Fun fact:
Krasus is the name of one of the main characters from the Warcraft Books, in particular "Day of the Dragon", and the "War of the Ancients Trilogy."

He's a dragon mage who is one of the leads of the Kirin Tor.

I found them all in one room houses. (you can see them, by looking in the door). There is 1 guard in each house but patrols walk by.

I use Cartographer to get the fractional coordinates. It really helps in this area, as stuff is so close together.

Also while in this area, watch out for these mobs, each of them drops an item that starts a simple quest. Great exp if you do all 4!

Do not skip this quest. Not only is it easy experience, but at the quest location there are four more quests, aswell as four quests from dropped items (from named mobs: Conjurer Luminrath, Cohlien Frostweaver, Battle-Mage Dathric and Abjurist Belmara).

You can actually do this Q without doing the prequests. Some dude in Shattrath summoned this guy and I accidentally accepted this Q and completed it without any buggs/glitches.

It is easy solo 1 mob in each room but be carefull more are coming from patrols a frost resistance in this quest would be nice

They are in the 1 room houses at the coords mentioned above. They are golden glowing scrolls, and they are easy to miss.

EZ-mode as a Deep 70Fire Mage:

-Stand at 41 yards range, pop Combustion and start casting a Pyroblast.
-Then pop a Spelldmg trinket and quickly cast your fireball, since Scorch still is not in range.
-Now simply blast him with scorches, and other "quick casting" spells including instants.

The clue is to side step away from him when he is 50% away from casting a frostbolt while still in the building, so that his spell gets interrupted because he can't see his target:) When he gets out, simply avoid his DoT-Spots and nuke him down.

Finished with about 70%HP and 60% Mana.

I remember when I first seen this guy.. I was in Warsong Gulch, and the Alliance came in with our flag to return it, I grabbed the flag, looked up a bit, and he was standing right where the Alliance flag lays. Is this odd, or is it normal to see him in random places?

Krasus Is the name of the Red Dragon Korialstrasz.
Whom Is a consort to Alexstrasza the Life-Binder, queen of the Red Dragonflight.

He uses this name In his High Elf guise, as a member of the Six, the leaders of the Kirin Tor of Dalaran.

Current known members of the Six include.

Rhonin - Current Leader, replacing Antonidas after his death In the seige of Dalaran.
Aethas Sunreaver - Possible replacement for Kael'thas after his defection to the Illidari, then Burning Legion.
Modera - Former apprentice of Antonidas.

the lore is nice and the map is ok.. but for those of us that choose not to use mods or other UIs could someone please point this out in simple directions.. I have made it 69 levels on my own and now I look for help cause I am dumbfounded

Locate fountain in town square. No water in it but it has a statue and is right out in the open. Charpter one is to the house east of the trees north of the fountain. Chapter two is in the house south of the fountain and chapter three is located in the house north of the trees follow the path north 1st house west.

When facing south from the Violet Tower (into the village) Chapter 1 is to your right, Chapter 2 is straight ahead, and Chapter 3 is to your left directly behind the Tower. As already stated, all are in 1-room houses.

Since abandoning quests now destroys the associated quest items you'll have to pick the staff back up from Ravandwyr if you accidentally or intentionally abandoned the quest.

Whatever you do...dont forget to use Vargoth's Staff to summon the Archmage to turn the quests into....instead of running around desperately searching for that ever elusive gold ? on your map lol.

I just found the quest giver and got this quest during a run through heroic Upper Blackrock Spire. The UBRS that was updated for Warlords of Draenor. He was just before the exit of the arena where you fight Commander Tharbeck. I've never seen him there before this run. Strange.

• Accept the quest, Krasus's Compendium, from the Image of Archmage Vargoth, which can be summoned by clicking on the Archmage Vargoth's Staff you were provided.
• Travel southeast to a building whose entrance is located at coords 57.6, 89.4.
- - Click on Krasus' Compendium - Chapter 2.
• Travel southeast to a building whose entrance is located at coords 58.6, 89.0.
- - Click on Krasus' Compendium - Chapter 1.
• Travel southeast to a building whose entrance is located at coords 58.9, 88.0.
- - Click Krasus' Compendium - Chapter 3.
• Use your Archmage Vargoth's Staff, and turn in the quest to the Image of Archmage Vargoth.

NOTE: If you have Archmage Vargoth's Spare Staff in your collection, you can use this to summon Image of Archmage Vargoth.

I was trying to interact with the glowing objects when I first entered the area. Was disappointed since nothing happened, but then I was glad to see that the items were actually part of a quest after all. :)

I've had this quest sitting in my log forever and I found myself at Area 52 for an engineering quest from the Legion xpac so I thought I'd pop over and do this while I was in the vicinity.

I picked up all the pages and then realised the staff to summon Vargoth was in my bank. I didn't have a Jeeves to access my bank, it was a long way back to Shattrath just to pick up the staff, so I wondered if the staff I had from other toons was already in my toy collection.

The staff that's in the toy journal isn't the same, but I clicked on it anyway and it summoned Archmage Vargoth and I was able to hand in the quest to continue!

Description

The Kirin Tor sent one other of Krasus's possessions with our expedition. It was his spellbook, called Krasus's Compendium. Containing all the spells he mastered, it lent us a much-needed advantage in the war.

Before Kael'thas and his forces laid siege to Kirin'Var, the compendium had been stolen from me by a rebellious apprentice intent on studying necromancy. The apprentice and his followers divided and studied the text in secret, locking themselves inside their houses in the southern part of town.
