To complete this quest you need use Orb of Revelation to find and kill the 5x Dreadlord Infiltrator.
The spys have a red border, I found they on the following coords:

To complete this quest you need to track down and defeat 5 Dreadlord Infiltrators.
You dont normally see which mob is should be defeated, use provided Orb of Revelation.
After using the orb some mobs will be highlighthed by scarlet aura. Those ones are the targets.
Quest targets can be found all within the quest area, just walk around.

In case you are having issues finding them, I found a good spot - Go to /way 37.5, 24. There are a bunch of dredgers in this area - 5 of them were infiltrators for me.

You may have trouble turning in the quest because the quest giver keeps moving out of range to interact. All you can really do is dance around until he gets close enough.

Hi all

I present The Unseen Guests Storyline part of Chains of Domination which is the criteria for Breaking the Chains. This Story line have 12 Quests. To start it You need to have 50 Renown.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Dreadlords!	Storyline starts from Baroness Vashj 60 27 and You need to speak with The Primus 62 26.
2 Dread Tidings	First Speak with Baroness Vashj in Revendreth 29 41. Then Use Mirror 29 43.
3 Convoy of the Covenants	First speak with Chelra the Bladewall 27 41 then go to 33 41 and use Prince Renathal's Carriage to ridde.
4 The Unseen Guests	Be prepared to be hit by the mirror xD. You will be move to other location after conversation
5 Nal'ragas	Go to 29 21 then move straight over the wall after every animation then at the end slay Nal'ragas
6 Spy vs Spy	Use Orb of Revelation to see Spyes ( they will have aura ) You need to kill 5 Dreadlord Infiltrator.
7 De-Infiltration	Jump on Navrataal to get to Sinfall.
8 Cryptograms	You need to slay 3 mobs to see them use Orb of Revelation. In Upper Sinfall You can find 2 and 1 on lower Sinfall Use mirror to get there.
9 The "Unwelcome" Guests	Press on 10 Infernal Cryptogram You can find them on walls around is more then 10 of them. Use Mirror to get to lower Sinfall.
10 The Power of a Crown	Use mirror to get to Lower Sinfall and move to 27 44 then move to 25 45
11 The Nathrezim	Follow The Stonewright to 22 45 Then Kill 2 mobs and after slay Mal'Ganis. Cinematic will start.
12 The Meaning of Wrath	Go back to The Primus in Korthia.

If you stand still, Baroness Vashj, from whom you take this quest, is too far to interact. If you move a bit closer to her, she moves too. You can't take this quest unless you click her and click accept quest button very quickly, before she moves and gets too far away from you to interact. Classic trolling.

As a Demon Hunter, you can also identify the infiltrators using spectral sight.

They will have a purple aura about them, spinning like a sigil.

Click on your Orb of Revelation, and if any are near, they show up for a few seconds as a yellow dot on your mini-map

I’m actually having trouble killing them after I reveal them. I’m not sure why. I’ve been questing in Korthia with no real troubles and I’ve died three times here. I called it a night so I can try to figure out what I’m doing wrong.

I’m a Balance Druid 204 iLevel if that helps.

Dear Blizzard,

Please code better. Lady Vashj stays just out of reach for me to take this quest. I had to spam interacting with her and got lucky after at least ten tries to get this quest from her....

Ps Why is this area so overtuned? I am a 226Rsham and even I am struggling to stay alive.. can't imagine how those without sufficient self heals are even completing this...

Three things are important on this quest:

Pull the infiltrators one by one. Sometimes they are linked either with other infiltrators or elites
Avoid the Carrion Swarm at all cost. It hits like a truck
The area with the dredgers on the lower level is a bit easier to handle

I can only assume the respawn rate of these Dreadlord Infiltrators is very long because it's taken 20 minutes to find 2 so far. Very infuriating quest.

They drop every few minutes at this location /way 36.62 22.30. Two will spawn in front of the small arched doorway and one out on the extended platform. After running around for half an hour, I saw Alliance group kill them around this location. Decided to camp it and sure enough in 3-4 minutes they reappeared and again in the next 3-4 minutes. Stand at these coordinates and turn from side to side to watch for spawns. Got all 5 here within 7 minutes.

