This quest isn't popping up for me

I've done every single quest up to this one but it refuses to pop up

If you can't get this quest to pop make sure you've spoken to Gresit in the crypt at 71,80 and picked up the quest Formal Entertainment. Seems a bit hidden and can easily be missed.

This quest does not always display as an exclamation point on the NPC or the mini-map. Once you've completed the preceding quest to help him, talk to him again to see if he does indeed offer this quest.

isnt working. have quest to talk to him to start it and it doesnt start

this was very strange and non intuitive.

The guest, Kassir, likes formal so the goal is to get the formal bar as far to the right as possible.

I did things like:

- clean up rocks (though I didn't see many)
- serve tea to guests that did not have any
- Kassir was off fighting mobs by himself, no idea, not sure what I was supposed to do with him. I helped him fight mobs but I was trying to serve him tea, which I couldn't do if I was fighting.
- I did some judging of the Accusers souls. This probably got me the most
- I killed a rare and took the sinstone drop from the rare and gave it to Prince Renathal.

Whole thing was bizarre, not sure what I was supposed to do. I got some total junk from the chest (a Vault Key and a Inquisitor sin stone).

If you for some reason you didn't do this until you have at least 3 ranks of the EC, be aware that when you do this quest it will show you can get a 2nd guest. Don't waste items trying to change the guest to a different one. Just did an alt doing this intro quest to open the court and she had a rank 3 EC which allows 3 guests.

However, when I actually opened the court, only Kassir was there which is normal for the practice court that you do for this quest. I wasted a bunch of rubies changing to a guest with needs better in line with Kassir (who can not be changed for this practice court.) Wanted to share in case it helps others.

Also, you won't get a regular attempt at the court the same week you do the practice one.

At level 70, it appears you can no longer enter the Ember Court.
