If you get ported to the islands to you need to fly to the southern barrens. It's near Vendetta Point where the road goes to the left. There are small structures (you can see from the guy's video he posted). Andantenormu will teleport out of a portal and take you back to complete the quest.

Anyone done this on a Night Elf. I'm ending up at the graveyard in Sentinel Hill and there's nothing there. Any one know where the portal should be for Night Elves?

Update: I got the quest to complete for my Night Elf by flying over to Northshire Abbey, just in front of the Abbey.

If you're an Undead. Talk to Zidormi right outside Undercity to go back in time then go back to the graveyard pick up the quest that The Valkyr has. Once accepted the undead intro cinematic will start. Skip it and the quest will complete and a portal will spawn.

Currently broken for my troll. She ends up on Echo Isles, and no one is around to teleport her back. Relog/reload didn't work. I explored the area a bit, still nothing.

had to speak to zidormi to flip the the pre BFA version to Tiristfal and return to the forsaken starting spot. this triggered the char creation cinematic and then the NPC and portal popped up like it should have. my toon was a template if that matters.

this was during late beta

So this is insanely busted for Pandaren.

You get the cutscene as if you first made a pandaren, but it freezes, stops, and brings you to Stormwind gates.. where you cannot move and cannot turn.

AND it resets your hearthstone to elwynn forest.

I get ported in front of Orgrimmar as an Alliance pandaren and then I get stuck here forever Hearthsone gets reset to Dranosh'ar Blockade too
(edit: I reloged right after getting ported to Orgri and it worked)

As a Demon Hunter it played the DH intro cutscene and I ended up on Mardum.

Pretty neat little quest that's tied to your race or class. (Though it sucks that so many of them seem to be bugged atm)

This quest makes 0 sense to anyone who played one of the OG races pre-cata, my first time wouldn't be in the cata world revamp, would have been a nice touch if they could've ported at least the little zone from classic for us OGs but reading the other comments it seems they can't even getting working for normal class/races.

This is a really neat little quest (if it works). Once you click the third thingy you'll be sent back to your character creation spot with the intro cutscene playing, at which point Andantenormu will apologise and ask that you come back. If you're stunned IRL, like I was, and accidentally ignore Andantenormu, he will get frustrated and manually teleport you back after about 20 seconds and a heavy sigh.

It's a pity this seems bugged for so many. As a human, it worked fine and I have to say it's a long time since a quest made me genuinely laugh out loud IRL. It's a truly fantastic concept, and I really hope they can iron out the wrinkles (in time) and make this work for everyone.

This is a hilarious quest to go through. When Blizzard does a joke quest, they know how to go all out.

For me this brought up some interesting questions. Since it plays the cinematic again in that point in time, does this mean that the narrator is canon? Who is he? Is he a disembodied voice? A person? Who knows!

This quest made me sob. What the hell. I still remember the first time I created my character, and she has been my main since 2007. To see her standing there in her new, modern gear, new hair and accessories, made me just... incredibly emotional. What a good quest, really.

Hi all

I present You Storyline Time Management. This Storyline is part of Just Don't Ask Me to Spell It which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. The Flow of Time - See Chromie 57.46 78.90
2. Temporal Difficulties - Go to 54.96 75.66
3. Haven't Got Time For the Pain - Get 2 items: Timewalker Notes 53.2 77.3 then Slay Crazed Alpha in cave 52.9 76.8 and pick up in cave Timewalker Staff is on ground.
4a. Time is Running Out - Pick Up 8 Temporal Collector, is a crystals big on ground around.
4b. Time in a Bottle - Kill mobs and collect orbs to get energy until 100%
6. Feels Like the First Time - Follow NPC then speak with him then press on crystals and you will be teleported. after conversation enter orange portal. Then follow back NPC.
7a. Times Like These - Loot 100 Temporal Residue from animals.
7b. If We Could Turn Back Time - First press on Time Rift 58.6 78.2 then go to Siaszerathel 59.8 79.3 then close 2nd Time Rift then go close next Time Rift 59.9 77.2 and speak with Aeonormu He will come from portal.
9. Closing Time - Get 100% by using extra bar on enemy, closing portals or picking up Time-Lost Amulet.
10. Catching Up to Chromie - Fly to 59.6 81.6 on platform.
11a. Time-Locked Timewalkers - Free 8 Timewalkers from Time Bubbles. Timewalkers are in Orange Bubbles use on them eztra button spell
11b. Cracks in Time - Go to west and ease crystals press on them then pull out. Crystals break into small pieces pick them up to 100.
11c. Quelling Causalities - Kill mobs until 100%
14. The Once and Future Team - Go 60.61 83.39 use extra bar and pull barier. Then slay Colossal Causality.
15. The Never-Final Countdown - Speak with Chromie Movie will start. Finishing this quest will finish storyline.

The very first character I made back during TBC was my Nightelf Huntress, the same character I still main today and have throughout my years in the game. So doing this quest and being thrown back to Teldrassil was an emotional journey I didn't expect to go on.

I know I can make a new Nightelf and hang in the starting zone but my Huntress, whom I've taken all across Azeroth and beyond, can never go back. But then for a brief moment she was back in Teldrassil, back home.