Seems this is another classic Blizz "bring a helper who does nothing if you're ranged or have a pet" quest.

The orb does not work like you think it should. If you find an infiltrator it will not change
their designation. What it will do is put a faint sparkly aura around the infiltrator. What
you have to do is to attack the mob while that aura is active. And let me add if you
do that with a cleave* type attack or aoe** you will aggro every damn yellow anywhere
close, most of who are elites.

The aura does not stay active for very long so you need to be ready to attack immediately.

* Mages Ice Lance, Warlock's Havoc,
** Druids Sunfire and Starfire.

At 29,29 there's another spot with groups of non-elite dredgers which made it easy for me as an ilvl 207 warrior. Reveal the infiltrator and then charge in with all blades flying, AOEing the easy non-elites, gaining your Victory Rush, interrupt the Carrion Swarm and finish off the enemy with almost full health. Rinse and repeat in that area and you're done within a few minutes.

In regards to Baroness Vashi to hand in the quest, just let her settle and tap the back arrow until you're close enough. Don't try to get cuddly with her. We are meant to be social distancing after all :P

I've got to agree with others - these Buggers are nasty. One at a time, try and silence Carrion Swarm if at all possible, and try watch for other people around, if a couple of you attack at once it is a lot easier.

Terrible quest design like pretty much everything in this xpac.

Try not to attack groups, because weirdly they'll attack you whether they're Dreadlords or not (you'd think they'd attack the dreadlords, but that would make sense).

Also, watch for Carrion Swarm because it hits you for like 20k (another reason not to attack groups).

Also, the dredgers go from like 7k hp to 60k hp if they turn into dreadlords. So a bunch can seem like easy kills but they're not.

One of the more annoying quests I've had to do.

Vashj will multishot, pulling any elite mobs standing around the Nathrezim you tag. Kael'Thas literally does nothing to help, either. And then, of course, the mini-game you have to play with Vashj when trying to turn in. Also, Carrion Swarm MUST be interrupted, or you're toast.

Vashj is unclickable, and when you go into Sinfall to find Dreadlords with Kael'thas, you find... Kael'thas, being tormented.

We'll never know if this questline was the result of Blizzard™ brand incompetence, or the devs were distracted by that afternoon's Cube Crawl.

Did this as ilvl 186 balance druid. Find the Hewn Protectors up on top that are ALONE. It may take a while, but they do respawn. Hit them them once, let them aggro on Vashj - she will tank. Watch for the Carrion Swarm cast and dodge or just run out of range, they don't go very far. Keep hitting him in between Carrion Swarm and down he goes. Keep in mind that you can't just hit him once and stand back - you won't get credit for the kill. Guess how I know that. :P

If you're having trouble turning in this quest as Vashj keep moving a way, run/fly to a spot so she no longer visible then use the Orb of Revelation; Vashj will appear and come to YOU.

Attack neutral target.
Target becomes enemy Dreadlord.
All neutral surrounding mobs help Dreadlord.
Now I'm soloing 4 elites that aren't easy but still doable with cooldowns.

came here to say that a quest that one shots you, with the NPCs assigned to help you, just stand there, and after killing several, still no credit for killing them. And that you have to come to WOWHEAD to get info, is extremely POORLY DESIGNED.

The 37.5 24 spot with the dredgers is actually okay, you can stand just out of range of the spiders and target a yellow dredger. Turns out you don't even need the stupid Orb of Revelation. If you attack one that's actually a dreadlord it turns into a dreadlord. If it's not, you just kill it to get it out of the way.

The respawn rate seemed pretty quick. The dredger/dreadlord I killed first respawned while I was still eating, and I killed it again immediately as a dredger/dreadlord.

Don't pull more than 2 of anything at a time.

Ignore the bolt and interrupt the Carrion Swarm.

And yeah, this is a simply terrible quest, especially since you MUST complete it to move along with the story.

If you're having trouble clicking Vashj, put yourself in walk mode (use the "/" button on the number pad to walk instead of run), move toward her and click her and accept the quest at the same time. Once you do, put the walk mode back to run by pressing the "/" again.

