In case you're as confused as I was, and not sure of what to do - you need to kill the Flowing Honey blobs around the farm. These will get you Vial of Honey Slime. Once you have 8 of those, go back down the cellar, and click Raimond's Secret Ingredient which is right behind Bumbles. Then target Bumbles and use the new quest item you got. :)

Some information on drop rates Flowing Honey Loots 154, Vial of Honey Slime 26 (17%), Bubbling Mead Loots 74 Vial of Honey Slime 30 (41%). 5 Green quality drops overall. This is after 7 daily completions.

Note you don't just turn up and start killing honey to get the drops. You need to first get the Annealed Honey Amulet to drop from one of the mobs around the Mildenhall Meadery - then head back to Boralis and listen to Rosaline's story.

Rosaline can be a bit tricky to find - see Annealed Honey Amulet comments for some help. After you hear her story she gives you a letter. You don't get a quest as such but take it back to the Meadery and you will find Ancel standing on the porch near the flight point.

Talk to Ancel, give him the letter, and then you get the Bumbles the Bee quest: Bumbles the Bee - and then you're back to here!

THEN go murder lotsa honey things.

You get a daily quest to do seven times to get the achievement and the pet Bumbles. Ancel is found on the steps near the FP each day, but if you log out after doing it one day, he will give it to you in the cellar (don't be dirty) when you come back the day after.

Not sure if it's the same for all (seems it might be), but after doing my seven dailies, I got a mail from Thaumaturge Vashreen with Large Honeycomb Cluster in it. Fugly pet.

When completing the achievement, the pet bumbles is sent to your mailbox.

Can confirm that the amulet drops from Bubbling Mead, I got it to drop after about 10 kills.

How to complete Let's Bee Friends:

pick quest /way 70,78, 69,14 (basement entrance)
kill Flowing Honey, Bubbling Mead and Honey-Crazed Mauler for drop 8x Vial of Honey Slime
back to /way 70,78, 69,14 (basement entrance)
click on the bottle
click on bumbles /tar bumbles
use Mildenhall Growth Formula
return quest

Really poorly implemented quest.

There's no indicator you need 8. There's no indicator on the mobs which ones quality for the quest.

Anyway, don't just concentrate on one type of mob like some have suggested. All the honey related mobs seem to drop it. The mobs I had the most luck with (might have just been luck) were the Honey-Crazed Mauler

Is this quest repeatable?

I have done this on 1 ally toon already and gotten the Bumbles pet.
Now I'm playing on a second ally toon.
Done all steps up to Raimond's Secret Ingredient and handed that in.

But no daily. So maybe one can only get it on one toon,which sucks for me cus I want that achivement on all my ally toons :P

I spent a good hour yesterday killing every bubbling mead, bee and other mobs round there and no amulet drop. Rosaline and Ancel I found but they had nothing to say to me without the amulet. I contacted a GM and asked if there was a problem with the drop and he was about as much use as a holey bucket on a sinking ship. He said it was a very rare drop the amulet and just to carry on grinding ...
Somewhat confused now because people below have said they got it after 10 kills, if anyone has done it recently and can enlighten me it would be much appreciated. I have cleared the zone obviously and done all the content

If you already have Bumbles and just want to collect Jelly on another character then do all the quests and get the secret ingredient and put it in the vial. It will seem like there is no daily quest after that, you have to get your Bumbles out and go down to the boat on the river and talk to Barry the bee keeper and green clouds will form on the ground that lead up to the hive in the mountains and you finish the quest line there.

Once you are doing the daily quest, it wasn't evident to me but just kill the Bubbling Mead and the Flowing Honey mobs in the area around the cellar. Once you have collected the 8 Vials of Honey Slime you can head back into the cellar and fill the vial behind Ancel Mildenhall, then feed the contents of the vial to Bumbles who is next to Ancel.

Collect 8 Vials of Honey Slime and mix them with Raimond's Secret Ingredient to make Mildenhall's Growth Formula, then feed it to Bumbles.

Description

We just need to collect some slime from the animated honey creatures that are still roaming around the farm. If you can bring back a few vials of that, we can put all our ingredients together and give the mixture to Bumbles. We should only feed him once a day, or he might get sick like some of the other bees. We're gonna have him all healed up in no time!