As a worgen I got teleported to Gilneas, but for some reason I was standing nearly inside a burning cart. As such, as the cinematic ended and it zoomed up to my character, all I could see was a face of burning wood.

I had a crazy idea to try and redo the starting zone quests on my Pandaren for more rep with Shang Xi's Academy (a Pandaren-only faction that is capped at honored 8500/12000). However, there were no quests for me to pick up on the Wandering Isle :(

Man I cracked up as soon as it flashed my character in the starting zone before doing the cinematic.

As a long-time player (started in BC) it was also really cool to see the updated cinematic that reflects things that have happened since I rolled this toon.

What's funny is this blood-el f was originally a human that I faction-changed in late Cata. So upon being ported to the blood elf starting area, all the a quests were available. I started to do Reclaiming Sunstrider Isle thinking maybe we had to do 1-2 to get back, but then I got ported.

As much as I'd love to appreciate this quest, having played a gnome since 2005 and getting ported to Gnomeregan instead of Coldridge Valley feels low effort and cheap. Sum that to the amount of reported bugs... It's disappointing.

Sigh....do not do this quest while instanced. It will force you to leave, and you will receive consequences as applicable (got a deserter buff for solo queue since I accepted the 40 minute-queue mid quest). I hate it here.

as a Vulpera it was only to Orgrimmar but it was a nice touch. don't know if it was just coincidence but the only players near the Vulpera camp were both level 10

Kul Tiran players who have never been to Boralus and keep getting teleported to Stormwind can talk to Anduin in the war room and accept his quest Tides of War to go to Kul Tiras. Once there, you should be teleported back to this quest. If you do not see Tides of War, it may be The Nation of Kul Tiras, which is the second step in the quest, which may be there because you finished the first quest already and didnt follow through.

My main is a Dark Iron Dwarf mage, was originally a Gnome (race changed during BFA to get the Mole Machine ability).

During this quest, I was teleported to Shadowforge City (the Dark Iron Dwarf starting location), where the starting breadcrumb quest "Fer the Alliance" was available (since I had never done it). Curious what would happen, I accepted the quest before being pulled back to Thaldraszus. I am now a level 70 Dark Iron Dwarf who has my race's intro breadcrumb in their quest log. And I am inclined to neither abandon it nor turn it in.

Blizz would have gotten major extra points here for matching the teleport to the starting location and intro of the character (i.e. had I gotten the pre-Cata gnomish intro in Coldridge rather than the Dark Iron intro, and seen the Gnome version of my character from way back then). I very much get why that might be impossible, though. Still a top notch quest, but definitely more fun if you never did your race's intro quest (for whatever reason).

I was able to pick up the Pandaren starting quest The Lesson of the Iron Bough. I think I'll share it in every group I get into just to confuse people...

I never actually completed it when I started because I was a Gnome and race changed to Pandaren when Mists of Pandaria was current.

After Andantenormu forced me back to the Dragon Isles, rather than turning in the quest, I made my way back to Shadowglen (nightelf starting area). Andantenormu showed back up there as well, and again force-portaled me back to the Dragon Isles.

Alas, as a goblin, when I showed up in Kezan I tried abandoning the quest to see what would happen. I still got ported back to Thaldrazsus.

Plus side, meant I got to do the quest again. Just for fun, I used my second account to farm some Kaja Cola and traded it to myself while I was there!

Haha! I loved this! Only 1 problem for me though... My gnome was created back when the gnomes started in Coldridge Valley, along with the dwarves, so that was his origin story. But he was sent down into Gnomeregan anyway, which doesn't make sense to my specific character.
I understand they wouldn't have been able to account for this, but still ^^

I got the racial starter cutscene on my DK which has been my main since 2012. While pretty cool in itself, getting the old DK cutscene would've knocked it out of the park for me. I do understand why it didn't happen though, due to technical limitations.

Funny fact, my Worgen hunter was created as a Tauren Hunter way back in vanilla and so he never completed the Gilnean starting zone.
I managed to grab Lockdown! from Prince Liam Greymane while stunned.
Wish I could follow up on it... Phasing unfortunately doesn't allow it, he isn't there in the city if you return.

Funny happenstance. I ended up pausing my levelling right at this quest, then proceeded to get sidetracked doing the basic BfA unlocks. When I triggered the Alliance entering Boralus cutscene, I was teleported back to this questgiver. Mostly harmless bug, but funny that any cutscene can trigger the teleport back.

If you abandon this quest at a certain stage, you will teleport back to the quest giver. Likely as part of an attempt to keep people from returning to certain starting zones they shouldn't be able to remain in, like the Wandering Isle.

Which incidentally also has a 1 minute failsafe that forces a factioned character away regardless.

When I saw the intro cutscene for gnomes and was teleported to Gnomeregan I smiled widely thinking what an amazing quest. I felt the same butterflies inside my stomach I had back in the past when I was starting my adventure with this character and WoW in general. It would be cool if we had the task of clearing a dungeon or doing some starting quests again. But still this one minute was nice.

On an earthen, it just sends you back to an empty campsite in the Barrens. I presume this is the place characters of races released post-DF get sent to.