Use Orb of Revelation, that you get upon accepting this quest. Once you use it, the targets around are yellow (neutral). You're looking to kill the NPCs called Dominance Soulbenders (they will be elites, so don't bother with the dredgers or laborers as they do not change and don't count toward the kills). Once attacked they *become* infiltrators, and are of course, hostile. You'll also aggro anything nearby, so try to find one on their own, and crowd control if you have two.

To turn in, the same problem as before with Vashj moving too far away to click to turn in the quest. Go on walk toward her, or just stand still and pivot in a circle so that she is eventually clickable.

Vash pulls the non-dreadlord mob, and Kael stands there doing nothing.
I kill the dread lord, but im stuck in combat because of Vash.
More npcs appear for no reason to help the npc vash pulls.

This quest is bull*!@#. Nearby mobs remain loyal even if the target turns out to be an infiltrator.

There are four Dominance Souldbenders at 35 20, The one infiltrator can be pulled away from the others easily if you get behind it and has a quick respawn rate. It took me about 10 minutes to get this done.

I found this one very difficult but I finally got it by using interrupt and keep moving. I didn't have any health potion so I would kill one, die repeat

There is a Mire Dredger next to a Dominance Dreadblade both standing in front of a cauldron.
The Dredger is non elite and seems to always respawn as a Dreadlord Infiltrator (quest objective).
I killed him five times to complete this quest. He respawns in about one minute, which worked
out nice so my cool downs were reset. His Carrion Swarm spell is devistating to your health, so
try to interrupt it or get out of its way.

For some reason, mobs on this quest hit harder with their Carrion Swarm ability than Mal'Ganis himself does, even though he is the end boss of this quest chain. You want to interrupt or avoid Carrion Swarm at all costs if you have any hope of finishing this quest without dying.

Ad 32.76 19.70 standing a few soul benders practice their spells. at the back is a traitor pul him outside and you can kill .
you get help from your baroness. He spawns fast enough to make all 5 kills at him.
Don't stand at their place it will track their friends starting to kill you too!

Absolutely the vilest quest in this whole expansion! Thank goodness for syncing in a group so that you can get help!
In terms of Lady Vashj and turning it in? I tried all the tips in this thread and nothing worked. To turn it in, I had to strafe
with her to be in range!

One of them is at 33.22 19.53. Attacking it doesn't bring other mobs to attack you. I just stay there and wait for it to respawn.

Since the Dreadlords all hang about with other Stoneborne, and these guys are targetable yellow mobs, you kinda need to seperate them before spamming damage. DK's are laughing here, since we can just back off towards a conveniently empty area, hit the "reveal the bad dude" stone and death grip them over to beat to death. Other classes should have some kind of taunt available, but if not good luck folks*.

You have two NPCS with you during the mission, Baroness Vashj, and Kael'thalas. The naga is quite happy to lend a but, appears to deal very littel damage at all, and can't hold aggro to save her life. Admittedly, she's not really a tank, but what other purpose do NPC's server other than as meatsheilds to ensure your own survival? Meanwhile Kael'thalas has already decided that you are the meatsheild here, so he's leaving the combat to you and the worthless snake-woman.

Wowhead doesn't seem to have the information up for the Dreadlord Infiltarators, so here's a brief rundown:

Melee Attacks: about 2k damage
Shadowbolt (instant spell) about 3k damage
Carrion Swarm (3 sec cast?) about 20k damage (yes, seriously)

Obviously you are meant to interupt that insane second spell, but even if you manage to do so, they have a tendancy cast it immediately a second time, meaning if you don't have a second interrupt handy, do your best to avoid it just before it triggers, as they appear to have a set cone direction once cast.

*Okay, there's probably a trinket, a consumable or a toy or something you can get to safely aggro the mob to your location, and away from the group

Description

Nathrezim. Dreadlords. The Unseen Guests. Call them what you will, they are a race that was crafted to be the greatest collection of spies and infiltrators in all of reality, once upon a time. Their intrusion has underestimated three things. Kael'thas Sunstrider, Baroness Vashj, and <name>! I have brought a tool Kael'thas and I used to detect nathrezim when we served under Illidan. And I am the matron of spies! Let us hunt these intruders down.
