To complete this quest you need to Bring Kowalskos 100 Larion Flight Feathers.
This quest is actually was made for those who loves korean mmo videogames.
A single larion drops 1-4 feathers so you need to kill around 30-40 mobs to get enough feathers.
You can kill them at the previous quest spot or find another one.

Wings of Freedom optional storyline is required for Sojourner of Bastion

There is a table covered under the spoiler, you can check you progress through Wings of Freedom storyline.

Ditto on Aspirant's Rest dropped 3-7 each as statet by manna222 and RoseNoel01. +its more activ on questing so more folks hunting=more help.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that each mob only drops 2-3 feathers. Fortunately the Larions next to some trees near Kowalskos' area are on "hyperspawn" so you can chain kill non stop.

Looking at the model of the Larions. They have around 30-60 feathers on their wings alone. Are you telling me, that when our "champion" bows down to loot em, he takes 1-3 feathers from them? Are you frking kidding me?
This would have made sense if they dropped 10 ish feathers each.

The best spott is at 45.00/38.00.
There are around 15 and they spawn very quickly.
You can make a round, when you follw the outlines of the triangle.

Farmed it fairly quickly at 45.89.37.73 - South of the bridge from Sagehaven

Is this a throwback to the classic way of quest items? Where a mob will drop a rediculus low amount or none of the required items, when it makes no sense that it doesnt drop almost all in one kill? 0-3 feathers on a mob with giant wings, come on Blizzard.

You know those quests where you have to kill a ridiculous number of mobs, but then you realize that the game has some mass-killing mechanic that you're suppose to use to do it quickly?

This quest is like that, but without the mass-killing mechanic.

The grindiest and most mind-numbing quest so far this xpac. Be prepared to kill nearly 100 larions for your 100 feathers, since most drop 1, some drop 2, barely any drop 3+.

Literally the only reason I could complete this quest quickly was because I found a pair of druid bots farming Larions.

And even then it must have taken 10 minutes despite their incredible respawn rate.

Quest Name:	Start and description
1 Broken Wings	Storyline start from Kowalskos 42 42 Bastion. You need to get Ariella's Wing is drop from Ariella is flying around 45 36.
2 Feathers of Flight	You need to get 100 of Larion Flight Feather. I was farming this where is Ariella flying 45 36. Drop is 1-4 from 1 mob mainly farming on Swiftwing Larion.
3 Flight Test	Speak with Kowalskos and observe His high fly xD.
4 More Wings!	You need to get 10 Animyllis Bloom You can pick them up from Animyllis Bloom is small blue flowers. This Quest you doing together with Strings and Things.
5 Strings and Things	You need to find 10 Etherwyrm Filament is drop from all Etherwyrm mobs. Drop rate is low.
6 How to Catch a Glimmerfly	Go to 42 30 place Animyllis Bloom and press on incoming Revitalized Glimmerfly, You need to Capture 5 of them. If they will not fly to Animyllis Bloom just go to them xD.
7 Glimmerflight	Observe Kowalskos' test flight. Olmost there xD. This Quest is finishing Storyline.

While this specific quest in this questline was annoying, the rest go rather quickly.

The questline reminds me of an old Christmas TV short from 1991, "A Wish for Wings That Work". If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, young or old. :)

One of the worst kinds of questlines that put you off questing for a bit. An NPC you don't want to help, terrible drop rates from the Larions and the Etherwyrms. At least there's an interesting toy reward at the end, but I'll never do it again

I've had worse quests through the years... If you have a class that can handle a large group, you can gather two groups of Larion up around 45,38 and get 15-20 feathers. Doing a quick circle of that area after killing a few others this large group respawns so you can take them on again. Took me ~10 minutes with my Vengeance DH. Added bonus if you have skinning - plenty of Desolate Leather to gather.

Just wanted to point out that this quest cannot be taken or completed until you reach 60.

I took the Threads option on a Priest, I'm just a hair shy of 59 and I cannot take this quest yet.

The best place to farm these is the hill at 47, 37, the same place that you kill Ariella.

The larions there re-spawn quickly and there are usually 2-4 in a given area (sitting around the trees, and along the cliff's edge). I did this on my own and got the 100 feathers in about 10 minutes.
