Go to the platforms and other areas where you see what look like tall white water-striders. Play the harp, then loot the silk off the ground, it will be a round white circle in front of the silkstrider.

Hunters, you can just run platform to platform, when you get there, feign death. You can play the harp while feigning death, seems odd but it works.

The Harp is in your bags. The harp on the platform with the silkstriders is there to look pretty.

Don't do what I did and play the harp and run off...wait for the silk to spawn at the feet of the creature and loot it! 😅

Silk Shooter works in stealth. Not gonna lie, this was a lot of fun.

The Silk Shooter apparently has a timer on it. Maybe I missed the buff in my list, but it was roughly 5 minutes? I spent the entire time trying to look up how long it lasted. I was hoping it was like Silvered Weapons from Drustvar, an ability that was available anytime you were in the area. Sadly, it was not and I wasted it. Don't be me. Have fun while you can.

The Silk Shooter buff acquired by grabbing the item next to the questgiver doesn't seem to have a timer. Nor does it have a cooldown. Not sure how long it lasts but I'm loathe to turn the quest in since it's literally 563% faster than running (I have a script macro that shows speed; the flight path in the In-between goes about 4300% faster).

Sadly, the buff does not extend past the questing area.

Be careful when using the Silk Shooter as you can die from fall damage!

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Silk Shortage	Storyline start from Aithlyn 48 50 Ardenweald. You need to go to see Caretaker Lillythistle 38 29 inside of a fallen tree.
2 Tough as Silk	Kill mobs until 100%. You can do this quest together with The Shattered Harp. Quest return to Caretaker Lillythistle 38 29 inside of a fallen tree.
3 The Shattered Harp	Quest pick up from Broken Harp 38 28. Loot from mobs 3 Harp Piece. Is 30% drop rate. Quest return to Artisan Rees 37 29.
4 A Song for Silkstriders	"Quest start from Artisan Rees 37 29. Use Silkstrider Harp next to Maribel then appears Raw Silkstrider Silk You need 4 of them. Maribel location: 1. 37 27 2. 38 26 3. 34 28 4. 36 28 Quest return to quest giver."
5 Save Ol' Gertie	Slay Noisul of Many Faces 36 26. Quest return to Gertie Jr. 37 25

A Song for Silkstriders

Collect silk from the silkstriders by playing the harp for them.

Description

There, the harp is fixed. I am too injured to take it to the silkstriders, but you are strong. You can help them. Our precious silkstriders are all across the cliffs. When you find one, play the harp for them, and they will give you fresh silk. Make sure that there is nothing nearby to stress them out first though! If you find yourself in need of a way to move about swiftly, just take a Silk Shooter there, next to me. Aim it where you want to go, and it will shoot silk to pull you there!
