This quest actually takes place in an instanced version of Azuremyst and the Exodar, like Bringer of the Light did. If you try to venture out into the rest of Azuremyst, or even enter the Exodar via the main entrance rather than the side entrance, you will hit an invisible wall.

Has anyone figured out a way to pick up this quest if you dropped it? Mine was bugging, but now I can't pick it up again! The ship (The Sunstrider) that the NPC who gives this quest (Vindicator Boros) was on isn't at the end of the dock anymore! I put in a ticket but it says eighteen hours!

EDIT: Ok, I figured it out. If you dropped this quest, you need to go back to Stormwind harbor and find Vereesa Windrunner on the Wind's Redemption ship which is in between the top and second dock. She's at /way 21.4, 30.4 and tell her you're ready. The ship will then zone to the instanced version of Azuremyst where you can pick up Light's Exodus. Hope this saves someone a few hours.

And don't try teleporting to the Exodar either. To get back into the instanced version, go back to the boat in Stormwind Harbour and talk to Vereesa Windrunner.

If you're Horde and left the Vindicaar before completing this quest, you simply need to go back to Orgrimmar's harbour. Talk to the elf on the red boat, she'll port you to Exodar. Go down in the capital, click on the device to teleport you onto the Vindicaar, and then talk to Velen.

Et voila, you should be back where you lost it!

If for some reason you can't get back here and don't have the portal yet, simply return to your capital city's Harbor/Docks and speak to the appropriate NPC on the boats.
Alliance: Vereesa Windrunner
Horde: Lady Liadrin
Have them take you to the Exodar scenario and immediately head left into the Exodar and take the Lightforged Beacon and you can pick up the quest(s) from Velen or take the beacon there.

So, for anyone like me confused on how to start this. I first attempted to port over there myself to no avail.

I found you have to actually speak to Vanessa on a ship at Stormwind harbor to get teleported there or to the instance itself.

Recently I'm not sure if you have to be in the Legion timeline that you can choose from Chromie as of the pre-patch for Shadowlands, but if Vanessa is not on the ship and you have the quest. Make sure you're in the Legion timeline.

I'm having an issue, where I've completed 'Two If By Sea', but I don't have 'Light's Exodus' in my quest log. Whenever I go to Orgrimmar Docks in Durotar, the ship with Lady Liadrin isn't there. I'm guessing that my Durotar is in a wrong phase, but I have no idea how to fix it. Put up a WoW ticket, but they just keep using ChatGPT to generate answers, so I'm not getting any help from them.
