Lighting, TC, and heal up, then hit a shock and then he should definitely be dead.

First off, no one cares how YOU did it (or not), clogs up for more useful info.
Second, does not count for Loremaster achievement (for Terror of Terokkar).

Edit: Soloed easily as a level 80 Elemental Shaman. Cast a single chain lightning to kill both adds, then lava burst Dirty Harry for the win.

Barely managed to solo this as a level 67 Shadow Priest. After a couple failed attempts, I wasn't able to kill his partners first without taking too long to get the completion for the quest. Shattrath was also dead, so there wasn't a chance of anyone coming to help me.

I bubbled up, waited a few for the debuff to fade, waited for him to count down and immediently sent my shadowfiend after him. This gave me a few seconds to dot him up before he turned his attention to me. I immediently followed up with Psychic Scream and Horror to keep him from pounding on me. I had to pop one potion, but I did manage to finish it on my own.

Mind control doesn't appear to work, as you get the message "Can't attack that target" if you grab any one of them to help. =/

Solod as 64 BM hunter with worm. Ignored adds, sent worm after larry, popped BW, rapidfire, devilsaur tooth, intimidation, blood fury, and bladefists breadth. used arcane and multi when off CD, laced in steady. Kept healing up on worm. Worm died right as larry did. First try. Never kited, never trapped, thought larry had to initiate fight, so waited for him to attack, lol.

1. While he is counting down attack his two mates they are eisely killed and then go on him, he isn't very had when fist the teo others are gone..

talk to him, was able to kill 1 add before Larry finished counting, kill the other add, then pop all cd's, stab,stab,stab and larry died :)

Soloed as 67 Feral Druid.

Talk to Larry and *as soon* as he starts talking cat-attack the first add. You should be able to kill him before Larry gets finished with his spiel.

Now, Root Larry and back up as the other non-elite chases you. Cat him down quick and shift to bear for Larry.

Frenzied regen and a health pot along with liberal mangles and lacerate whenever the CD is up.

A bit of a challenge to solo as a Holy Paladin (buffed with BoW, Concentration Aura, and SoW). I had thought all 3 ruffians were elites so i tried to kill Larry first. That didn't work so well...

So for a few minutes of mainly killing Larry, I had gotten him to about 70%(60% of my mana left) I had also just figured out Malone and Creepjack were not elites. So I stunned Larry with HoJ and bursted down the adds with Exorism and a Divine Favored Holy Shock.

After the adds were dead i had around 30% mana left. I just exorismed, judged wisdom, and holy shocked every cooldown until he was dead.

WARNING: You will probably die within 5 seconds of battle without Flash of Light spamming until full health every few seconds (that's the mana killer if you never get any attacks in to proc SoW).

I finished with about 10% mana and full health. Of course just then I had forgoten I had 2 SP trinkets and Divine Illumination. >.< So I bet any smart Holy Paladin could solo this a bit easier than me.

I guess retadins (90% of pallies at this lvl) could stun Larry and kill the adds then bubble-nuke Larry.

Cannamun, Horde- Detheroc geared in mostly AH ...of the elder greens and a few blues from instances/group quests.

Solo'd this with 64 MM hunter 1st try. It was hell of a challenge.
Saying to melee classes that this quest is almost impossible to solo without kiting.

Easily solo'ed as level 66 Affliction warlock mainly because Dirty Larry is Fear'able. I used the Voidwalker pet and turned on both auto-taunts. The two adds have about 6k health, the elite has about 25k. I simply Corr and CoA the two adds immediately at the start of the fight, the elite was taunted or aggroed too. I put up Unstable Affliction on both adds and ignored them as they quickly died. My pet had about half health at this time. I Corr and CoA the elite then Health Funnel healed the pet until I got back aggro from the elite. As the elite came towards me I was already starting to cast Fear. As he ran away I put on both UA and Haunt. Kept Fear kiting him (think I did it two more times) and reapplying UA (possibly Haunt too) until he reached 25% health then I just Drain Soul'd him. Much easier than other elites I've had to handle in the Terokkar Forest zone (Torgos, I'm looking at you!). Should be very solable for any affliction warlock 64+ since I had no extra buffs, BoA, twink gear or consumables.

Solo'd this as a L65 feral druid. When he counts down to '3', throw up thorns, rejuv, and regrowth. Be sure to have mark of the wild on as well. When he goes hostile, root him and then go cat form. Mangle the crap out of his henchmen; they should die quickly. Get to full health and rake/mangle Larry until you have max combo points, then do Rip. I consumed a health potion and a mana potion, as well as innervate during this fight.

Easy solo as 65 Rogue. Start the convo, kill the guards. Then kill him. Used Adrenaline Rush, Evasion and one Health Pot.

Backed up when he counted
Rooted the elite
Had nature grasp up, which also rooted one of the non elites.
Dotted both of them, surge killed one, and then shooting stars procced and killed the second.
Finally it was just me and the elite. He hits hard. Had to keep rejuv up and used regrowth x4 and innvervate.

Fortunately I had hit solar eclipse with the non elites, so I ended up just backing up and spamming surge and sunfire. Still almost didn't make it. Hurray for Lunar Shower

Solo'd as a 66 Feral druid by loosely following Malsis advice (thx btw). Took both adds out using kitty form while Larry was still talking and then focused on Larry still using DPS, used rejuve/regrowth and Barkskin when CD's allowed. Took a few attempts but easy once you know how.

Just did this quest on my lvl 64 Warrior. I killed the 2 adds before he counted to 3, and then I used a potion mid fight against larry. barely got it, too. :D Oh, and for some reason, you cant use victory rush after killing the adds.
Doh, just realized they dont give exp, so victory rush doesnt take effect.

Personally solo'd this as a priest. Pretty easy with the use of the bubble. His friends stayed neutral after I killed them the first time, and did not aggro when I was still fighting Larry.

FYI, this quest does NOT count toward "Terror of Terokkar" for the Loremaster Achievement.
