This quest seem to suffer from the same bug as the intro quest where you learn how to do these digs. If someone else is currently doing it, it can fail. You get to 100% but can't pick up item. Trick seems to just wait until others are done and dig it solo.

Having a bug were the Helpful Winds can't find a pathing.

Make sure you go talk to Roska Rocktooth to begin the excavating quest The Cache in the Crag.

Horse and BUGGY! it appears that you cannot do a dig if someone else is doing it, which has been mentioned. I tried to start the 2nd of 2 digs and left my first one incomplete ~ anyway I finally got my chance to do it and both digs completed at once lol. So just go back and get your first sellable junk artifact if this is the case.

If you're struggling with what to do on this quest, you have to keep dropping the totems next to the swirling dirt, then click the totem, and then wait for the elemental to do it's thing. Dragging the elemental to the piles won't do anything.

Roska isn't where the map says he is (the tent) for turn-in of the first part; I eventually found him right by the Major Find. So helpful.

Description

Nothing like brisk ocean air to get you in the mood to dig! We're standing in the rubble of an ancient dragonkin fishing village. These dragonkin were ancestors of the blue dragonkin that live on the island today. Humble as it is, the remote location means it's gone relatively undisturbed by treasure hunters. If there's anything left that hasn't fallen into the sea, we'll find it!
