The rings are weirdly inconsistent, you can go around them multiple times, change your angle, be inside and outside the lines and nothing registers. If nothing registers, I left the area for a little bit and came back and the rings worked fine again, so either do that or abandon.

Have to say I wasn't thrilled to see this mechanic make a reappearance. For those having trouble, some of the comments on Pop Quiz: Advanced Rune Drawing might be helpful. I couldn't get the first big ring to complete until I turned on RP walk and sorta of wiggled back and forth across the whole line.

Don't know if this will help anyone since it might bug in different places, but I couldn't get the first big ring to trigger (center of the room) until I stood/slowly walked around /way 45.89 25.66

If you draw the big circle first it worked for me. If you leave it last it would not complete after drawing the smaller circles and I had to RP walk to finish the big circle.

Ny "drawing", they mean run the lines.

If it doesn't work the first time, just run the circle again cause most likely you have missed a step somewhere.

Didnt realize you had to do the lines in the middle, I thought the other commenters meant the middle line you had to trace first...

I kept using the /reload command to try again. Eventually the big ring finally took.

As with a number of quests I did not notice that the quest is activate by pushing the button which was overlapping my top row of action bars. I ran around looking for objects to "activate" until I noticed that i needed to push the button with the blue vial on it.

I was aware of this being bugged and did all of them by RP walking. One circle failed to complete no matter what I did. I suspect it didn't work because another player drew it before I was able to complete it.

I did a /reload and was able to draw again.

Walking backwards works too and it's faster than RP walking.

If you're moving and not hearing any noise then you aren't in the design where you need to be.

If you use / to walk, and then walk the biggest circle to the smallest, they will complete early :)

The previous quest in this series released energy to 3 sections of the platform. Use the extra action button to activate the rune when you step on the revolving, glowing pattern on the ground.

I will leave this for anyone having this issue the third rune spot would not show up I tried /reload logging out leaving the area and abandoning the quest as a last resort before reporting it and moving on I disabled my addons and finally that fixed whatever issue there was.

This quest summarises the state of WoW these days - a buggy, nonfunctional mechanic that players historically didn't like, but Blizzard implemented again anyway because they can't come up with any new ideas.

Look for an extra icon action, likely covering your existing action bars. It looks like a troll juice bottle. Click it, then walk around the purple broken lines to makes circles.

For some reason the big circle wouldn't fill up when you're in ghost wolf as if you're doing it too fast(lol). Just shapeshift back to normal and it should work.

Method that worked for me

Work the runes one at a time, starting each one from the largest circle.

If the biggest circle will complete successfully within a couple or three times circling it, complete the entire rune and go to the next one.

If it won't complete, /reloadui and start the rune over (this will only reset incomplete runes, preserving progress on completed ones). Keep trying this until the large circle completes successfully, which for me took 2 or 3 tries.

Repeat until you've completed all 3 runes.

Druids:
The big circles won't complete while you're in cat form no matter what you do.
None of the workarounds people are posting will work if you are shapeshifted, you have to pop out of form for this one.
The smaller circles will work just fine though. So buggy.

Problem:

This quest (and the whole "draw a rune" mechanic) was coded by someone who was either a sadist or an idiot. Instead of checking if you've walked over a set number of nodes placed evenly around each "rune" (circle), it actually checks how many steps you've taken over the rune, while ignoring steps over "smokey" areas. But if your character has any sort of speed buff (from talents, shapeshift, items, etc.), your steps will be slightly bigger than the quest's "auteur" expected, the smoke puffs will be placed very slightly further apart, and they'll completely cover the rune before you reach the arbitrary number of steps the quest is expecting. If you're lucky, you might find some gaps between smoke puffs by walking over the rune a second or third time, but in some cases there won't be any (because the puffs are bigger than your actual steps).

Solution:

Restart the quest and move slowly (ex., press to enable walk, or walk backwards instead of forwards). This will make your steps shorter, the smoke puffs will be dropped closer together, and won't prevent other steps from being counted. In fact, this will convince the game that you've "drawn" the full rune although you very clearly haven't (it will count as drawn when you've walked about 2/3rds).

- TIP a) Increase the graphic details - to better see the circles on the ground.
- TIP b) It is recommended to switch run moving to slow walking.

1.) You will see a "Shake Jar" in the action bar after accepting the task. Throw this vial on the ground and 3 pink circles will light up there. These three circles must be passed through as creators of images and lines in Nazca.

2.) Venderthvan still nothing, this time you have the same quest, but 3 times, but the bottle is nowhere? It is necessary to visit the portals on the balconies of the tower, one by one all three.
- This time the first picture is smaller
- The second picture there are 4 circles, it happened that individual circles were activated without stepping on them all, but the picture was activated anyway, and the text 2/3 was displayed
- The third portal there are 5 circles, step on it and you have a 3/3 and a yellow question mark above the head of a sitting Venderthvan.

If you're having trouble seeing the runes, go into Options>Graphics and turn Texture Resolution up.
